Photoshop :: Obtaining Only The Outside Lines Of Objects
Jul 23, 2007
say we have a photo, like a machine part...I would like to obtain only the outside lines of the objects inside the photo...I try to create something like cross-section of the photo...is it possible with photoshop ?
It's an e-commerce site for some sports related jewelry that he made, and he wants to protect the logos we worked on and the site design. What I've usually seen are people slapping a copyright date on their work and calling it good. However, I don't think that's really going to protect anything from being ripped off. I'm looking at websites and what it looks like is that I have to get an attorney and file some paperwork with the US Copyright Office.
I am trying to write a 3d geometry exporter for AutoCAD.
Firstly, is iterating through the document database, and processing any Solid3d, Region & Body entities the best way to do this, or is there a faster way to access the 3d geometry?
Secondly, I assume using the first approach above, I need to process each entity as a Brep in order to get the vertices, polygons, etc. In this case, how are the UV coordinates for each vertex obtained?
When saving using PNG optimizer I can obtain transparency selecting a single color (image attached), what is handy, but implies to save the image! When handling images in files as PSPImage, PNG, GIFF, is there any way of obtaining transparency besides using PNG optimizer? I mean, I would like to obtain transparency any moment, without being need to save the image...
I've been stuck on this for a while and im going through some blog posts at the moment to try and find some pointers but it cant hurt to ask here as well.
Im trying to obtain the handle/objectIDs from newly created objects made using the CO command or the copyclip pasteclip (ctrl+c, ctrl+v) command, imediately after they have be placed without the user having to click on them.
I have tried a method described elsewhere whereby you reduced the canvas size to say 95% then increase it by 105%, but the problem with this is that it doesn't create a border of equal width. The sides of a landscape orientated rectangular image end up being thicker than the top and bottom.
Is there a simple method for obtaining a border of equal thickness?
Exporting to PNG. reference:[URL] We have multiple layers (some off and locked). I'd like to pass all the selected items to the Image Optimization Action as a group instead of optimizing each one. I am using AIMatchingArt Suite to get the selected items, but it points to an array of AIArtHandles..
I used to be able to obtain the sqare footage of an area with the AREA command. A list would generate about seven or eight lines, listing the square footage, inches, perimeter etc.
Now all i see is one line; the area/perimeter (see attachment). Did i change a setting somewhere to obtain this simplify version of the AREA cmd? Something is not right...
I tried the MASSPROP and MEASURE GEOM, those will not show the square footage. This used to be so easy, what am i missing...
In LDT listing curve data was as easy as selecting an alignment, clicking edit and printing out a spreadsheet with all the required info. how to do this in C3D. Inifo I need:
I am lucky enough to have access to a developer version of the recent Xbox One Kinect hardware. Naturally there is currently no software on the market that allows point clouds/mesh's to be obtained using the scanner within the Kinect.
I have seen that AutoCAD has been utilised to achieve this and wondered if there is any literature or instructions as to how this is achieved? Is there a plugin required that is able to control the Kinect V2 and output point cloud data from scans?
I've been getting pink or purgle lines bordering certain objects in my photographs. You can see them on the RAW images. When I merge them using HDR you can see how prominent the lines become. I'm not sure if the problem occurs in my camera (Canon T2i) or lens when I take the shot.I've tried using Color Range and the Magic Wand Tool but it is a tedious process.
Is it possible to warp a Smart Objects using corners and straight lines in stead of curves? I try to make a map icon in which you can easily replace the image on the map. I know how to do this warp with paths by adding anchors, but it won't work with a Smart Object (or a simple image for that matter)
It should look like the right image:
If I try to do it by splitting the image and transform them like on the left image, the transition between the 'panels' isn't correct.
I need to create two separate enclosed objects (a & b) – both of which individually can be reduced/increased in size using the contour tool.
I initially created a rounded oblong shape and added two wavy lines. I'm having trouble removing the unneeded horizontal lines and connecting the other lines up.
What I'm looking to do is show the hidden lines blocked by a part in a plan view but not all of the hidden lines. Ie. I have a top view showing a clearance. If I turn on that clearance a portion of the original part is not viewed. When I turn on hidden lines I now see every hidden detail of that part (I didn't turn on hidden lines for the entire drawing). I then have to eliminate all the lines I don't want which is both tedious and cumbersome. Is there a way to turn on just the lines hidden by a particular object but not all the hidden lines of the part.
How to evenly space objects between 2 lines. In this instance I am trying to space recessed lights across a ceiling. If I use the divide command and snap to the node the space between the wall and the first light will be greater than the space between the first and second light.
My boss came to me with a max question and its been a while since ive used max. he has a single diagonal line on the face of every solid in his model. I tried every fix i know and nothing worked.
then we found a site and the fix worked after reboot, for all of 5 minutes and the it went back. He is using XP based pc with MAX7.
Im creating plans for a new entryway and so that I have some perspective on how it will all join together i'm also creating a 3d model of my entry idea. In order to move things around to get a better view of how im planning on building this entry, I joined studs together so that I can move things around in the viewport without having to select each object. I know I can grab all the objects at the same time to move but I was wondering IF there is a way to union objects so that they dont lose the lines between joining objects. For example if 2 - 2x8 studs are next to each other and I were to union them, then they would plot as a 4 x 8 instead of 2 - 2 x 8's OR is there a way to maintain lines after union?
when i am trying to use a function like mirror or offset..etc i will select the lines or objects then i will make a mistake such as selecting the wrong base point or such. i then press esc to end that function and try again but find it annoying that i have to select all the lines again. is there a quicker way to reselect the last lines or objects selected. "like the (L+enter) to use line function type macro".
This is a closed polyline, how can I delete the edge? Is there some sub object selection mode for polylines?
sub_objects.jpg
This was the initial situation or problem, two control points lying on eachother, instead of dragging the edge and removing the extra polyline, is there a way to collapse or weld the overlapping elements?
I produced some objects in Inventor 2013 and exported to DWG to be assembled in AutoCAD 2013. All is fine except when i look at the objects in a 'hidden' view these weird diagonal lines appear over the objects. I am unable to clcik these but when i zoom in they gradually disappear but. If I try to plot the object as shown these lines are printed. This also happens when saving to pdf.
we are using AutoCad 2011 and 2008.When any draw is open everything seems to be just fine, but when we print it out then it came out with lines around the objects(green, grey...)
We have tried 4 different printers with all drivers that we could found on internet, with no success. On the ploter we aren't having any problems and the lines are gone. Also the AutoCad 2006 is without the problems, but we want to move on to the version 11
If the 2D layout is updated I need to move featurelines and gradings to the new locations without changing their Z values. It seems OSNAPZ is supposed to serve this purpose but it's not working for me. I have OSNAPZ=1 and ELEV=0 but when I snap a featureline vertex to the 2D linework the vertex ends up at elevation zero. How do I make this work?

When I use the built-in dwg to PDF for publishing multiable layout tabs I somtimes get extra and/or missing lines and objects on the PDF. When in model space no extra lines a present or missing. Everything is where it need to be. Same goes when a review the drawing in layout before I publish to PDF.
I am looking for a way to use objects created from lines and arcs as text because of a machine that will not read text. The objects look like letters and numbers. I am wondering if there is a way to create a text style, library or whatever with the created "text". There can be hundreds of characters on a single drawing so importing and aligning and placing each object 1 at a time is very slow and painstaking.
I've been working on this project for so long and today when i saved the 3d model, created with autocad architecture 2014,and reopened it, the walls , slabs, doors all changed into lines, but the 3d solids remained the same....i 've attached a photo what happened to my model.
What i'm trying to do is cut multiple circles in half (45° angle), i know that i need first "outline stroke" to make the circle lines into object (i think it's called). I have used "offset path" to get more of these lines.
I was told that if i want to cut the other half of the circle i need to use pathfinder, but everytime i use the "minus front" option, it leaves me with only on half circle while i mad 2 circles, the second circle disapppeard. How can i cut both circles in one go. (is there a way to combine these circles (not grouping))
