Currently using civils 3D. MY command line/toolbar has for some unknown reason shrunk to 2 inches in length.
When I try to resize it, there is no way to reposition it, resize it, or alter it in any way.
Civil 3D 2013/ When I try to move or un-dock the command line window, a red circle with a line through it appears.
When I switch work spaces still the same result.
I am new to AutoCad 2013 from 2000. When I try to move my command line, because it's in the way, I get a fatal exception error.
View 6 Replies View RelatedI am working with vector art that has lines that either look like they were cut off and not finished out or extend to the edge of the page so they are straight when they should actually be curved.
Is there any way to take a straight line or part of an image and curve it with ease or will I have to redraw or alter each line?
I press CTRL+9 to make the Command Line disappear while drawing. When I plot (or when doing a plot preview) , the Command Line appears again by itself. So I always have to turn the Command Line off manually after each plot
The bug still happens;
- if Dynamic Input is turned off or on
- if I plot to a real device or in PDF
- if the Cammand Line Palette i docked or floating.
This is not an issue in AutoCAD 2012 so I guess it has to do with the new way they programmed the revamped Command Line palette in 2013.

When I draw a square and then a line attached to the square and then try to move the line the line the square move with it. How can i avoid that

if you care to not click-through, the problem is that certain commands (not all of them) simply do not disply in the command line. so the MOVE command for example looks like this:
NORMAL:
Command: _move
Select objects:
NOW:
Command:
Select objects:
same with QSAVE and who knows how many others.
line command is a multiple command. there is a way to execute it like a single command?

I don't know if a variable got reset or something but this is weird. Normally I can resize a viewport and the objects stay in the same location. But now they seem to be moving relative to the edge of the viewport.

Basically I got a process which is quite long , let's say 30 seconds.
I want put a counter at command line showing to
user how many objects has been processed so far. But I don't want to use New Line Feed to change the line and keep each new number at same line and same location of command line.
I try to create a new pipe dynamic block. But I have a problem with my block. In the block, the distance2 I wanna change to some sizes follow the table. And the center line, it changes follow the sizes table, and must be center line when I change pipe size. I can not do it. How to make the block working correctly.

I have a user that can't move or resize his xref dialog box. He is using dual monitors and has no problem with any other dialog box. I've tried changing settings for docking/hide.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI just got AUTOCAD 2013 and I have problem using MOVE command. With my previous version AUTOCAD I was able to move one by one every line from the object I created. Now with the new version when I use MOVE command, not only one line is moved, it is moved the whole object (Like the object is a block, but is not).
How can I move only one single object from my drawing?
I am having issues moving and resizing a image once it has been "placed" onto the document. It seems to be locked and even when I agree to place the image, I can still not move or resize it. This happens on all file types and CS6.

When I try to resize an layer using the move tool (as opposed to the Free Transform tool), while I'm in the process of moving the scaling handles, the bounding box reflects my movement but the layer preview stays at it's original size. When I stop moving the handles there is a few seconds delay and then the new scale size shows up. If I try to move the handles again, without commiting to the transform, the layer preview reverts back to it's original size until I've finished moving the handles.
I didn't have this problem with CS4 and I've only recently upgraded. I work around this problem by using the proper Free Transform tool (ctrl+t) but it would be nice to know why the hell this happens. It seems to me to be more of a graphical glitch than a software preference but I thought I'd check just-in-case.

I usually use Photoshop and Fireworks, but have gotten sick of paying through the nose. I just installed Paint.net and notice that this program appears to be a great alternative to the above mentioned, but seems to be lacking a few tools. Once I get past the basics, I'll really start enjoying this program.
If I draw a square on a new layer, how do I select it to resize it or move it. I have tried to use the 'Move Selection' tool, but it keeps moving the entire layer and doesn't select the square.

The selection of object works. Moving the set between two points works. The only thing thats too advanced for me is the drag posibility VB offers.
Before I upgraded to AutoCAD 2014 (was using 2012) when I used the MOVE command on 3D geometry (while using the Realistic Visualization) I could see one object move into another. Like, moving a cylinder into a box to represent a button, and I would see it slowly sink into the box as I moved it further and further along.
In 2014, the object I am moving will REMAIN ON TOP visually of all other geometry until it is completely inside the other geometry (at which point it disappears completely). It's hard for me to then judge just how much of it is sticking out during the MOVE command. Once I complete the move command, the proper visualization order is then shown.
In other words, if I have a 10 inch cylinder, and I'm trying to move it into a box so only 2 inches sticks out (as a visual guesstimation), currently I would see ALL 10 inches of the cylinder whether part of it is inside the box or not, until I complete the MOVE command.
During text creation, I can resize the text by changing font size, use move it around..Later on if I want to modify the text (resize, move to another location)...I don't know how..

This wasn't a problem in previous versions, but now when I select more than one clip (or grouped objects), the effect controls go away. I have a lower third (the title and 2 different cropped color mattes) that I want to be able to move and resize while maintaining their relationship, and I can't figure it out. I've been using Premiere for a long time, and this is a huge inconvenience. I also cannot highlight multiple clips, and adjust their length together. Sometimes it will work (rarely), but most of the time it will only adjust one at a time. It's a real nuissance when you have upwards of ten layers you need to adjust together.
View 5 Replies View RelatedThis is such a common task, there may be cause to have a Resize option bundled with the Export command. Having to always perform them as two separate steps is an annoyance, but the possibility of accidentally saving the wrong resolution back to the XCF file is a danger.
A question that asked late last year as I had a need to resize and keep working on original. That's when I found the save for web had been reinstated as 2.6.
Part of the motivation for the save/export distinction in the firstplace is later being able to introduce such improvements to exportworkflows (as well as other neat things; like being able to choosebetween export presets, multiple named regions - and more). Without aclear conceptual internal seperation - such future improvements willbe much harder.
When I use the move command to, let's say, to move a floor plan (drag to new location on the page), some of the lines in the "moved" floor plan are either skewed or missing. I'm able to "cut and paste" as welll as "copy with basepoint" w/out problem.

If you select an object and then drag it, it moves. This is without initiating the MOVE command and without picking any grips.
