I have a user that can't move or resize his xref dialog box. He is using dual monitors and has no problem with any other dialog box. I've tried changing settings for docking/hide.
View 2 RepliesI cannot get dialog boxes for purge, xref, etc. I only get the command line.
I made sure filedia=1 and cmddia=1.
The tilde ~ key will not bring up the dialog box from the command line.
Any commands or 3rd party applications that would allow me to move or stretch objects that reside in an XREF?
The cherry on top would be the ability to do this to only specific layers.
What happened to the option/enter command in the move object dialog that has been around since the early days of Illustrator??? Instead of having to mouse click the "copy" button in the move object window, one could just hold down option with Return or Enter and the Copy command would happen rather than a simple move. Immensely useful for prepress work!
View 2 Replies View RelatedOccasionally my PS gets stuck in Move Mode. Only the hand icon appears in the picture I'm attempting to edit. If I select another tool via the tool bar, or short cut, the tool bar on the top line changes appropriately, but the tool icon in the window remains the hand (move tool). The only way I have found to resolve is close PS and re-boot the PC.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI am having a problem with my create and move tools. It has just started happening that every time I create an object it automatically is created at the origin. I am unable to move any of the objects i am creating from this position. I can rotate them and scale them but just cant move them. I have checked everything i can think of, they aren't locked or on a locked layer. I converted them to an editable mesh and could move them like this but the gizmo remains stuck at the origin.
Probably something really simple, just never came across it before.

View 2 Replies View RelatedWhen I am in paper space I sometimes double click in my viewport. Then the viewport becomes my whole window. How do I get out of the viewport without doing an undo until I reach where I first began?
Also sometimes when I double click in the viewport, but the viewport is the only thing visible in the screen, (vs having the whole sheet and being able to click out) I don't know how to get out without Undo.
I am using AuotCAD Architecture 2012 and suddenly the Xref/Block Object List dialog box stopped opening when I use the XLIST command. How Can I get this back?

Upon setting up a drawing for plotting (the problem is not printer specific) the "Print Preview" gets stuck in a loop where I am unable to exit if I choose to cancel or alter the settings. I am forced to go ahead and send the plot. If iI immediately go back and run the PLOT command again nothing happens... no dialog box, no error nothing. I must then go to any other open dwg, do a save, and then go back to the original dwg. Then the PLOT command will again work, however, still getting stuck in the preview loop.
While publishing several drawings I am having problems creating Single Sheets, (a customer preference). Even though I have the Multi-sheet/Single-sheet setting set to "Single" Autocad still creates a multi-sheet PDF. I am using Autocad 2012.

The text in the corner just says "Loading", and I've left it for hours an it really isn't.
When I switch tabs in my UI (I use Drafting and Annotation), they bug somehow and they don't upgrade visually. What I mean is that if I switch "Home" tab to "Annotate", it keeps showing "Home" tab maximized, but the if I click "Line" it would use "Multiline tool", as they occupy same space in corresponding tab. I can fix it temporarily by multi-clicking bar, but after next switch between tabs, it would bug again. I assume it is not hardware problem, as it used to work for me, then I reinstalled my OS and bug started.
View 7 Replies View RelatedI used refedit to freeze a couple of items that were nested. My drawing file/machine locked up when I attemped to freeze them. I had to reboot, when I opened the file again I was still stuck in refedit mode. I cannot use refclose to get out our that command. It wants me to use refedit again. I need to get back to my work.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI was attempting to hatch a simple closed polyline when all of sudden AutoCad had to pull a stunt and give me the FATAL ERROR shut down. When I recovered my drawing, it automatically launched the hatch creation window..just as i left it. However, nothing works. I can't hatch anything, and I can't close the hatch editor ribbon. If i try to select an area to hatch, it lets me select it, but then glitches out and asks me for a base point to move something. I've tried everything, DPLGMODE set to 1, save as, close, shut down, etc..
View 8 Replies View RelatedUsing GIMP 2.8.10 in Windows 8.1. The two default dialogs open are Layers and Brushes. The Layers dialog takes most of the space. I want to shrink it vertically but when I try to drag up the cursor with the two vertical arrows it moves by itself without resizing the dialog. When I do the same horizontally it works fine. I would like to see less of the Layers dialog and more of Brushes dialog. How do I do this?

I don't know if a variable got reset or something but this is weird. Normally I can resize a viewport and the objects stay in the same location. But now they seem to be moving relative to the edge of the viewport.

When I try to resize it, there is no way to reposition it, resize it, or alter it in any way.
am experiencing display problems with Civil 3d 2012 on my Hp Elitebook laptop, when i open surface properties and go to styles dropdown menu i get empty dialog but if i move mouse cursor out of the dialog they appeared the same issue appears on other dialogs. I installed c3d 2013 trial still i get same problem. I installed autodesk certified driver same problem.

The only remedy seems to be to kill the process and lose the work. I am running Windows 7 Home Premium service pack 1 (32-bit) and release 16.2.0.998 of Corel Draw. This is not the demo version, it is a purchased license.

The third party software I am stuck with has disabled in place editing an Xref.
The specific application I need is to allow the user to move an intelligent room tag that is XReffed into discipline specific models. Disciplines are Architectural, Mechanical, Electrical..Etc. Each discipline has their own room tag and needs to move their own tag to a location that can be clearly seen on their finished plot. Xref edit in place is the perfect tool for this..But since the third party has disabled the command, I need an alternative method.
I am having issues moving and resizing a image once it has been "placed" onto the document. It seems to be locked and even when I agree to place the image, I can still not move or resize it. This happens on all file types and CS6.

When I try to resize an layer using the move tool (as opposed to the Free Transform tool), while I'm in the process of moving the scaling handles, the bounding box reflects my movement but the layer preview stays at it's original size. When I stop moving the handles there is a few seconds delay and then the new scale size shows up. If I try to move the handles again, without commiting to the transform, the layer preview reverts back to it's original size until I've finished moving the handles.
I didn't have this problem with CS4 and I've only recently upgraded. I work around this problem by using the proper Free Transform tool (ctrl+t) but it would be nice to know why the hell this happens. It seems to me to be more of a graphical glitch than a software preference but I thought I'd check just-in-case.

I usually use Photoshop and Fireworks, but have gotten sick of paying through the nose. I just installed Paint.net and notice that this program appears to be a great alternative to the above mentioned, but seems to be lacking a few tools. Once I get past the basics, I'll really start enjoying this program.
If I draw a square on a new layer, how do I select it to resize it or move it. I have tried to use the 'Move Selection' tool, but it keeps moving the entire layer and doesn't select the square.
