AutoCad :: How To Recover Tool Bars
Jan 30, 2012The color, linetype and line width sections of the toolbar no longer show on the working screen but they do show on the toolbar manager. How do I recover them?

AutoCad :: Position Of Tool Bars Changes
Jul 25, 2013I'm having trouble setting up my toolbars. I position them the way I want, but as soon as I switch back from a different workspace (lets say3D modeling) the position of the toolbars change. Also I can't get the scroll bars to disappear for good, they always come back
Here is what I do exactly:
1. Change the content and the position of the toolbars (acad classic workspace)
2. Lock down the toolbars
3. Go to options => profiles, create a new profile (add to list), set current
4. Change workspace to 3D modeling
5. Change workspace back to acad classic

The result is: content of the toolbars is the way I want, but the position is changed. The toolbars are locked, so in order to move them to the desired place I have to unlock.
AutoCAD .NET :: Accessing Tool Bars / Buttons
Oct 6, 2011I'm setting up some custom toolbars and that's no problem, but what I'd like to do is have one of the buttons be a toggle, so the icon changes depending on what state it is in. I'm just having a bit of trouble figuring out how I find those buttons programatically from within C#. I've included Autodesk.Autocad.Customization which gives me the Toolbar, Tool bar button, etc classes, but I don't know how to find the existing toolbars from the running session of AutoCAD.

Jul 8, 2013On two occasions now since last software update, when I open Autocad LT 2013, my tool bars are all gone. I use a customized layout/workspace based off the original/classic layout option. When I change layout to drafting/annotation, toolbars for that layout appear, but when I switch back to my saved layout, all tool bars are still gone and I have to go through whole process of adding the ones I want again.

Apr 22, 2013I went to use my laptop with autocad LT 2012 which I do not use that much. When I lookd all the Icons on the tool bars are missing. The tabs still work but it is hard to figure out what they do. I have not changed any settings.

Dec 1, 2011Just installed AutoCAD 2012, started to set up my tools and found many of the ACAD toolbars displaying the wrong, or no icon for the commands. Example: Modify TB
displays "move" for erase
"mirror" for rotate
"fillet" for explode
This is true with the Draw TB, Dimension TB, UCS TB...and more..I have not even customized any toolbars yet...just turned on/off the AutoCAD ones.

Apr 25, 2013I draw a lot of custom metal products at my work, many times they require an isometric view to fully understand what needs to be fabricated. I need to show what is welded on top of what, which usually involves me drawing out a whole line, and then large amounts of trimming to show what gets layered underneath. It is annoying but not so bad until the design gets changed, and then I basically have to start over again because any changes at all cause all the lines to not match up. Is there an easier way to do this?
I have tried drawing these in 3-d, but my computer freezes up on me too much. I was thinking if there was a way to draw something so that it is solid, I can then use draw order to show which bar is to be welded where. The only way I know how to do that now, uses solid hatching, and then prints the solid area solid black, and you can't see my anything but a black grid, not showing layers at all. I'm attaching an example of what I sometimes draw,

AutoCAD Civil 3D :: PDF Attachment Showing Bars?
Oct 7, 2013I've attached a PDF to my drawing and when I zoom in a bit it shows horizontal bars all over the PDF. The bars show up when printing as well. This is the first time it has ever happened to me.
My PDF Underlay contrast is set to 100, fade to 0, monochrome No, and Adjust colors for background Yes.

Jun 21, 2012I'm trying to learn autocad and I just downloaded the 2012 version. I can't figure out how to make the modelspace look the format in all the tutorial videos. I don't have a big menu bar on the top or bottom. It's so hard for me to follow videos when nothing looks the same and I can't find the buttons/commands.

Sep 17, 2013I'm having an issue with the action bar locations. While I am creating the dynamic block, the actions all attach them selves to their respective parameters. The problem is that somehow at some time, the action bars change their mind and all lock down to the origin. All my action bars and icons are on top of each other. Is there a parameter to adjust to make the action bars move back to their parameters? Images are attached.

Jan 31, 2012When I switch tabs in my UI (I use Drafting and Annotation), they bug somehow and they don't upgrade visually. What I mean is that if I switch "Home" tab to "Annotate", it keeps showing "Home" tab maximized, but the if I click "Line" it would use "Multiline tool", as they occupy same space in corresponding tab. I can fix it temporarily by multi-clicking bar, but after next switch between tabs, it would bug again. I assume it is not hardware problem, as it used to work for me, then I reinstalled my OS and bug started.

Apr 24, 2013I have many PDF files of a plotted drawing and a few DWGFx files that were previously saved. However, I do not have the original DWG source file for the PDF files. I'm using AutoCAD 2012 and used the "XREF" command then "Attach PDF" from top left corner pulldown to save the PDF in DWG format. However, I do not know if I am able to edit from this state. Do I need to buy a PDF to DWG converter instead? If so, is the Print2CAD the best software to use? I see a few free sites listed throughout the message board.

I was working on it last night and saved it like normal and today it won't open. This is my only copy of the file and I don't want to start over. How to recover at least part of it? Aug 13, 2012My autocad gets a fatal error unhandled exeption error and crashes when I etransmit from the sheet set manager. it hangs for awhile then crashes, and I have to close the application. This is a very xref heavy job with files from all diciplines culminating to create a zip file for the project. It worked with Acad 2012, took a long time, but worked. By the way this is accross all our our new AutoCAD 2013 installations who try to transmit from this project. I've tried others and it works fine. Just this project. Dec 1, 2011I had started a new drawing on our template and worked on it for an hour or so. I had not saved it or anything so it was simply titled "Drawing2.dwg." Well, during a simple text command AutoCAD decided to crash. It said it could try to recover the drawing, but when I looked around for it I couldn't find it anywhere.
I've had this happen before...is there ANYTHING that can be done or did I just lose all my work?
