View 2 RepliesWhen I first downloaded gimp it worked great. Now the side tool bars are gone and I don't know how to restore them. I've attached a picture of what it looks like when I open gimp so you can see it's only the main center window that opens.

View 2 Replies View RelatedIs there any way to lock the tool bars into the GUI instead of having them get in the way all the time?
View 5 Replies View RelatedI'm having trouble setting up my toolbars. I position them the way I want, but as soon as I switch back from a different workspace (lets say3D modeling) the position of the toolbars change. Also I can't get the scroll bars to disappear for good, they always come back
Here is what I do exactly:
1. Change the content and the position of the toolbars (acad classic workspace)
2. Lock down the toolbars
3. Go to options => profiles, create a new profile (add to list), set current
4. Change workspace to 3D modeling
5. Change workspace back to acad classic

The result is: content of the toolbars is the way I want, but the position is changed. The toolbars are locked, so in order to move them to the desired place I have to unlock.
I'm setting up some custom toolbars and that's no problem, but what I'd like to do is have one of the buttons be a toggle, so the icon changes depending on what state it is in. I'm just having a bit of trouble figuring out how I find those buttons programatically from within C#. I've included Autodesk.Autocad.Customization which gives me the Toolbar, Tool bar button, etc classes, but I don't know how to find the existing toolbars from the running session of AutoCAD.

Is it possible to copy specific files from my old computer to the new one so that I don't have to go through the process of setting up the desktop and tool bars all over again?
Is there an option somewhere within AI that allows you to enlarge the menu bar and the tool box...pretty much all the text/icons within the interface?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI am experiencing two problems. One is the tool icons in Photoshop are disappearing on the screen. I move the cursor and see nothing on my screen.
The second problem is at other times the proper tool icon and function is not showing up and working. I select for example the pen tool and the hand tool icon show up and the function works as the hand tool not the pen tool?
I recently started using GIMP and while distracted and not thinking very well obviously I accidently closed the tool window and the layer window which usually open with GIMP.Now they don't open and I cannot find a way to make them open again.
View 1 Replies View RelatedOn two occasions now since last software update, when I open Autocad LT 2013, my tool bars are all gone. I use a customized layout/workspace based off the original/classic layout option. When I change layout to drafting/annotation, toolbars for that layout appear, but when I switch back to my saved layout, all tool bars are still gone and I have to go through whole process of adding the ones I want again.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI went to use my laptop with autocad LT 2012 which I do not use that much. When I lookd all the Icons on the tool bars are missing. The tabs still work but it is hard to figure out what they do. I have not changed any settings.
View 6 Replies View RelatedI have created a custom tool bar for ACAD 2013. Each time I start a new ACAD session, my tool bar is not docked at the top of the screen and the other standard tool bars I do not want appear.
How do I permanently keep the unwanted tool bars from appearing? Also, in the upper left corner of the screen the following appears: [-][Top][2D Wireframe]. How do I get rid of if?
Just installed AutoCAD 2012, started to set up my tools and found many of the ACAD toolbars displaying the wrong, or no icon for the commands. Example: Modify TB
displays "move" for erase
"mirror" for rotate
"fillet" for explode
This is true with the Draw TB, Dimension TB, UCS TB...and more..I have not even customized any toolbars yet...just turned on/off the AutoCAD ones.
How to make animated user bars. This is useful if you have more than one userbar and want to display them in the same image. The end result will look like this.
There is no limit to the amount of images you can animate.
OK, firstly, we need a userbar. If you haven't got some you can make your own. I have made a tutorial with all the information you will ever need to know. You can view it here.
Once you have made some, open 1 up in The GIMP. Make sure you only open one, this is important.
Then go to, File ---> Open as Layer . . .
Select your other userbar and hit OK. What this does is open the userbar as a layer. Look, you can see the two userbars as seperate layers in my layer window.
Keep doing this to you have opened all the userbars you want to include in your animation. When you have done, go to File ---> Save as . . .
Save it as, "Userbars.gif". It is important to include the .gif, without this, the animation will not work. A window, will appear. Put in these settings.
Click "Export".
A new window will appear. Put in these settings.
Click OK.
You have now animated your userbars. Nothing to it really.
if you can customize / move tool bars & zoom in/out using mouse wheel with AutoCAD 2012 LT ?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI recently added a block ( by dragging & dropping from our dws block library file) to our shared Tool Palettes. The block showed up properly on everone's computer the day I added it. However each morning when we restart our computers the block is no longer on the palette and I have to redrag & drop it. I thought that prerhaps I needed to export the updated toolpalette, but when I go to the customize tool palettes dialog box and right click on the toolpalette I don't see the export or import options. I am at a loss. We are using AutoCAD Architecture 2013
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have a section cut that I use from my tool palette that disappears from paperspace. It shows up in model space and everything else I use from my tool palette shows in both model and paperspace. I have all layers on, unfrozen, etc. They are not on my defpoints layer either. It just seems to be that particular block that is disappearing. Its the strangest thing. One day it worked just fine and the next it started doing this.
View 5 Replies View RelatedThat opaque tool bar thing keeps disappearing. The one over on the right of the screen. Has the PAN command and a few other things. It just disappears at random. I'm sure there's a reason but I never notice any correlation as I'm busy when it happens.
I can switch to another drawing then switch back and it comes back. How do I easily turn it back on?

My right side tool bar: function icons keep disapearing. I cannot find a place to restore them.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI dunno if it is me, kde, gimp, or what.. but I can be editing along..yada yada.. do this, do that, and then look over and the toolbox on the left is missing most of the icons.. kinda like the scaling is wrong and the icons are pushed off the bottom under the tool options underneath it. sometimes it takes the usual layout with like 5-6 icons wide and replaces it with only 2 wide, sometimes only 1 wide. I tried stretching it and bringing it back, floating and redocking.. all with no fixy.
The only way I have figured out how to "undo" this is to close and restart gimp. Which is a pain when you have a mess of open files in various states of not done yet..
Regarding Gimp version 2.8.2, I'm posting text to a picture, the trouble is when I highlight and try to resize the text it disappears. The text layer is still on top and the eye is still visable, so the text should be visable.. I have tried different fonts and colors and sizes with no success, things I can check to make this work again?
I did just reinstall this version today ( a couple of times ) and that is when the trouble started.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI have a problem in Autocad2011model space when I drag blocks from the tool palette they disappear. The block initially appears when I grab it and drag it across the model space. Then when I go to insert it in position on the drawing as per normal it then vanishes. If I insert the same blocks using the 'insert block' method the blocks insert normally.
