It's Inventor and Showcase 2013.

View 16 Replies View RelatedWhen shooting Canon 5DII in JPG, Adobe Elements and Lightroom both import the complete images with all variations selected under the cameras Picture Style settings. When shooting in RAW, Adobe ignores these variables and imports ONLY the RAW image directly from the image sensor, ignoring all settings selected under Picture Styles. This is true in both sRGB and AdobeRGB.There is nothing about this in the Canon 5DII manual. This makes Picture Styles useless when shooting in RAW !?

For some of my files, however, the Save to File command doesn't work properly. If I am only displaying files with changes, the file briefly disappears, then returns. Even if I go to Windows Explorer and delete the xmp file, then again Save metadata to file, it pops up again with the badge saying it needs to be saved. I'm using Lightroom 4.3 64 bit on Windows 7.
View 12 Replies View RelatedI have just down loaded some commercially available 3D models needed for some presentation work.
I would like to turn these into 2D orthographic views, without the polymesh, is this possible.
File formats downloaded are .fbx .lwo .max .obj .xsi
the polymesh converter in autocad did not work.
I am aiming to plot and print a 3d model when it has been rendered.
I am able to save the rendered image when it is produced in its pop up box, but then when I try to import the image so that it can be plotted and printed it says that autocad doesn't support the file.
I have been trying to import my 3d views to 3ds max from revit as fbx files which has worked. But when trying to save it says either error writing to file or file is possibly corrupt. I have tried resaving and creating new files but that has resulted in the same problem, as well as creating new export files from revit, and saving on my h drive or on seperate usbs that have had no success.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI am trying to create a second base view (using Layout/Create View/Base from model space). The problem is, I need it to be rotated from the original base view. However, when I rotate the part in model space, ALL of my views change.
So I guess my question is, how do I create multiple views of the same part that are seperate from the other base views?
i have views lets say 3 views on a sheet but in the list of views theres mores that appears maybe i inserted the extra views that are showing but i deleted them to put them on another sheet
the problem is they show up in the list of both sheet and i can't delete them from the list of the sheet that they were before
When creating Views in .ipn files, using View Reps from .iam files, you get "Options" window where you can check Associative box, or leave it unchecked. How do yo get back to this window once the view is created?

This photo catalogue is updated with new photo every week in the library module, and I would like to be able to use these new photos in the book module. My friend was working on a file and did certain amount of work and then saved it. After an hour when he opened it again, all the work that he did was not showing. But it shows up in the preview icon of the autocadd file.
As such no layer is frozen / hidden / locked.
When I send a file to Ps from Lr, edit that file then save it, Lr puts that file at the end of the line instead of next to the file I was working on. When you have 600 photos in a down loud, it is a pain to scroll through the photo's to find your place again.
Is there a setting to force the saved file back in line next to the file that was edited in Ps?
Can the Plot command be used to combine multiple drawing views into a single DWF file?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI am doing design for a road network. For the ease of design, I designed the main roads and split the whole network into parts. Every part will contain Main Road Alignments and alignments for a respective parts only. Now I want to combine all these into one file. When I copy all alignments into one file, the surface I created earlier is duplicating and software gets hanged.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI´m trying export to dwg, and I can see all the process, but the export file is not saved.
I´m using the Autocad Civil 3D 2013 and this just happens in one specific file.
Alright, I'm not actually trying to do customization, I have a client that cannot save his drawing and have be in a "Saved" state. When creating a data shortcut, after saving the file (and doing nothing else, I watched), he is unable to create the shortcut because the drawing needs to be saved. Another example, when doing an e-transmit it tells him that the drawing hasn't been saved and if he wants to save the file. He clicks YES and then it tells him the drawing hasn't been saved and asks him if he wants to save it.
It seems to be isolated to this file. If he works in a different file, it works just fine. Also, I had him send me the files (via e-transmit) and I was not able to replicate the problem so, it seems to have something to do with this particular file on his system.
My question then is, can something be embedded into the file that will cause something to happen directly after a save (like a reactor)? He's using Civil 3D 2012 but I don't think it's anything directly related to Civil 3D.
In the drawing environment, is it possible to use the same file to show a client (example) option a or option b from the file? Meaning, can I create a separate side by side view in the idw using the same assembly file, but in different suppressed states? Or how does this work specifically? Right now all I have done is saved out the file with the different suppressed state showing, but this became obviously cumbersome quickly since the parts are similar and keep updating, thus forcing me to create yet even more optional files. I'm thinking that iLogic could be a possible fix.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI want to know how to open a dwg file that has been saved as a pdf file format so i can edit it.
Why do people save it to a pdf anyway? Doesn't that degrade the quality of the drawing?
I have a lot of clients that send me there drawing but i constantly have to tell them that they have to send the original form if they want it to be edited. Most of the time I have to use a converter to to convert it to a dwg file but the quality degrades drastically. I can’t believe in 2013 I’m still having problems with this.
I’ve tried Any PDF to DWG Converter but it doesn’t convert it very well.
One of our users, lets call him USER1, has recently received the following message when attempting to save an assembly:
"A later version of this file has been saved by USER1. Saving the file would overwrite changes which is not allowed. If you wish to preserve your changes, use the Save Copy As command."
To get to this error message, our user opens an IDW, then the IAM linked to that drawing. Changes made in the IAM are changing bolt lengths, adding fasteners from content center, things like that. After saving inside the IAM this message appears. There are multiple users on our network; but only this user is working the assembly in question when the message appears?
what makes this message appear, and how it can be avoided?
I managed to change a setting to where my files are being saved in a library folder and I can't edit them. I don't wish to continue with this nonsense. I want to be able to edit the files. I am not using a vault but still get a message that the file I am trying to open is not signed out to me. How did I manage to mess my settings up this badly. I don't remember changing any of my settings.
