AutoCad 3D :: Make Conic Shape For Fabric Umbrella Project
Oct 20, 2013
I am trying to make this conic shape for a fabric umbrella project. I have the outline in poly lines with the top column 3m below. I am just struggling to create a surface to represent the fabric membrane using the surface or mesh tools.
I've seen a fair number of graphics with cool fabric-like textures lately, where the design looks like it was printed on material, like this: URL...I looked up a few tutorials, but didn't have much luck with the results. How to accomplish this effect well?
I am designing a paper model airplane that has parts covered in fabric. Is there a tutorial on how to simulate a fabric effect (like you see on WWI bi-planes)?
CS6. I have this logo, red circle w/white letters and superscript 2. It's going to be printed on light gray fabric. I assume that I need to make transparent canvas and transparent letters (lu) so that it takes the gray color of the fabric and not the white background and letters of my file but when I rasterize type, save and open it again I cannot edit.
I am planning to create a blog post that discusses the mathematical characteristics of conic sections, and would like to include some images.
I have found images that are almost exactly what I would like, on the Mathworld and Wikipedia websites:
[URL]
I do not think I can just take an image from either of these sites, so I will probably have to make my own from scratch.
Is it possible to make these kinds of images in GIMP? (Will also need to be able to annotate the cutting angles of the planes, and include some Greek alphabet.)
Or do I need a commercial Mathematics software package to start the image, and then use GIMP to make relatively minor edits afterwards?
I am trying to loft a port shape for a project. I have been able to loft pretty much the same thing when part of a larger model but this time around it keeps giving me an error.
In the past i will loft the whole part then remove the inner portion to get the port.
I want to make a vector shape from a path. Is there a way to bypass having to define a new custom shape? I just want to quickly add the vector shape to a new layer, but I don't need it defined as it'll just be used once.
I have created one class library project using .NET API. So now I want to convert that project into the Setup project means I want to make installer for it. After that it installed, I want my plug in in the ribbon menu.
i need to make a list of all the coordinates (X,Y) or (X,y,Z) of all the points in my project
the shape of my project look like an Eclipse
i made it out of 236 points ... i want to to put all those points in a table of ( X,y,Z ) ... i think there is some kinda output that can do that for me
iam uploading a vedio on youtube to show u what iam talking about
[URL]....
just a list of X,y,z of every point how i can do that ?
I'm trying to figure out how to make a skewed corridor region for a bridge project (just one assembly I need to skew) the rest of the corridor is split into regions, the approach slabs and bridge deck assemblies are at about a 30 degree angle to the alignment.
I have a drawing with a lot of lines, already, in autocad. Now I want to add tags to the drawing. Meaning, I create a shape, a rectangle and put some words in it. Now I want to paste the rectangle tag with the words over my many lines drawing. But I want whatever lines that gets into the rectange frame to get overlapped by black space in the rectangle.
Its like pasting a sticker tag over my drawing. (what command to type )
I`ve not used the sheet metal parts that much but have a part which would suit Sheet metal.
How do i make this shape with sheet metal tools .Also how to press the groove starting in the metal at the begining of the bend and continuing through to the end of the bend at the opposite side.Would not even know how to start this part in sheet metal with Inv.2012.
Do i get the metal sheet and use bend to make the sides?
I need to take 3d objects, in this case fabric foils and flatten them so I can plot them on a table. Are there any plug-ins out there for use with Autocad 2012, or other third party software?
So I have a topographic surface I created from 3 lofts and 2 patches. The goal of the project is to: find out how many rolls of fabric will be needed to cover the surface, find out how far each roll will go, and create an assembly style sketch.
So far all I have is the surface. I was thinking I could divide it in sections by the width of the fabric (minus the overlap.) With each section, create a path, and use the sweep feature to sweep the profile of the fabric. Only sweep the length of the roll, till I reach the endpoint, and turn each sweep into a part file.
My first problem with this method is that I can't seem to project the surface of the topographic region to a sketch to create the path for the sweep. Does the surface need to be turned into a solid to do this?
I believe an easier method to this would be to thicken the topographic region, split the the thickened layer, and divide it into the sections I need to build the final sketch.
Is there a better method, and which method should I use. Also, is there any way to project a surface onto a sketch or does it have to be a solid?
I'm having trouble making my project fit all screens.
This is my project link: [URL]
I've made this project 7000px wide - scrollable horizontal - with a fixed object (the shopping cart) to make it feel like you are pushing the cart along the street. I then set height to about 1200 px, to prevent the bottom of the screen to go white.
I want this project to look good on mobile, iPad, laptop and PC/Mac - both orientations.
I thought I was in the clear with theese settings, but checking it on a small screen (laptop), the bottom of the stage fell out of the screen. And we can't have that...
I tried setting the height to 100%, tried having a smaller height (800px) and setting the background color to green, tried hiding and showing the overflow, but I can't seem to hit the perfect settings for this to work.
My inspiration comes from this project:[URL] Now, this works - as far as I can see - on all screens, both orientations.
I am project coordinator on a work sharing project. As such I am responsible for family creation and Project Standards and need to have these items editable. I can select them all and make them editable but they always get changed back to none editable? How do I check these out until I relinquish them?
I have a Project Template that is used when creating a new project. I noticed that the Tool Palette in the Project Template and the Tool Palette in the new Project are not the same. How do I get the new Projects to pull the same Tool Palettes from the Project Template?
How can I change the way the Project Browser maps the creation of new projects?
Currently, the new project folder is created and named according to the Project Name prompt. We want the folder to be named according to the Project Number prompt...
I've tried to custom shape tool and created a heart, but the text wont go the direction I want it to... I want it to start at the bottom left and go up and finish on the bottom right.
