i need a code to save user onscreen selection to jpg.
i think i will declare Graphic object and draw each entity in this object but what will i do for the text dimension complicated blocks.
Is it possible to select an object for reading in an XRef?
PS I think it has something to do with Editor.SelectNestedEntity() but it is the end of a long day and I can't fathom it out
When I select an object and pan to make another selection the first object "deselects". The object(s) will stay selected until I pan and as soon as I start to pan the grips go away and the object(s) is deselected.

I have figured out how to create and use a custom graphic for this. However, no matter what size circle I create, it seems to default back to the size of what the square was.
Is there any way to customize the size of the graphic objects used in the scatter chart?
I have an InDesign document, where I have defined some Object styles for my text frames - such as the size (width x hight) of the text frames, and this works fine.
I would like to do the same thing for my graphic frames, but I can't find this option. I figure it must be possible somehow?
An object style which makes the picture frame ex. 50 x 50 mm. with the picture centered in the frame.
I am working on a drawings with nested xrefs and am experiencing major delays when selecting objects using crossing windows. It is as if the computer thinks I am selelecting the xref even though the curser doesn't touch any visible exref entities. Basically, I click to start the window and the curser freezes for 10 to 20 seconds. I am experiencing the same problem with other commands (intermittenly) such as move, line, and offset. The exrefs are on a separate locked layer and have been moved to the back of the drawing.

View 9 Replies View RelatedI'm trying to wrap an image around a curved object. This is a front elevation of a sign I am attempting to render and the sign wraps around a pole. What I am attempting to do is not just "squeeze" the copy but actually attempt to show what the image will look like if you are looking directly at it which means that the closest portion of the image will look normal but as you look further out towards the edges then the graphic and copy would appear to merge and disappear backwards. I hope I am explaining this well. I am trying to wrap my brain around this concept. I know you can do this in photoshop with stretching but cannot fathom how I can attempt this in CorelDraw or Illustrator.
View 14 Replies View RelatedArchitectural logo has inserted as OLE object in the title block, we called this title block as x-ref and inserted the title block in paper space (layout). Now when we convert into pdf the drawing the OLE object logo is not appearing and the other coponents are appearing.
what could be the reason, for PDF conversion i am using DWG to PDF.pc3
When we convert same logo as a pdf overlay in CAD by using same .pc3 file it is working fine.

View 5 Replies View RelatedI created a planar projection and then I couldn't move the selection in the Open UV Editor. I found that you can't move them if the vertecies are moved in the W direction, so to flatten them. It sounded odd, but I thought I'd look into it.
So naturally I ctrl+click on Vertex to convert my selection. Both are selected now?
I went back and forth a couple times, and I still can't move my selection. It only scales, and it's pinned in the top right corner.
I exited that and went down to the base, editbale poly vertex, made a selection, and converted it to faces. Worked like I expected (and is also poorly documented in the help file because I knew it was there somewhere but couldn't find it).
I went back into the Unwrap UVW modifier and I can now move the same selection. So that's fixed, but I'm still wondering how to convert selections. I can't get it to work.
I cannot get the advanced select objects tools to work.
I type:
select <enter>
wp <enter>
Make my polygon, and then I'm stuck in a single item select mode. If I hit enter, they all unselect and I can't do anything. Typing a command (like "m") does nothing.
Typing m <enter>, and then doing the selection yields the same result. At the end of my selection process and I hit <enter>, it sits in the single object selection mode (the little box cursor). Hitting <enter> here again makes the selection dissapear and I'm back to square one.
every time I select something a small box pops up in my way with the object's properties. I can't figure out how it became turned on, and don't know how to get rid of it.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI've got a bunch of tags with a dedicated "tag mode" style, and if I select them individually I can add them to a table, no problem. However, if I try to do a mass selection of a swath of labeled lines or arcs i get the option to convert all non-tag labels to tag lables (I don't want that) OR don't add those labels not in tag mode (presumably keepin those that are). The problem I have is if I select the latter it deselcts everything. Am I missing something or does this not function as it implies (or at least how I wish it would)?

I have a pice of code that select MText in my drawing. It looks that it select the MText in ALL my drawing and I am interested to choose the MText that is in the Model Space only.

I currently have a viewport - it is an a1 rectangle in size, lets call it VP1. I would like to create a smaller viewport inside of this, lets say VP2.
When I draw a circle, and use the tool 'Convert Object To Viewport' everything works great - but now VP2 has all of the objects from VP1 showing through the background too. How can I resolve this?
I have been looking for something in the properties, much like text, which will 'background mask' to the viewport - but I am struggling to find any thing.
I need to make slices out of all the counties in a state. The map has each county in a different color, so it's easy to use the magic wand and select the county outline.
Is there a way to then save that selection as a slice? It would sure beat manually tracing the borders of each county individually.
Seeing this in several tutorials, but I don't know how. Am I missing something? (Google won't tell me either)
View 2 Replies View RelatedWhen selecting an object in 2013, entering the command and trying to select the object without moving the mouse will not select the object on the first pick. You must select the object a second time before the object is selected and highlighted.
Steps to reproduce:
1) Hover over desired object
2) Enter command on keyboard (M, E, CO, etc...
3) Do not move the mouse and attempt to select the object
Nothing is selected or highlighted
4) Attempt to select the object a second time
Object is now selected and highlighted
The same thing occurs if you attempt to create a selection window or crossing window immediately after entering a command without moving the mouse and clicking the first point.
This does not occur in vanilla 2012. I do have Raster Design installed with 2013, so not sure if the issue stems from the add-on or not.
I can use SolidSelection.Item for 3D object's handles and but I can't take 3D object's volumes with SolidSelection.
Then I can put object 's handles(1EE) to a collection. Can I use SolidSelection to keep my 3D volumes values? All sub-structure of my program works with SolidSelection Object.
