I have a drawing with loads of images on it. All I want to do is print the image name so instead of a picture showing it should say "banana.jpg" or whatever the image name is.
I've tried unloading the images and plotting, but nothing happens.
We recently made the switch from R14 to 2000. In the LONG process of trying to figure out plotting in 2000, I ended up having a lot of plotter names to select from when I go to plot. We have 2 HP 450C plotters and 2 printers (HP5000N & HP 1220C) and I only have one pc3 file for each on the server. I want to nknow how to remove some of the plotter names from ACAD and have only the 2 plotters and 2 printers to choose from when you go to plot.
I'm in the process of creating 3D points (as an overlay) on some laser scanned data (using RiScan, it's just 3d dimensional data, with a northing, easting and RL) and unfortunately the only export option is to export to .dxf... Which is fine but when I export, the information has the point ID as the layer name.
I am aiming at getting this data into another program to analyse and it needs the point ID or name to be my annotation, as opposed to the layer.
So what I need is a way of converting the names of each individual points layer, to the point ID.
I have a text file with a list of image tile names with their bottom left hand easting and northing see attached. I have a lisp that asks for the name of the image then should insert the image at its coordinate with a predefined scale and rotation but it isn't working so I would like an alternative method to test.
I have been trying to upload some jpeg pics (saved for web) created in Photoshop 7.0. Every time I try to upload to a particular site, I get the message that there is an error, file name must not contain spaces. Now, I upload to other sites (E-Bay, etc) with no problem. I am using an I-Mac, which may well be the problem, but, then, other people use the same computer and have no problem.
I have tried saving the files using Graphic Converter, but no change.
Can the pictures file name be printed directly on to each image so that a preview book could be printed by Blurb with each photograph numbered.I can do this in slideshow but when I export the files for printing the numbers are gone.Several of my friend in the profession would also like the ability to apply the file names in this way.
I accidentally included a file rename when I just imported a batch of several hundred pictures. I violated a rule that I teach my own Lightroom students, and that is to look carefully at the import panel choices before proceeding.
How can I correct this so that the files are named as they originally were? I know how to easily fix the filenames in Windows (using a tool called BulkRename, for example), but then I'd have to "find" each image one-by-one and correctly point to the renamed version. I tried selecting all the images and then using F2 to rename, but none of the templates allow deleting a portion of the filename.
P.S. Here is an example of what I mean:
ON CARD: IMG_0001.NEF ... IMG_0300.NEF
WHAT I RENAMED TO ACCIDENTALLY:
IMG_0001 {shot by John Doe}.NEF ... IMG_0300 {shot by John Doe}.NEF
Was printing 4x6" from LR 5.3 fine. To an Epson 3880. Then went to Page Settings (MAC) changed paper size to 8.5x11". The preview responded with a larger page. I scaled the image up to 8x10 via lightroom cell size. But when I printed to the Letter size paper, LR printed only a close to 4x6" top left corner. This was not a full image like the 4x6. It was just a corner.
Exported to PS and printed fine. Can not figure why the print will not print the full image?
When I make a print from CS6 the image on paper is narrower than the stated dimension in the program. The height of the image is faithfully reproduced. I know that there must be a preference setting to correct this but I can't remember which one it is.
I am using Revit MEP 2013. I inserted a pdf in model space. My drawing and original pdf file is in the same directory. I can print the image while I am in model space. I went to paper space and used a polygon viewport to make the pdf show in PS (had to use polygon to get rid of unwanted items on pdf). The viewport that has the MS pdf won't print on any of my printers and won't show in print preview. I have checked to make sure all layers are on a print layer and made sure that the image in MS was not on defpoints. I originally dragged and dropped the pdf into MS. I then used xref to attach the drawing. Neither method would print in PS.
I'm creating my own title block and inserting a company logo. I go into edit title block and click insert image. I choose my .bmp file then fit it to my title block and exit sketch and save. Once out of the edit, the image looks fine but when I do a print preview the image is stretched and when I actually print the sheet, there is no image at all.
I work with use autocad 2012, and am trying to create a pdf of a plane containing several aerial photos. I have set ImageFrame to 0. And I use Export to Pdf from output tab. When it creates pdf, images have a gray border or white, so I can see the connection between them.
I have ensured that there is no space between the images. I export from a layout with rotated UCS. The images are Tiff format.
I am trying to print some white text / couple of lines over top of an image in white - so that they do not blend in after the drawing has been printed.
I am using monochrome printing status - and have set the color printing to (use object color), and set the 'screening' value to '0'.
I have ensured that the color 'white' under plot styles is also set to 255,255,255. I have ensured that the printer configuration for 'Merge Control' is set to 'Lines Overwrite'.
Yet its till prints the lines in Black!!!
The only thing I noticed is that when you look at the layer table itself it still shows the plotter to overwrite white with color : 'color_7' which is black correct?
however the option is greyed out so that you cannot elect or change it... And I cannot find anywhere to alter this color overwrite 'plot style' as it is labelled...
Do I just need to change this 'plot style' setting? where can I find this?
Is there any work around that will force AutoCad to spool when trying to print a large .tiff image? I am trying to print an image whose file size is 150mb to a plotter.
It doesn't spool at all, it instantly prints (leaving out the image). The image is on a layer set to print etc.
i am using autocad 2014 when i am try to print the image in big page such as 24 X 24 inches my image will scatter, the curve lines are look like zig zag lines and texts are faded, how to increase the resolution of the image so that i can print it in large paper.my printer is not connected to my computer that's why i have to convert the drawing to jpeg image, and my resolution become very low to print in big size paper.
Data Connect Image Printing problem.I have an Aerial image that I bought in via Data Connect. It's been working well for a while. Suddenly the next time I go to Print, either to the plotter, DWF or PDF, for some reason the entire Image is thrown to the northwest corner of the viewport at a miniscule scale! The image is fine on-screen, until you print or even do a print preview!
I tried disconnecting and reconnecting, did an audit before I reconnected, deleted all my Cache files, but to no avail! This is not the first time this has happened, but the last time it did, disconnecting, doing an audit, and deleting the Cache files before reconnected appeared to solve the problem. But this time (just when we upgraded to Map 3D 2012), it didn't work.
Since switching to 2007 our company logo, a png image, plots with a line down the right side the image. It does not show up in plot preview or when plotting to pdf or dwf. I have set image frame to 0 and 2 with no change.
I need to print this drawing and I cannot get either print to PDF or print to printer working properly.
I was asked to create a local area map of the site and i used a google map image as the map. I have a paper space layout with labels and the company title block, with a raster image reference in the model space viewport, when I go to print this drawing using plot PDF the image comes out so grainy it's useless. When I plot to printer the paper space layout comes out great but only a slice of the raster image is printed.
No indication of problems can be seen in autocad's preview mode, and this doesn't happen outside of Autocad- I can open the image and have it print to PDF clearly, and I can open the image and print to printer without problems.
Here's a link that explains what the printer is doing: [URL] .......
The image is supposed to fill the whole viewport, but most of the viewport is blank.
When I try to plot the file from the layout the middle and right part of my xref'ed image comes out as a black box - the top, bottom and left edge are fine. As are the line-drawings from two other xref on top of the image. The problem accourse both when I try to a physical copy on our plotter and when I try to plot to a pdf.
I'm working in autoCAD 2013 for mac and the files I'm working on are located on a server.
Following instructions from Autodesk as to how to install the Raster driver for image exports I installed "plotters" for JPEG, TIFF, BMP and PNG. None of them work. When I try to one of them, the result is a blank file about 39KB in size.
For some reason I cannot print the whole of an image onto an A4 sheet of paper. I have 2 problems
a) I want the image to be exactly the size of the paper (with no margin). I have removed the margin from the printer dialogue and used the 'print size' command to make the image the right size for an A4 image. The print preview shows there's no margin, but the print still has a small margin.
I am losing about 10 columns of pixels from the left side of the image. Once again the whole image is shown in the preview, but the print has data missing. This still happens when I reduce the size of the image so that there's plenty of room on the paper.
I have someone who wants to make a six foot print of one of my images. Will a 50mb image be large enough? If not, they will need to enlarge on their end (UK). How big will they need to make it.?
Why is my image not centered when I print? I have set everything correctly, but the end result is always an image that is pushed off the page. I thought it was my old printer, but I just got a new one, and it is happening with this one, too.
I cannot print anything from Photoshop CS5. I always get the message: Could not print “image name” because there is not enough memory (RAM).I'm using Mac OS 10.6.8, with 8 GB RAM. I have tried setting memory usage to 100% of RAM (7379 MB for me). The "Ideal Range" is 4058-5313 MB. I cannot print anything, not even a 20 kB file because I always get that error message.
(I don't have a problem printing from any other programs, like Gimp, but I want to print from Photoshop because of they way it allows you to adjust what part of the image you print when you are cropping the image during printing.)
