Paint.NET :: Way To Print File Names
Jul 30, 2012Is there a way to print filenames from Paint.net?
View 7 RepliesIs there a way to print filenames from Paint.net?
View 7 RepliesI accidentally included a file rename when I just imported a batch of several hundred pictures. I violated a rule that I teach my own Lightroom students, and that is to look carefully at the import panel choices before proceeding.
Â
How can I correct this so that the files are named as they originally were? I know how to easily fix the filenames in Windows (using a tool called BulkRename, for example), but then I'd have to "find" each image one-by-one and correctly point to the renamed version. I tried selecting all the images and then using F2 to rename, but none of the templates allow deleting a portion of the filename.
Â
P.S. Here is an example of what I mean:
Â
ON CARD:
IMG_0001.NEF
...
IMG_0300.NEF
Â
WHAT I RENAMED TO ACCIDENTALLY:
IMG_0001 {shot by John Doe}.NEF
...
IMG_0300 {shot by John Doe}.NEF
I have a drawing with loads of images on it. All I want to do is print the image name so instead of a picture showing it should say "banana.jpg" or whatever the image name is.
I've tried unloading the images and plotting, but nothing happens.
I need to prepare a very simple poster (one color for back ground and one for the font, no further editing at all) but it has to be around 50x50inch size which is big. I have never worked with such a large images before hence my question.
Â
When I click 'new' and then set print size to 50x50 and 150ppi resolution the file size is around 250mb. Does it really have to be this big? It seems like my laptop cant handle files this big.
Â
Is there some way around it? Vectors? Inscape?

My laptop is Hp Pavilion g6 Core i3

View 4 Replies View RelatedWe recently made the switch from R14 to 2000. In the LONG process of trying to figure out plotting in 2000, I ended up having a lot of plotter names to select from when I go to plot. We have 2 HP 450C plotters and 2 printers (HP5000N & HP 1220C) and I only have one pc3 file for each on the server. I want to nknow how to remove some of the plotter names from ACAD and have only the 2 plotters and 2 printers to choose from when you go to plot.

I want to be able to check some things off the list and add other fonts to the list.
I tried opening the font list and highlighting to copy it to a clipboard.
I want to create a image file with six passport photos on a 4x6 photo print page. To do that I was asked to do the following:
take a photo yourself, crop it down to a 2x2 square, then copy and paste this into a 2 by 3 tile pattern (4x6 in. canvas size). You now have them print out a 4x6 photo
I don't know how to "tile pattern"
How can I do this in Paint.net

Is it possible in Lightroom to automatically append/prepend directory names in the file path into the file name itself? Example:
Â
DirectoryA Sub-directoryB filename.jpg (original file name)
Â
==>Â
Â
DirectoryA Sub-directoryB DirectoryA_Sub-directoryB_filename.jpg (concatenated new file name)

If this is not natively possible within Lightroom, any plug-in that delivers this functionality?
I have several thousand photos and I need to edit the names with some system that uses my time efficiently. In the past I used windows explorer, which allowed me to modify groups of titles but now I just updated to windows 7 and it does not seem to allow that. Is there some way with Paint Shop Pro to modify the names of groups of photos - extract certain characters or words, add other characters or words, etc?
Or perhaps there is a photo organizing program that provides that kind of tool?
I'm in the process of creating 3D points (as an overlay) on some laser scanned data (using RiScan, it's just 3d dimensional data, with a northing, easting and RL) and unfortunately the only export option is to export to .dxf... Which is fine but when I export, the information has the point ID as the layer name.
I am aiming at getting this data into another program to analyse and it needs the point ID or name to be my annotation, as opposed to the layer.
So what I need is a way of converting the names of each individual points layer, to the point ID.
I can no longer change the name of raw files when saving as JPEG. Software will convert to JPEG but only with the same file name. Previously saved files work fine.
View 1 Replies View Relatedi'm currently working on a new website with a friend, we are using Dropout to share the files, he's the coder, and i design. Im using a pc at the moment, and he's on a Mac, when i save my files, they are saved with capital letters, and to upload it in dreamweaver on a Mac they cant have capital letters. So my question is, is it possible to change the file name to .jpg instead of .JPG? And how do i do it?
View 2 Replies View Relatedwhen I publish to PDF, CAD automatically names the PDF file as the drawing name and then the tab name eg, Radome Lighting Mounts - 22-095 with the Radome Lighting Mounts being the drawing name and 22-095 being the name of the layout tab.
My question is, are you able to reverse this so that the file name of the PDF reads 22-095 - Radome Lighting Mounts?
I would like to add in the right down corner, the file name of the picture.... I did it in the past under Picture Lab but I do not know how to do it under VideoStudio... Is it possible ?

I'm looking for a way of retrieving command names defined in an arx/dbx file, and doing it from an external process (i.e. without loading the file into AutoCAD).Ditto for checking the Acad version the arx was compiled for.
View 9 Replies View RelatedI'm using Photoshop and the Fit Image command to resize my images for a slide show program. The slide show software does not offer the ability to place the image number anywhere on the image. Is there someway to write an action in Photoshop that will grab the image name and place it where I designate on the image? Even stretching the canvas and filling with black and placing the name there would work. I'm not sure if this is possible or if I need to find an Apple Script to do this.
View 7 Replies View RelatedI'm trying to get the filenames of some drawings in a folder. I've got the following code, but it's not working. I get a file count from the line "filecount = objFiles.Count", so it's recognizing "objFiles" as the collection of files in the folder, but everything after that simply does nothing. Oddly, I can change the "If" statement from "<>" to "=", and it still reads the "Then" statement in both cases. However, the FileName is blank.
Dim objFile As FileDialogs
   Set objFile = New FileDialogs
   objFile.Title = strFolderName
   objFile.StartInDir = "C:Documents and Settings"
   strFolderName = objFile.ShowOpen

View 2 Replies View RelatedI have upgraded from LR4 to LR5. LR4 allowed duplictes to be imported - one a jepg the other same file name but raw (CR2). LR5 does not allow me to do this. Am I mistaken or am I over looking something?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have been using Lightroom since V. 1. I have noticed that many of my file names have been renamed in LR (now V5.3) by changing the filename from "XXX_yyyy.NEF" to "XXX_yyyy-2.NEF". IF I look in the folder where the images are stored, both versions of the file are there. I went into LR and deleted the "-2" version and re-imported the original files. In some cases this worked and the LR file now has the original name. In some other cases, LR re-named on import and appended the "-2" to the file name. I checked and it turned out there were other files with the same name on the disk and in the LR catalogue, so I understand why these files were renamed. In other cases, however, there is no other file in LR with the same name. Yet, when I try to delete the "-2" file in LR and re-import the original file (as I did earlier), LR again renames my file by appending the "-2" suffix to the file name. It does not copy the file, it actually renames the file in the folder where it is stored. I cannot understand why the file name is being changed in this case.
Â
why LR is doing this and how can I prevent it?I am running LR under 64-bit Win 7 with 12 GB RAM, the problem seems to have occurred primarily with Nikon D200 RAW (.NEF) files.
How can I batch change all my file names?
View 6 Replies View RelatedFirst off, I don't mind the save as a copy feature. If I have a psd file with layers and smart objects and such, and I Save As > JPG, I don't want the jpg open, I want the psd open. I like how PS does that behavior, but I don't like how that jpg gets " copy" added to it's file name. Yes it's easy to remove, but I'm using a batch action on over 300 pictures, I don't feel like renaming 300 jpg's. Yes it's supposed to be a safety net, but I basically never work from jpg's as original's, and if for some reason I do, I set them as read only and copy the files off to a safe location, so I don't need it.
Â
I know it's possible because my old school's computers with Photoshop CS5 never saved jpg's with copy in the file name. So, how do I stop PS CS5 from adding copy to my file names? Because I need Photoshop to not add copy to my file names on my work computer.
I've exported in all supported vector file formats, and it seem that only SVGsupports object name (and data)... however, I can't use SVG at the moment.
Is there a way to export all objects using a macro?I need in plain ascii: layer and object names, and maybe object data.
I'm looking for a simple format, no transform matrices (as in SVG).
Something like this:
Layername: Layer 1Object type: Rectanglename: rectoutline: 1mmpos: 100.000, 100.000size: 100.000, 100.000rotation: 0.000Object type: Ellipsename: circleoutline: 1mmpos: 100.000, 100.000size: 100.000, 100.000rotation: 0.000Layername: Layer 2Object type: Curvename: Curveoutline: 1mmstart: 100.000, 100.000lineto: 200.000, 200.000bezierto: XY1, XY2, XY3, XY4end
Starting brand new project. Would like to change the name of some shared parameters within my txt file. As far as I know you cant chnage the name once its established witin Revit (unless theres a third party app). Would there be any issue withi this? Utimately I am pushing these parameters into new geometry and I would like them to better conform to a standard for a particular customer. I rennamed JUST the parameter name and it seemed to work ok.Â
View 2 Replies View RelatedI need to export 3dpolylines from C3D 2013 to an ERSI SHP file.
Using the mapexport command I’m able to do this, however, the lines in the shp file don’t retain the layer name and colours that are in the C3D file.
Do I need assign ‘object data’ (or something similar) to the 3D polylines before exporting the shp file.
Can I copy the file names of open dialog box?
