AutoCAD Architecture :: 2011 EXTREMELY Jumpy Cursor?
Mar 23, 2011I have a sluggish jerky cursor (and it’s not the operator) when you are NOT in a command and while you are creating your selection set in the command. The cursor jumps and reappears @ ~1 sec intervals so you have to anticipate your mouse move to do anything. OH...and it's only happens in model space.
I tried several settings I found on the internet but nothing works. It's only doing it in 3 drawings right now. The latest one was working fine until ~10:00 this morning, then it started in...no issues before this.
It really makes AutoCAD 2011 basically unusable as it takes 5X longer to complete each command!

Sep 11, 2011What happened to using the mouse wheel to zoom & unzoom on the cursor? It will zoom and unzoom, but without regard to the cursor location. I want it back?!

However, when I zoom out using the scroll wheel, it automatically zooms out relative to the center of the canvas. Is there a shortcut key or a setting that will allow for when you zoom out to be centered on the location of your mouse, rather than the center of the canvas?

Nov 1, 2013Why did my cursor turn into a zoom tool with a photo sized to Fit; and how can I make it go back to a normal arrow?
It is only happening when the photo is sized to Fit. At other sizes, the cursor is normal.
This just started after I finished using the Adjustment Brush. I had used Cntrl + to zoom a photo while using the Adjustment Brush.
AutoCAD 2010 :: Aperture Jumpy Only Over Objects
Feb 23, 2012My aperture / crosshairs seems to have a magnetic attraction to all objects in drawings. Over an empty area, motion is smooth. When crossing over any object(s), be they in Model Space or a Layout, the cursor is attracted to objects. Is this an AutoCAD setting that I'm not aware of, or is this a graphics card / hardware acceleration issue?

Apr 29, 2009when working at this workstation, the crosshair gets very 'Jumpy' and slow as it gets near or cross over a dimension line. is there possibly a setting that is on or off that is causing this. It has nothing to do with the file. It happens on any file on this computer, but if i switch to a different workstation all is well. And this is a much faster workstation than the other. The issue also happens to a much lesser extent when crossing any drawing object. The cursor (crosshairs) will pause slightly. It is a very long pause when near the dim lines though. it is almost impossible to select or snap to an object or line if it is near a dimension line.

Sep 19, 2012When I am in ISO view and chose anything other than wireframe, like "Realistic" panning and zooming are very slow. Even a smaller drawing does not act normal. I use a 3rd party software for modeling ductwork and piping, the drawings work fine on our other machine, so it's not the modeling software. It's also not the drawing file, I have tried other drawings that I had no past issues with but it still bogs down.
I have tried the following:
Updated video driver.
Tried different settings under "Options" "Display" and "3D Performance"
Ran AutoCad repair.
Checked and turned off all snap settings and grid.

AutoCad :: Ellipse Converted From CAD To CNC Program And Coming Out Jumpy
Apr 10, 2012I am using AutoCAD 2011. I am taking an ellipse from CAD and converting to DXF and then placing the DXF into a CNC program (Partworks). When the program is run on the CNC router the ellipse is segmented. I have worked with the CNC program and know that the problem is in the CAD or DXF programs. If you can change the size of the segments of an ellipse when it is created or if there is something else I can try?

AutoCAD 2010 :: Jumpy / Smeary Crosshairs When Hovering Over Objects?
Feb 6, 2012I am using an ati 6950. (yes i know its not a suggested card) but it runs great other than after 20minutes to an hour worth of use it will freak out when you hover over an object and that object turns to dashed lines. The crosst hair will turn into like 50 diagonal lines and start smearing on the screen. I went in and changed to options from DASH to THICKEN on hover. This has been working for about an hour now.

Jan 8, 2013My keyboard has a zoom key with + and - selections. I use to use this key in drawings to zoom in and out when in the AutoCAD application when we had Windows XP. Now that I have Windows 7 I can't do this. I can't find out how to assign this key on the Microsoft Keyboard interactive software either. I have the other keys assigned as desired.
Can I still use my keyboard zoom key to zoom in and out in drawings? If so, how do I set this up in AutoCAD, or do I need to do this through a Microsoft keyboard application?

Jul 1, 2013I've been using the CC version of AE on my MacBook Pro since the evening it came out and all seemed similar to previous AE versions on my home and work Macs, but I just switched to a high-powered Windows workstation and was surprised to see how indexed (not smooth) the CTI was on RAM-Preview. I couldn't care less about UI animation except that it is pretty distracting when watching animations play back aa there is a vertical red line jumping 15 frames at a time. The playback is smooth and previews aren't set to skip frames.
Why is this behavior so different than the OSX version? Can I fix it?
VideoStudio :: Slow Motion Rendering Is Jumpy?
Jun 19, 2013I have Corel VideoStudio Ultimate X6 and am having problems rendering clips in slow motion.
I have recorded at 50p in full HD. In Video Studio I have slowed the clips down to 25%, and when I do a preview in the editor, it looks fantastic. However when I render to a MP4 file it looks terrible. You can see every frame.
How do I render and get at least the same quality as I get in the preview window?

Jun 5, 2012I just rendered a video slide show that liberally uses pan and scan zooming for every photo and it looks like garbage. It's jumpy and jerky with almost every pan and scan. I used the highest mpeg conversion quality but didn't mess with much else. Is there something I can do to make it not do that? It seems like it gives you the option to use a different mpeg rendering engine if you want...
What a drag. It took me 2 weeks to put this thing together and the final version looks like crap.
VideoStudio :: Choppy / Jerky And Jumpy Video In Edit X5
Jun 24, 2012I’ve been using very happily been using x2 for a number of years to make a lot of movies from my standard definition camera, I’ve loved the programme, and it has generally been able to do everything I wanted, and made for an enjoyable editing process. However, the camera has finally given up and I’m now going down the HD route, and the old x2 version just keeps crashing with any new clips. So I have recently downloaded the trial version of x5 (5 days of trial left), with the intention of trying it out and then purchasing it.
Unfortunately however I have found it to be jerky and jumpy when editing clips together, particularly when using the overlay tracks, the more overlays the worse it gets. This happens when I want to watch the edit, and while the sound runs ok the video just freezes on a frame then jumps ahead a few seconds and freezes etc etc. Impossible to watch and edit to really.
I am using the smart proxy to get the files to a manageable size, and I can see the separate proxy files in explorer. Smart proxy enabled. I have all the acceleration on that can go on (the ”Enable Hardware Encoder Acceleration” is greyed out so I can’t tick it). When I share/render the movie it comes out just fine, so it’s only with the editing process that is jumpy. I have really enjoyed x2, and could get good results really quickly, and I enjoyed the editing interface and process with Corel VS, but am now thinking I might need to change to a different video editing programme.

Edge Animate CC :: Shaky / Jumpy Tween In Content Viewer
Apr 15, 2013when placing a .oam file into indesign then previewing in the content viewer the 'tween' is not so smooth.
Is this a content viewer issue? The animation is simply a 1 second file with content coming in off the stage in a linear movement.
I want to be sure when published to the app store the final result will have a smooth movement.
GIMP :: Flashing Cursor / No Movement Of Cursor
Dec 14, 2012My cursor appears and disappears while in GIMP as I move the cursor over the canvas. I can make the cursor appear but only if there is no movement of the cursor. It makes no difference which tool I select, the size of the canvas, or the level of zoom.
Please note that this only occurs in Gimp, and none of my other applications. It started when I upgraded from openSUSE 12.1 to 12.2. I'm assuming that it has something to do with my input device configuration, but I could be totally wrong.
I have a total of 3 input devices - Core Pointer, Logitech USB-PS/2 Optical Mouse, and Virtual Core XTEST Pointer. Both the Optical Mouse and XTEST Pointer are DISABLED. Core Pointer is the only one enabled. Enabling Optical Mouse and XTEST Pointer give me other problems in Gimp and need to remain disabled.
For the Core Pointer, Mode is set to SCREEN, a message says that 'The axis X has no curve', and the following Axis Settings:

Photoshop :: Zoom: No Anti-alias ( Pixel-exact Zoom)!
Feb 15, 2006I use Photoshop CS2 to create Designs for webpages. These designs have pixel-exact elements, e.g. a 1-pixel-line from top to bottom.
Now when I zoom in (>100, then I have sort of anti-alias, so that the 1-pixel-line isn't only one blue anymore, but it has different blue tones. I guess for photo manipulations etc. this anti-aliasing zoom is great, but for webdesign it sucks because I don't know if only the zoom make the line "corrupt" or if it really is corrupt.
Is there a way to change this zoom?

Photoshop :: Zoom In/Zoom Out In CS
Jan 3, 2004I tried searching the forums for this topic but the search thing didn't seem to work.
A friend of mine installed Photoshop CS for me (an upgrade from 7.0) and for some reason I can't use CTRL + and CTRL - to zoom in and out, I have to use the mouse with the zoom tool which slows me down quite a bit over the course of 20 or so photo edits.
Can anyone shed some light on this? I checked Keyboard shortcuts in the preferences menu and they were correct. I've made no other changes to the program.

If the SDF or SHP file is on it's own I can click the parcel that I'm getting error and it will allow to be selected, but only when I have a joined table is where I'm getting the error.

AutoCAD Map 3D :: Command Line Next To Cursor?
Oct 18, 2012I had a problem this morning where for some reason I needed to do a drawing recovery on a map - which is fine, all seems well.
The problem is that now when I type a command, it doesn't appear next to the cursor anymore. It's not really a NEED having it there, but I've gotten to like that in the newer CAD versions, and now I can't find the setting that makes it come back. Sure I CAN type everything and have it show just at the bottom of the screen, but I'd rather have my dynamic field back.
How I can restore it?
