I found super elevation labeling for profile, but not for alignment in plan view. Is there a way to label alignment, f.x. in critical points of super elevation automatically?
View 2 RepliesIs there a way of adding superelvation data such as full superelevation cross slope to an alignment curve label in plan view?
In my case we add a label for each horizontal curve with critical curve data such as PI Station, Delta, Degree of Curve, etc... but I can't seem to find a way of adding any superelvation information to the plan view as a label. Ideally I would like to be able to add the maximum cross slope value and superelevation critical stations to the label.
There is a way of adding the superelevation critical stations a labels to the alignment similar to how PC's or PT's are labeled, but it does not give the cross slope value.
I have an alignment I need to edit that has a reverse curve. The first curve was made with the "Floating Curve (from entity, radius, through point)" and the second with "Free Curve Fillet (between two entities, radius)"
When I delete one or both curves i lose all the superelevation data beyond the editing location due to the temporary spit in the alignment. The superelevation data is all manual. This is a trail and the super is based on drainage not curves.
how to edit the alignment with a temporary split and not lose the superelevation data? I have not found a way yet to remove the reverse curves and not have a temporary gap.
The superelevation view seems to ignore any station equations applied to an alignment.

I was given a horizontal centerline of a 5 mile bike path. We have to stake all the even stationing every 50 feet and all the VPC's and VPT's with vertical elevation. I have created the horizontal profile and also the vertical profile including all the vertical curve information. Is there an easy way to incorporate the elevation information back into the plan view so I can create points that carry x,y & z points that I can transfer out of autocad as a .txt file so we can upload it on our gps equipment?

View 9 Replies View Relatedi have created a data band in profile view that should show a created profiles elevation, but some of the the data fields are missing irregulary. Also in the data band that shoud show the diferenece betven the tow profiles - EG and the new profile the data is missing. The EG profiles data and the surface are ok all is shown.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI am simply xref'ing a profile drawing into a sheet drawing to print out. AS shown on the attached, when the profile comes into the xref I lose all the band data and the EG line does not come in as a dashed 2 line as the layer is set to. It almost looks as if the PL linetype generation is off for this line.

i made a reference label and it works great. now i am trying to figure out if there is a quick way to locate the pvi station on plan view other than doing something like create a point using sta. and offset as parameters hand typing in the info.

View 5 Replies View RelatedI'm working with plan production sheets and having some trouble. My vertical exaggeration makes me want to split the profile, but when I do it, they get glued together. My left vertical grid numeration stays on the middle of the grid and I get a lot of information overlapped. What I need is to put some gap between these, or split'em. Other issue is that the axis offset of my Profile Style isn't being applied, as well as other configs.

There is structure label on all of the manholes
I can use select similar to mark them and i get "Structure (7)".
I can even see them in the object viewer.

I new to using the view frame groups we do allot of double plan view 11x17 sheets using an alignment on top of MrSid aerial drawings. It is very time consuming to setup the viewports along the alignment doing the old fashion method of copying the page setup and sliding the model space along the alignment for the next sheet. I understand the plan profile and cross section methods of creating multiple sheets and how the viewframe group works for those type of sheets. I'm just not sure how to create a dwt template for one plan view on top of another plan on the same sheet with to viewports. I know I'm not the only person that creates road cl double planviews when your not concerned about a profile.

I put the first floor plan as underlay, and selected the RCP projection but I don't see the dropped ceiling lines to select them with the linework command. i draw up all of my walls, i connect them properly, cleanup etc. then i want to trim them with my roof slabs and what i see? i see my walls suddenly dissappear in 3d view but are still correctly shown on plan view? i know it has something to do with roofline because when i tried to project them automatically to ontu my roof slabs the walls dissappeared too!

I have an alignement to which I have applied superelevation.
The superevation has been applied and the alignment has been annotation and it shows the change from camber to superelevation on the curves.
However when I create a surface of my corridor it does not show the superelevation, the surface is showing a cambered alignment throughout.
I have created a new alignment, a new corridor and surface and still the same.
This is my aplicattion in Civil 3D 2014. URL....It´s a tool palette that checks the design criteria (for alignments,superelevations and profiles) according to Spanish rules.My program changes the name of each superelevation curve,for example:
---> With superelevation tool own of Civil 3D (Cuve.1,Curve.2,Curve.3)
---> With my program: (VisorNET Curva.1,VisorNET Cuva.2,.....)
If I calcule again Superelevations using Superelevation button (Calculate/Edit superelevation)of Civil 3D, Civil 3D doesn´t change the Superelevation Curve Names and appears again (VisorNET Curva.1,VisorNET Curva.2,...).Superelevation CurveName property doesn´t exist in settings:
URL....and there isn't a name template. I would like to have this property (read and write----get and set) of settings.Then, I could re-write the default Superelevation CurveName format. (name template)

However, I have difficulties turning some of those blocks from the Plan View into the Elevation View, even when they show as elevation blocks. Even the downloads that show as 3-D end up being inserted as 2-D in plan view. In floor plan mode, I have no problem; so how do I turn them into 2-D in elevation mode?
