View 9 Replies View RelatedWhenever I open coreldraw the CURVE FLYOUT has the freehand drawing tool as the one that shows. I never use the freehand drawing tool and would much prefer the flyout to default to the polyline tool. But I cannot find a way of making it do that. Of course, if I select the polyline tool it will show as default from then on, but it always reverts to the freehand tool on restarting coreldraw.
View 7 Replies View RelatedI have the Layer Property Manager and Properties toolbars docked on the left edge of my screen, with the Ribbon vertically between them and the drawing display. I sometimes 'overshoot' when going for a command from the ribbon and the toolbars pop-up immediately so that I then have to move the cursor back into the drawing space and wait for the toolbar to collapse before I can pick the command (more carefully). Is there a way of setting a delay on the tool bars appearing?
View 9 Replies View RelatedI created a paletteset with MinimumSize, it works fine when the paletteset is not docked to anywhere. However the MinimumSize doesn't seem to work at all. I tried to dock it to left, then I can drag the edge to really narrow.

View 9 Replies View RelatedI have a drawing that was working fine yesterday but today every Civil 3D command takes several minutes (3 or more). I have two very small surfaces and two cross sections. I deleted 3 grading objects.I've run audit and recover, audit found some errors it fixed but recover didn't find any. I have shut down and rebooted. I just tested a similar drawing and it works fine.
View 7 Replies View Relatedif the command line is docked and you hit F2 to bring up the text screen,
there is no word wrap.
e.g.
type (entget (car (entsel))) pick an object, and then F2 for text screen.
The result is all on one line and you can only view it by scrolling sideways.
The same happens when you list a few lines of Mtext.
If the command line is not docked there is no problem.
I lost the text window that is normally docked on the bottom of the AC screen. I searched and found that F2 brings it up, but I can't find how to have it permanently docked in the bottom left hand corner, where it normally resides. I'm using AutoCad 2002.
View 5 Replies View RelatedOn Civil3D 2007, at least on my machine, the mouse seems to move slowly when it is over the drawing space, but moves at normal speeds when over menu or toolbar items and when in other applications. It's almost as if the "resolution" of the mouse changes as soon as it is over the drawing area in Civil3D. The result is that the mouse/pointer falls behind a little bit when you move it, almost like it does when you use a remote computer over a slow network connection. This makes it difficult to have precise mouse movements.
I should also mention that I don't have this problem in any other applications, including Land Desktop 2006. Some hardware specifics: Dell, P4-HT 3.0GHz, XPpro machine, 2 gig of RAM, RADEON X600 256MB video card, single monitor, Logitech Mx500 mouse, all updates current.
We are working on a civil 3d project that was created by first bringing the data into Caice then exporting to microstation and then creating a .dwg. This file has been extremely slow and crashes all the time. Is there any way to fix the file? If we proecess our survey data in caice, what is the best way to bring the data over to civil 3d?

View 1 Replies View RelatedFor whatever reason, working with MrSids aerials with Civil 3D 2012 & 2013 is really slow these days. Three of us CAD techs have Dell Precision T3500 PC's with 24 GB of RAM with Windows 7. I worked with the same aerials 4 years ago using ust 4 GB of RAM with Windows XP. Is there a better type of aerial technology to work with rather than the MrSid aerials? Should we try to get the County to purchase another type of aerial technology to more easily depict the County so we can more quickly produce aerial roadways with stationed alignments..
View 9 Replies View RelatedI have a surface volume analysis with 2D banding..Regardeless of it is a +- surface and it is not at the right height location, I want to see it in 3D. uffffff, 30 seconds waiting to acad ....
I have a good pc (wirth a superb nvidia) (I have no problems with any other software or 3D actions)
First , I have to wait almost 30 seconds before have the 3D mouse movements avalaible.
Second, every mouse move ( to change the point or view, etc ) means 3 seconds of delay.
The model is little , 400 x 600 meters. (It is an example from mastering c3d) .
Recently (In the past 6 months) I have noticed that Sheet Set Manager is very slow when trying to do anything. It takes at least 45 seconds for a box to appear when right clicking on SSM to publish or change properties. Every user in our office has the same problem. I am not sure if this is a network problem or if it is a problem with C3D ?
View 9 Replies View RelatedI'm using C3D 2013 on a 64 bit windows 7 machine. I have basejump loaded, and when I first installed it there would be a "Raster" tab in the ribbon that would allow me to resample, etc. That tab is now gone. How to get it back?
I used to click on a point to select it and a new tab would show up in the ribbon to list points, edit points, etc. That doesn't come up anymore either.
Using an old version of autocad 2012 in my laptop as backup loaded on Window 7. Everytime I used the snap mode it slow the movement of my cursor to move to specific location, but no problem using the Window XP.

why is it that simple commands in paperspace like editing text/mtext, moving a single line or erasing objects so slow. it seems like it takes way to long to do simple editing. Makes me what to go back to model space sheet set up. I already did the changes to settings that someone posed "NEW Autocad Performance Tips". I notice a small performance enhancement but still very slow compared to paper space. this happened in files with one layout tab or 10.

I have noticed while running both Civil 3D 2011, and AutoCAD 2011, that the software tends to "not respond" pretty frequently. It also seems to lag every once in a while when scrolling. Not sure if maybe there is something else I need to do to optimize my computer to be able to handle the civil 3D software better? I would think the triple core processor and 8 gigs of ram would be enough, but maybe not.
I thought I had a grasp of the CUI routine, but apparently not. I copied the Image panel from the "Insert" Ribbon tab in Task-based Geospatial, and got it where I wanted. The commands are there, but the images are not - just the infamous cloud with "?". I can go back into Task-based Geospatial workspace and the icons are there, but I can't figure out where they are being referenced. Are they embedded here somehow? In the CUI under both the main .cuix list of ribbon panels and those for the partial workspace for TASKBASEDRIBBON, the button images are not linked to anything, just the cloud with "?" It seems that I need to be able to copy the Image panel from the right side window (when Task-based Geospatial is set to current) over to the main .

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have a pipe network that has labels for structures and pipes. To be able to read the information better, I click on a label and try to move by the grip. The problem is that it freezes the cursor for approximately 10 seconds before I can move it to grip the label and relocate it to another place. Did I miss any setting. Since this is slowing me down in plan production.

View 6 Replies View RelatedIn Photoshop CS6 if one wants to use floating document windows (I don't care for tabs) the opened image cannot be moved around the interface. If you drag the image the document window snaps back to where you moved it from plus some amount to the left. Eventually if you keep trying to drag it to a new location it will move all the way to the left side of the screen and will snap back there when you try to move it. I often like to have several images up at once as I do comps and I am very disappointed that such a major interface issue made it through testing un-noticed.
This happens on both my laptop PC and my Desktop. Both Windows 7 64bit pro machines and each have 8G of ram. Desktop has Nvidia graphics and the laptop has Intel graphics. Happens in both 32 and 64 bit versions of windows.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI was experimenting a little bit with the dockers at the right side of the workspace of Corel Draw X5 and now for some reason when I go to "Window" and select a new docker to open, the new docker appears not nested with the rest as it did before, but as new floating window so I have to add it to the rest as a tab manually which is not handy. Up to now each new docker would appear already nested. This is annoying because I really liked the way the dockers appear nested in tabs in X5.
How I can make the dockers appear again tabbed once I open them?
I have a bunch of students who load tool bars and dock their command line, but as soon as they close AutoCAD and reopen, the command line is floating again and the tool bars are missing. Saving and importing a profile does not seem to work!
View 1 Replies View Relatedphotoshop CS2 stoped displaying the red channel correctly on all images. The red channel displays very muted color.
After deleting all preferences of CS2, cleaning out the Windows registry, and upgrading to CS3 the problem still remains.
In CS3 however, the color shift goes away if I drag the image outside of Photoshop's main window.
I have a screenshot of this, http://www.miats.com/tmp/PhotoshopIssue.jpg
Photoshop states that both of the large images are solid R:255 G:0 B:0. However, after print screening the images and pasting them back into Photoshop, it shows that the one on the left is actually R:201 G:88 B:34.
The same thing happens for green and blue as well, though the difference is much less dramatic.
I don't remember changing any settings and my laptop (Win XP, CS2) does not have this problem when loading the same images.
My computer is running VISTA 32bit with 3GB of ram. The graphics card is a NVIDIA 6800.
