Whenever I open coreldraw the CURVE FLYOUT has the freehand drawing tool as the one that shows. I never use the freehand drawing tool and would much prefer the flyout to default to the polyline tool. But I cannot find a way of making it do that. Of course, if I select the polyline tool it will show as default from then on, but it always reverts to the freehand tool on restarting coreldraw.

I've opened a new doc, gone to tools>options>document, set the solid background I want, then check save options as defaults for new documents. But when I then open a new document, the background setting is back to "no background".

View 3 Replies View RelatedIn previous versions of CorelDraw, I could set the default color palette for the fountain fill. But in X6 it doesn't seem to hold. Especially for the second color. It keeps going back to CMYK (even when color management is set to RGB) and when I click on palettes in the fountain fill box, it defaults to Pantone, so that I must click through many options to get back to my palette.

We need to have a customized interface come up when Autocad is opened by students.I have read that you can do this with profiles and workspaces and also with loading a acad.lsp file.
In the past we have just copied the Windows admin profile used to customize AutoCad to the default profile. In AutoCad 2013 that does not seem to grab everything. It doesn't seem to be the best way to do what we need.
We will also be moving to Windows 7 soon which will also cause an issue.I want to find the best way to do this with out having to deal with the Windows profile.
it seems like in the past whenever i made either artistic text or paragraph text color default, that was reflected in the control Text using the Dimension tool.
but no matter what changes i make in X6, it remains a chalky blue.

Would like to have it default to 'Outside contour' mode and have the value changed to a smaller more manageable value.
Experiencing problems with the dimension tool since upgrading to Corel Draw X6 at this end, which hasn't been resolved with the updates.
I work in mm. The system doesn't remember the default settings if I change my preferences for it to measure in mm via the customisation window or the toolbox as it used to in previous versions. When I open the program again or start a new document, the measurement default keeps changing back to ["] (inches). Sometimes, it will jump back to inches after I change the default to mm when I'm working on the same document.
Same problem seems to be happening with the other units of measure available as well.
Current workaround - the only time it seems to remember my settings is if I change the default to mm and then save a document.
I can fwd a video screen capture which shows the problem if that would work.
How can I change the default point size of the numbers that the dimensioning tool generates? Right now it is defaulted at 24 pt. and i have to manually select and change to 10 pt all through my drawings.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI have a situation where the default behavior of my rectangle tool (or any of the other shape tools) is now different. I'm on Mac OS X 10.6.5 running Illustrator CS5. It acts as though the option-shift keys are pressed, so whenever I draw an object, it draws from the center point and the dimensions are constrained, so i can only draw a square or circle, not a rectangle or ellipse. Additionally, whenever I use the selection tool, it clones the object I drag, and also constrains the positioning, so i can only drag in a 0, 45 or 90 degree angle (or multiples thereof). It's as if my option-shift keys are permanently pressed (if I actually press option-shift, the behavior persists). I tried using a different (brand new) keyboard, tried throwing away preferences, and the problem remains. I also tried booting up Illustrator CS4, and the weird problem showed up there! This behavior just started happening spontaneously. I couldn't think of anything weird that happened (a crash, a new plug-in, etc.). I can't find a preference that sets this behavior either.

View 4 Replies View RelatedSince installing Mac OS 10.9 and Photoshop CC, my .psd files do not want to open with Photoshop CC. If I open the "Get Info" window on a .psd file, I can set "Open with” to Adobe Photoshop CC for an individual file, but if I click “Change All” and click “Continue” in the pop-up box, it just goes back to “Adobe CS6.app”, no matter what I do. Even files created in PS CC revert to opening with CS6.

It was set to open just fine in regular Photoshop CS6 but once I installed Photoshop CC I was unable to open my photo's in photoshop unless I opened them in Bridge. I also can't open my InDesign documents unless I open them in Bridge. And I can't open Illustrator at all unless I open it in Bridge itself by adding the Illustrator.exe to my favorites in Bridge and then clicking on it. Is Photoshop CC not able to be the Default for photo's yet, is there a work around that can be done to have my computer register that it's even there to be set as default. Then when I uninstalled Photoshop CC because I WANT my photos to open automatically in Photoshop then when I went to re-install regular Photoshop CS6 it wasn't there to download so I had to reinstall Photoshop CC. View 7 Replies View RelatedElsewhere in the forum I have a topic about sound echo, and a fix was to render a clip using the same project properties it was recorded with, at least regarding audio.
When I load X5, without a project or clip in the timeline - the project preference audio format is LPCM even tho the camcorder I use records dolby audio. I can open and edit the project preferences to change LPCM to dolby, and I can also check settings/enable 5.1 surround sound which does the same thing, but that setting won't survive an X5 program close. One would think that editing the properties like that and selecting OK at the end, the changes would have been saved and become the default. But when I next open X5, the project audio is again set LPCM.
As part of investigating the echo issue I uninstalled and re-installed X5 without any impact on the audio issues, which includes this one.
How can I set the project settings for audio so that the default is dolby and it lasts thru a close and the next X5 open?

View 5 Replies View RelatedI have 2 staff members who both have recently had problems with their custom settings from OPTIONS revert to the default settings every time they close out of AutoCad. One is using AutoCAD 2013 on W7 & the other is using AutoCAD 2014 on W8.1.
They have to reset their display, units, osnaps, etc regularly. I suggested creating a profile they can use until we resolve the problem,
We just switched to AutoCAD 2013 and we are trying to figure out the best way to make a note with a leader. So far it seems the best thing to use is the keynote option called TEXT WITH STRAIGHT LEADER. If we just do text, no leader is automatically added. This seems to work except we cannot set the text to a default of arial.
Once the text is entered, it changes to ArchDim instead of the text we created called 'Arial'.

Was attempting to clean up a photo enlargement last nite utilizing 'Unsharp Mask'...inadvertantly changed the 'Threshold' setting in the dialog window...& failed to notice what this setting was previously engaged at.

I am running XP and cannot set CS4 to be the default file to open my images. When I right click a file, select "open with", and choose CS4, nothing happens. I did not find this problem with CS3 or CS2, both of which I have uninstalled.
View 6 Replies View RelatedWhen I open a document or create one anew the working space window is sized to the exact image of the graphic. Each time then (just for preference) I pull the window out a little larger so that I can see the space outside my graphic.
Is there a way, however, that I can set my defaults though so that each time I open a graphic I reveal a bit of this non-work space? Or if I want to work this way do I have to Open - then drag the window out a little larger each time.
Recently when I open a "New File" it opens up as a slice. How can I correct that. I don't want to work with slices. How can I open a new file in the default setting?
