I want new documents to open with a solid background color by default. I've opened a new doc, gone to tools>options>document, set the solid background I want, then check save options as defaults for new documents. But when I then open a new document, the background setting is back to "no background".
View 8 RepliesI've gone nuttier this time. I just installed Illustrator CS6 onto my MacBook Pro OS 10.8.2. I want to set up a default opening page but this time, it's not a clear path to do so. How do I set up an opening page with a new font, rulers, empty fill etc. as the default page without having to search for a template each time I open a new page? Where does the default page to go now? etc.
View 3 Replies View RelatedWhenever I open coreldraw the CURVE FLYOUT has the freehand drawing tool as the one that shows. I never use the freehand drawing tool and would much prefer the flyout to default to the polyline tool. But I cannot find a way of making it do that. Of course, if I select the polyline tool it will show as default from then on, but it always reverts to the freehand tool on restarting coreldraw.

View 3 Replies View Relatedwhy 25.5 by 33 inches has become the default page size in Draw? It's set at letter but the ruler shows otherwise and the snapping function is totally gone.
This happened yesterday as I was creating a custom document- I wound up uninstalling the whole suite and reinstalling today and within half an hour it happened. (after editing a bitmap from within Draw).
In previous versions of CorelDraw, I could set the default color palette for the fountain fill. But in X6 it doesn't seem to hold. Especially for the second color. It keeps going back to CMYK (even when color management is set to RGB) and when I click on palettes in the fountain fill box, it defaults to Pantone, so that I must click through many options to get back to my palette.

If I enable the welcome screen it asks me what I want to open but if I disable it all I get is a grey area and I have to go to the drop down file menu ans select 'new page'.

When a new page or document is created, by default the zero point is set at the bottom left of the page. Is there a way to set it to another point like top left so that all new documents open with it set that way. (top left)
I have a document with multiple pages. How can I change the background of only one page? In the layout settings I only can set the background for all pages.
View 10 Replies View Relatedrecently installed X5. More often than not - when I open Corel X5 everything has a yellow tint. Doesnt happen all the time. Checkout the image below. X5 over top of an X4 window. Everything on and inc desktop is affected inc pallet which is supposed to be CMYK. White now = beige . When I first opened X5 it came up with some issue about the monitor profile. Weird thing is I will open it 10 mins later and it will behave normal - all back to looking like X4.

We need to have a customized interface come up when Autocad is opened by students.I have read that you can do this with profiles and workspaces and also with loading a acad.lsp file.
In the past we have just copied the Windows admin profile used to customize AutoCad to the default profile. In AutoCad 2013 that does not seem to grab everything. It doesn't seem to be the best way to do what we need.
We will also be moving to Windows 7 soon which will also cause an issue.I want to find the best way to do this with out having to deal with the Windows profile.
I am making a logo design to be printed on a t-shirt. When I make the logo I am making it on an 11” x 8.5” paper size. The logo is not rectangular. When I save the logo as a pdf file, the page background is showing. I also convert the pdf file to a jpg file and the white background shows. I went in and changed the page background to No Background, It did not work. I went to Options>Page size and turned off the Show Page Border, it did not work.

I request that you add the ability to change the ruler scale on a per page basis within a single multi-page document.

View 3 Replies View RelatedIf it's a bug, then I cannot believe it wasn't caught before the release. So here it is. I simply put artistic text down on page 1. Select the text and copy to clipboard. Add a new page and paste the text. On my computer, the text changes from artistic text (as copied to clipboard) to paragraph default text left justified across the center of the page. It doesn't matter how much text I select, it always pastes on the new page as paragraph text left justified and across the center of the page.
However, if I select artistic text and any other object, copy and paste to a new sheet, it works erectly. Apparently, I now have to select text and an object to insure that the paste feature works properly?

i´d like to know if ther is any hotkey on how to move any object or a group of objects from far on the page to the page border.

The circle was centred at x=1000 metres, y=1000 metres, yet it displays right down at the bottom left of my screen. Compare the radius of the circle to the distance from the centre to the origin - it's nothing like 1:4! Look at the coordinates for the cursor!
Zooming in and zooming out has no effect on the huge dimensions indicated by the coordinates.
I know this must be simple because it is not mentioned in any textbook or tutorial I have been able to find. Authors don't seem to think it is important, but it's driving me nuts! The question is this:
How do I set the page size and grid scale to something sane?
I am pretty sure that this scale problem is at the root of many of the other problems I am having. A14 is doing it's job faithfully but the display is so small that I cannot see what is happening !

And every time I save a frame, I have to change the default format to .png (that's my preferred format anyway...) way that I could change the default for saving to PNG? View 4 Replies View RelatedI created a new settings to print some of our drawings, I changed the page orientation from portrait to landscape and saved to a .pmp file (this is the printer settings file), closed the plotter.
I re-opened the plotter, selected the recent .pmp file, went to the orientation part and saw the portrait is in selection instead of landscape selection.
We are using AutoCad 2012 in Win 7 with OS 64-bit.
Is there a way to change the default setting from PNG to JPG.

View 4 Replies View RelatedSince installing Mac OS 10.9 and Photoshop CC, my .psd files do not want to open with Photoshop CC. If I open the "Get Info" window on a .psd file, I can set "Open with” to Adobe Photoshop CC for an individual file, but if I click “Change All” and click “Continue” in the pop-up box, it just goes back to “Adobe CS6.app”, no matter what I do. Even files created in PS CC revert to opening with CS6.

It was set to open just fine in regular Photoshop CS6 but once I installed Photoshop CC I was unable to open my photo's in photoshop unless I opened them in Bridge. I also can't open my InDesign documents unless I open them in Bridge. And I can't open Illustrator at all unless I open it in Bridge itself by adding the Illustrator.exe to my favorites in Bridge and then clicking on it. Is Photoshop CC not able to be the Default for photo's yet, is there a work around that can be done to have my computer register that it's even there to be set as default. Then when I uninstalled Photoshop CC because I WANT my photos to open automatically in Photoshop then when I went to re-install regular Photoshop CS6 it wasn't there to download so I had to reinstall Photoshop CC. Is there a way like I said to have my photos be open and to have my default be set in Photoshop CC?

View 7 Replies View RelatedElsewhere in the forum I have a topic about sound echo, and a fix was to render a clip using the same project properties it was recorded with, at least regarding audio.
When I load X5, without a project or clip in the timeline - the project preference audio format is LPCM even tho the camcorder I use records dolby audio. I can open and edit the project preferences to change LPCM to dolby, and I can also check settings/enable 5.1 surround sound which does the same thing, but that setting won't survive an X5 program close. One would think that editing the properties like that and selecting OK at the end, the changes would have been saved and become the default. But when I next open X5, the project audio is again set LPCM.
As part of investigating the echo issue I uninstalled and re-installed X5 without any impact on the audio issues, which includes this one.
How can I set the project settings for audio so that the default is dolby and it lasts thru a close and the next X5 open?
Where in this program ( 4x) do i check to not use PSP as my default program? I use another editing program and PSP is opening up my 'bridge' pictures? i need to use the programs as individuals..
