When i use the DWGtoPDF feature the letters(that are written in Greek) do not appear correctly at in the pdf. instead i get black dots where each greek word should have written. by the way i use windows 7 with civil 2010 3d
View 9 RepliesI am currently using ACAD Civil 3D 2014. When I am in paper space and try to plot I get a Fatal Error before I even get to the plot menu. This is only happening in 2 specific drawings and I've done a purge, audit and drawing recovery. With 8GB of Ram there should be more then enough to at least plot a 5MB drawing.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have a stationing line. I've used the block PTTICL to make ticks. The ticks display perfectly. I'll run through a plot preview and the ticks show on the plot preview. I push plot go to the printer and the ticks are not plotted.
I've checked the layer. They are on a layer that should print.

I've run through a number of options regarding the alignment label properties and found "display" to be equal to "true."
Everything else plots just fine. Only the station label ticks refuse to plot. My project is fairly short so the work around was to put a poly line right on top of the tick mark.

View 3 Replies View RelatedWe have noticed when using Arial.TTF (Client Required) that when plotting hard copies out, we have discovered that the width of the text line is different than it shows in Autocad. We have done several troubleshooting tests, and are convinced it has something to do with it being a TTF font and different drivers or devices scale the fonts differently. I have scoured the net, but cannot find discussion on this issue.
We have tried:
Plot Style Tables - No effect
Various plotters - Same issue, but different degrees of width change
re-creating drawings - no effect
AutoCAD version - no effect
I have attached a sample file that we have used to test this issue - incase it might have an issue in the file it's self.
To see the biggest difference plot to fit a D+ size using Extents vs Window around the Text only.
Having a problem with AutoCAD 2012. When trying to plot the dwg, suddenly this message come up. Even after install Service Pack 1, it still doesn't solve the problem. Attach is the image for your reference.
I've tried to search for the solution but cannot find any with StackHash_f960.
Every time I try and plot a drawing I get this error message:
' YOU CAN NOT USE MULTIPLE INSTANCES AT THE SAME TIME'. The program then freezes for a short while then returns a message saying plot canceled.
I am using Map 3D 2011. Although I did have a trial version of AutoCad 2012 I had no problems plotting on both versions up until recently I have made no changes to any printer configuration, plot files or styles. I removed 2012 after I started getting this message but still I am unable to plot.
Every time I try to print or preview the following error appears and no error code or log comes after.
I already instaled SP1, changed acad.ctb e use other templates.
I cannot print my layouts to pdf. Every time there is a fatal error.

1. Open any drawing.
2. Select any layout.
3. File > Plot > Select PDF as printer/plotter
4. Click OK
5. Plot job progress bar appears
6. Fatal Error Message
7. Total crash, AutoCAD closes

It is with every drawing, different drawings, every time. It started suddenly.
I am using LT 2013. I used to have 2008. I got similar errors using 2008. I uninstalled it (after trying repair reinstall, which failed to correct the problem) and reinstalled windows, and upgraded to 2013. The problem was gone for a time and has just now restarted.
OK, since installing autocad 2012, and installing the office profile, which directs to a folder on our server to our plot style folder. Fairly typical medium office setup where settings come from an AutoCAD Settings folder, from support, fonts CUI etc etc.
There is the plot style wizard shortcut in this folder. In past releases this has been ignored, however now every time you open a new drawing we receive the error prompt, "The following shortcuts in the search were invalid and ignored" and then indicates the file path location. What's the deal?!
Now while i shouldn't have to, yes i have simply attempted to delete the shortcut in question but it showed up again.
I have one drawing per file at model tab. When I need to plot a multiple page file, I use:
Print > Batch Plot.
The problem is that I have to set plot configurations ( plot style table, plot area, paper size, etc) in each file before use Batch Plot.
Now I received 722 files with a wrong Plot Style Table. For this time I change the associated *.ctb file at Plot Style folder, but I will need to associate the right *.ctb to each drawing. It's also common to have to change other properties.
How does one convert an stb file to ctb. I have tried using the CONVERTPSTYLES command to no avail. After selecting the stb for conversion, i am getting an error message stating that the stb does not contain a color mapping table and cannot be used to convert drawings.

My office currently has a unique keynote database for each project. When I open a file with a sheet keynote legend, AutoCAD 2010 opens up the correct database and everything is fine. This is also true when I try to plot a sheet file. However, when I plot through the batch-plot process, AutoCAD does not open the correct database.

I have over 1000 ttf and ps fonts and occasionally disable some of them; to keep that piece of Windows XP stuff working corectly. Must have disabled the font. Don't really want to enable all the fonts. The system would crash.

It pops up right before the program opens before I begin working. However, my fonts work fine within the program. if I may be missing fonts or if there is some other kind of technique that I have yet learned due to this error. View 2 Replies View RelatedI am doing a little trial and error on possibly converting a drawing from .ctb to .stb. When we start a new drawing, it will be started using named plot styles so it shouldn't be an issue. But there are times when we receive a drawing from someone else and need to convert it.
The first thing I did was convert ctb to create a conversion .stb. Then I used convert pstyles to convert the drawing to named plot styles. For the plot style table I chose the conversion .stb I just created because it needs a color mapping table.
But I don't want to use the converted .stb table, I want to use my company plot style. So when I am in layer properties manager, Plot Style is still grayed out and I can't change it.
When I type in pstylemode, the default is 0 (read only). How do I change it so it's not read only and I can use my own plot style table?
I have a set of sheets that have an surface (contours) on them.
When I plot them individually the surface plots fine. When I publish them using the same page setup, the surface will not plot. The contour labels do plot, just not the actual surface contours.
The surface is data shortcuted from another file.
I am trying to plot all my cross sections in a drawing, but I whant them in a vertical line. It seems that I can only plot in a horizontal line on sheets.

I am trying to plot a map at on 24 x 36 paper and keep it to scale. It appears I have all of the correct settings including 1"=1', fit to paper is unchecked, etc. My print preview comes across correctly but when I go to plot a message appears in the command line stating

Effective plotting area: 13.63 wide by 6.22 high
Plotting viewport 2.
Effective plotting area: 13.77 wide by 6.25 high

Plotting viewport 1.
The plot then comes out on paper way larger then 24x36 and the area plotted is limited to the 13.77 x 6.25. My co-worker opened the drawing and printed it to scale on 24x36 no problem. What gives? I cannot find a setting to get it to plot correctly.
I am having problems when trying to paste text from Microsoft word. the pasted text becomes unreadable / corrupted. Well here is my situation, I have a large number of text that I'm trying to insert into Corel Draw X4.
and if I convert the word document to PDF, I receive the same thing. I tried importing the text as image, worked but can't edit the text nor the text is in good quality (quality is very poor, cannot be used for plot)
I am using Microsoft Vista x64 / Arabic enabled (can type just about everything in MS Word/Excel etc...)
By the way, I can type the text in corel, and it works great, but I have some 200 pages, so you get the idea! it's hard work for me to type all the 200 pages :
I get "Fatal Error: Unhandled c000000dh Exception at 24079af3h" every time when I print to pdf with Acrobat 9 in AutoCAD 2012. However, the Acrobat converter is working properly in other applications. It only happens in ACad 2012.
