I'm getting the following error:
ERROR 517 : Error in reading TR-20 project data.
but when I compare my raingage input to the one in samples it appers to be correct. Is there someplace else I need to be checking?
When I try and render my 23 minute project to WMV HD 720p it gets to 6% and says file reading error.

Having a problem with AutoCAD Civil 3D 2012 which keeps crashing with a fatal error on a Win7 Pro (64) machine. Was able to get the user to make a screenshot on the most recent occasion, and the error was as follows:

Having looked through your forums I see that this may be related to the video card, which is a Nvida Quadro 5000. I've already updated the driver to the Quadro Performance Driver, v320.78, but the problem continues.
Is there a different partner certified driver that I should be using (can't seem to find any for Civil 3D) , or is the issue related to something else?
I'm recieving this error when I go to paper space and attempt to set my profile view. I am working for a consultant using a required template from the city and when I open just the main template I recieved a message about 10 errors, do I want to recover, so I do and it finds no errors but I continually get the message. I'm thinking that fatal error message has something to do with the 10 errors. what those fatal error codes are in the subject line?

I was working on a drawing Friday afternnon and the error popped up and crashed Civil 3d. I could open Civil 3d, but when I tried to open the drawing in question, the error would occur and crash Civil 3d. I started a new drawing and inserted the old drawing as a block. That had been working all morning, but all of a sudden the same error started to occur again. What is the error?

View 9 Replies View RelatedI have created a new data shortcut project folder, i have the data shortcut set to the drive & the correct project, yet i cannot associate the drawing to the project. Even when I do attempt to set it to the correct project, it will not register. I have tried the "associate current dwg to project", as well as the "associate multiple dwgs to project", yet it will not recognize it at the top of the screen.

We have just switched from 2010 to 2013, and are experiencing some problems on two different projects. The issue is that we have our pipe networks located within on drawing, then data shortcuted to our production drawings. However, the pipes are not drawing either in plan or profile to the correct size.
They read correct in the pipe size, the style is set to display the correct "parts" of the pipes, but they are incorrect. It is not consistent within regards to a single pipe size being incorrect, nor is it the same sizes between the two projects.
2012 SP2. I get this very descriptive message while trying to create a point cloud: The following error occurred processing the point cloud data: An error ocurred in data processing.
I've previously created point clouds from the same data (ENZ comma delimited) without a problem. I believe this was done before applying SP2. Any problems creating point clouds since SP2?
We use Survey Data Collection Link to convert our file formats, in this case it is a GPS job exported from a TSC2 using Trimble Survey Controller Version 12.46. I exported the job from the data collector as a .csv file then use SDCL to convert the .csv into a .fbk file. I am getting this error saying the file is invalid or in use. We ran into this problem a couple months ago and it disappeared after a couple days, and now it has resurfaced.
Running Autocad Civil 3d 2012 with Service Pack 2, Windows 7 64-bit OS.
I have a major error currently affecting my work that I need to resolve ASAP. I'm using C3D 2012 64 bit with Windows 7. I have multiple model drawings that I have created pipe networks and view frame groups in, and using those model drawings I have created plan and profile sheets from the view frames. I created data shortcuts of all my pipe networks and referenced the pipe networks into my sheet drawings. In the sheet drawings I drew the network parts into the profiles, and everything displayed exactly as it was supposed to. No issues at all.
Now fast forward about a month. Out of the blue one day I open one of my sheet drawings to perform some edits and notice that the pipes that were previously displayed in the profile views showing inside and outside walls with the centerline turned off now show up as a simple line. I haven't changed any settings at all. I looked at the properties of the pipes, and they seem to have all ignored their asigned diameters- the pipe data in the referenced network now assumes all inverts & crowns are the same elevation as the centerline.
Long story short, I have gone so far as to completely reinstall the program and restart the drawings, but the more I edit the oringal network the worse the problem gets. Now all of my structures are attaching themselves to the surface profile instead of the pipes, and the entire network gets put onto my current layer rather than the layers I assign in the Create Pipe Network Reference dialog box.
It happens to any drawing I try to open on this network- even ones created by third parties that I haven't edited. And the problem resides in the drawing because anyone I send the drawings to has the same problem. It will even crash the entire program sometimes when they try to open my drawings.

Occasionally I get the following message when trying to add data shortcuts.
"The drawing has not been saved yet, please save the drawing before creating data shortcuts" Only I have saved, this still occurs after either a full or quick save.
Shutdown Civil and reopen still gives the same message..The problem seems to be when you are saving to any other version of Autocad than R2010. Save as R2010 and it works.Mike Evans

I am creating the surface as a grid surface. Itcreates the data shortcut. However when data shortcutting into a new file. Boom! (see above)

I am currently experiencing this error when basically putting an Inventor 2012 file (part or assembly) on a flash drive and then loading the file(s) onto a different computer with Inventor 2011 installed. Once in Inventor 2011 and trying to open the necessary file(s) I receive this error. Is there some difference between the 2011 and 2012 files that is causing this to happen? Or the face that I am using the student version of both?

When I went to install Inventor, I kept getting Errors 1335, 1334, then error 1406 during installation. I seemed to have gotten beyond those, but when I went to open certain assemblies I started getting "Error in reading RSe Stream (4 not equal 2)" and "Error in reading meta types in RSe Segment AmDcSegment in..." and them it shows a certain file it doesn't like, sometimes repeating for multiple files. I clicked on the communication icon in the lower right of my Inventor screen and it said a maintenance update was available. I installed SP1 and tried again. Same problem. I clicked on the icon again, and it told me SP2 was available. I installed it and tried again. Same problem. I clicked on the icon again, and it told me SP3 was available. I installed it and tried again. Same problem. I clicked on the icon again, and it told me SP4 was available. I installed it and tried again. Now I can't open Inventor at all. Inventor crashes just on trying to open up. I've been running Inventor 11 since it came out with no issues whatesoever. Now I'm two weeks behind with no end in sight.

The part appears in my tree in the frame assembly and it not showing up in my model, I can't delete it to brake the link.

something on the internet said that this may be due to saving in a newer version on inventor, but i am using the latest version, and have been for the past few months. it is especially confusing as on of my drawings is only affected on one page, not the entire drawing. i have also had bad assemblies, but when the bad assembly is a sub assembly inside a bigger assembly its all fine!

It was working fine till yesterday. but now when i am trying to open it a pop up comes showing error reading file. I am using x4 in a 32 bit windows 7 with 4 gb ram.I have tried opening in laptop with 64bit windows 7 4 gb ram, it opened till 80% adn then a different error came which said - invalid object. I need to retrieve the artwork, i have worked on it for more than 3 weeks. The back up file also shows the same.
View 7 Replies View Relatedi was trying to move some files via LR.I've researched and found that everyone else was able to fix their issue by moving the preview database out of LR, tried that but it doesn't fix the problem.I've moved all files except the new preview and catalog (only a single catalog) database from the Picture/ Lightroom folder.I've rebooted the computer several times and tried opening LR, still no joy.The size of my catalog is 3.8GBThe size of the preview is 6.5GB (77,186 files in 45,745 folders).This is a new install from scratch on a new PC,
Specs are:
Intel i7 4770
32GB memory
2 x 250GB SSD drive in RAID 1 for OS and apps
1 x 6TB SATA HDD for images in a RAID 5
1 x 5.3TB SATA HDD for final images in a RAID 5
I've had nothing but issues with this system since day 1, images transferred and they do not show up correcting inthe individual folders (especially 2012). Total image count is about 320,000
Seems to me that LR cannot handle the numbers although LR3.6 was a lot stable this version is shakey all over the place.
I've browsed a few previous forum questions and answers and it appears I might need to find my catalog and delete my preview cache file(s). However, I cannot find where these files are stored. A few of the forum responses said to go into Lightroom edit/preferences to find where these files are stored, but I cannot get into Lightroom. When I open it, it gives me the error message and I can't seem to get into edit to find where these files are stored.
Also, I'm relatively new to Lightroom (been using it for a little over a month, mostly just editing and not much for cataloging and organizing my photos)
When I try to open LR4 I get the message that LR has encountered an error reading the preview cache. I can't find the preview.irdata files to delete or clear.
