AutoCAD Civil 3D :: Error 134 - Direct Outlet Link
Sep 16, 2013
I have an SSA model that has multiple on-grade inlets along a city street. Each on-grade inlet has a roadway/gutter bypass link defined (the link is defined as 'direct' in the conveyance link properties) and where applicable an upstream roadway link. Therefore most inlets have a direct link coming in and a direct link leaving to represent the gutter bypass flows. The model will successfully run under kinematic wave routing method. When changed to hydrodynamic, I get Error 134 stating:
ERROR 134 : Node CB-13 has more than one DIRECT outlet link or DESIGN pump.
I know that it is fairly self explanatory error except the error does not appear for every inlet that I have defined direct links for. Some inlets that have one incoming direct link and one outgoing direct link are not listed in the error listing, while some do. In review of the model, I do not appear to have multiple direct outlet links (I also don't recall drawing more than one per structure in my model). Based on my review of SSA documents, it seemed like modeling bypass flows using direct links as opposed to open channel flow was the most common practice. That said, if I change the outgoing direct link to open channel, that inlet is removed from the error list.
On grade Inlet Inlet-01 does not have two outlet links. At least one stormwater sewer pipe and a bypass gutter link must be defined. How do I add another link?
I would like to know if it is possible to display the pipe inlet/outlet elevation in my structure label. It seems like it is not possible. It is possible to use the inlet/outlet elevation of the pipe in my pipe label however I would like to display it in my structure.
There is a new command in Premiere Pro: direct link to speedgrade. What change is meant by the choice of new wording, from "send to" to "direct link"? Is there a dynamic link now between Premiere and Speedgrade? I haven't seen anything to that effect in "What's new."
After applying a simple Primary grade in Direct linked SG project, saving and sending back to PPro causes PPro to crash and render the following error:
Then I get a "serious error" dialog and it shuts down.
Re opening the PPro project causes crash after the splash screen.
Opening any other PPro project, direct linking to SG, grading, and returning it to PPro causes this behavior.
This first happened after adding a mask. All transport controls froze, although I could still grade the frame I was stuck on. I saved and sent it back to PPro, and that was the first time PPro crashed. That project is now corrupted and crashes after the splash screen.
Now any direct link to SG causes a crash on return to PPro, and permanently corrupts the project.
We use Survey Data Collection Link to convert our file formats, in this case it is a GPS job exported from a TSC2 using Trimble Survey Controller Version 12.46. I exported the job from the data collector as a .csv file then use SDCL to convert the .csv into a .fbk file. I am getting this error saying the file is invalid or in use. We ran into this problem a couple months ago and it disappeared after a couple days, and now it has resurfaced.
Running Autocad Civil 3d 2012 with Service Pack 2, Windows 7 64-bit OS.
This error message appears when I have the Direct Selection tool selected, but have not selected an object. Every time I press Enter I get the alert: "Could not complete your request because of a program error." It doesn't matter what file I have open.
I'm running Mac OS X 10.7.5, 2.2 GHz, 16 GB memory. This is just one of several weird bugs I've encountered in CC.
so I am working on tis project in China and rainfall stats and soils are not available, instead i get a measurement of 50 year peak flow at various river sections. in order to model this in SSA I put in juctions with direct inflows at each measured section. is there anyway I can apply an SCS typeII curve to these userdefined inflows to generate volumes for sizing of detention ponds and check dams?
why am i not allowed to have multiple direct links for a node (junction/outfall)? i have a situation where i want to add the flows to two junctions, one for each side of the property, then add the two junctions to an outfall (overall site). i do not want to model the pipes, just want to add hydro graphs.
my each junction has two direct links coming from two other upstream junctions, and then this junction flows out by a direct link to the overall site outfall (the set of junctions from the other site does the same). i cannot run the model because of the error:
ERROR 134 : Node TOTAL-EAST has more than one DIRECT outlet link or DESIGN pump. ERROR 134 : Node TOTAL-WEST has more than one DIRECT outlet link or DESIGN pump.
I am currently using IV 2012 Pro and have run into some issues. When the company first started to use this program, they left me in charge to create our Title Block and Border templates. For our logo, I used a bmp file and placed that in out TB template. Recently I have replaced the bmp image of our logo to an ACAD block. My problem is when I open our template, I still get the unresolved link error prompting me to find the bmp image of our logo. Even though I have removed it from the template.
I have created parts made up of a smaller parts themselves, them multiple assemblies of different parts that are all used in a final asembly. Now I need to give this whole assembly to someone. I tried sending all the files together with the assembly. However, when the receiver tried to open the assembly, most of the file references could not be resolved and inventor asked for the path of each, which would take too long to do. Is there any way around this?
I recently switched to a new machine and manually copied and pasted my custom settings over and set paths to the new location. Everything seems to work fine except when I click on "Plot Stamp Settings".I receive an error that says "Data Link Files" and sometimes it says "LISP".
when selecting a simple clip on Premiere CC timeline and selecting 'Replace with After Effects composition', from Adobe Dynamic Link, AE CC launches, creates a new (empty) comp but does not import the footage clip into the project
When loading a music file into CS6 I get an error message "Could not complete your request because Dynamic-Link is not available" I have just load this program and want to do some video work?
I have a corridor with conditional assembly for all 200 sections. One conditions which stretches 200 feet I can not get the daylight link to show in the sections.
in my link "link slope to surface", i have the slope set to -2.00%. in the cross sections, it is at a +2.00%. why is this thing not linking at the defined -2%? see image.
i have just spent 8 hours today trying to find a link that will vary target a poly line that i have set. i cant seem to find the link that will do what i need as per the attachemnt. the section between the edge of the foot path and the start of the fill/cut slope needs to be variable
i know how to set all the targets but this link seems to be a fixed length.
When I use link offset to surface and attach on left side, still extend to right. I am targeting a slope stake line polyline that exists on both sides of the roadway, works fine on right side. Documentation indicates that a negative offset value is needed to use to the left. How do I use negative value and target a polyline?
I am using the map connect command to import a geotiff file to NAD83 coordinates. After import, the image displays correctly at the correct location, however my xref manager indicates that the image file location is in my local app folder within the C drive on my computer even though I specified the target base file on our network server. I also noticed the map connect function converts the files to a png file.
Because the image link resides on my computer others cannot view the image when they open the drawing. I don't fully understand how the map connect function works, do I need to use the map insert command if I want the image to be hard linked into the drawing?
I've attached a screenshot of the error I get when I try to run slope stake reports. I have 8 lanes of road and 2 out of 8 have no issues at all. The error shown does NOT appear and all the link codes become available for the slopestake report. I have attached this image as well. I have nothing to go on at this point. The design is finished, i'm in a bind, and good old Civil 3D descides to stick it to "the man".
how to remove this link from my template. I don't see the table in MS or PS. When I right-click on the link I get the message: "The data link is being used and cannot be deleted."
I haven't had to use a generic link slope in a while, but I'm baffled as to why this isn't working for me. Below is my assembly which looks looks fine, but the corridor is doing the opposite of what it should be doing.
And here is what the corridor is doing.
My grass strip link is going in the opposite direction and it's much longer than 7 feet. Am I missing something or is this another bug?

I am using Premiere Pro CC, up to date, on Windows 7 Pro 64 bit. After week's vacation opened large project to find all clips offline. When I linked, they located fine but OK produce "the importer reported a generic error". I know the clips are on their hard drives and have not changed position. I am not sure of next step. I have always been able to link before though have not used "locate" dialogue box. Checking other projects reveals consistent problem with importer.
We recently tried to convert a RAW data file to FBK and the program aborted after running several setups. I have viewed the raw data on the data collector, but there appears to be no error. What other methods of conversion could I use to convert the RAW data file to a TXT file? I was hoping that our local AutoCad/Topcon dealer would be able to have a work-around, but they seemed stumped too. We have never encountered a problem usitlizing the Survey data Collection Link with any of our traverses prior to this time.
When I try to reference an object in the Data Shortcuts menu, when I right-click the a profile in Prospector under Data Shortcuts, the option to "Create Reference..." is grayed out, and I am unable to reference that profile into the drawing I am working on. It works fine on other profiles that are being referenced from the same drawing.
I have tried:
1. Re-creating the alignment and profile data shortcut in the drawing being referenced 2. Creating a reference in my drawing to the alignment, which actually works. However, it still does not allow me to "create reference" for the profile. 3. Refreshing the data shortcuts. 4. Synchronizing the alignment referenced in the drawing.
Nothing seems to work. My only other option is to move the C3D profiles from the referenced drawing to the drawing I am working in. Is there a way to do this?
I have installed Trimble Link for Civil3D 2010 and the menu will not appear in Civil3D anywhere.I re-installed it 2 times, which sucessfully completes, but to no avail.I checked cui and it's not there to add either.
I am re-routing a small stream. I am using generic links for the bed and side slope. I whant the side slope to be 3:1 and project beyond the existing culvert wall in the eg model. can this be done easily?
