AutoCAD Architecture :: All Hatches Only Show As Solid Not Due To Zoom / Scale
Jan 31, 2013I'm working in a dwg and any hatch pattern displays solid. I've changed the scale to various sizes, and tried multiple different hatches, but they all show solid. This is the first time I'm working in metric scale, but if this is the issue, my measurement system variable is set to 1 and my units are set to metric.

Mar 5, 2012One of the computers at my office keeps randomly freezing, i.e. Windows freezes, not just Inventor, when working on a simple frame generator assembly. The freezing seems to be completely random, it can happen 2 minutes after opening the assembly or it can happen after 2 hours.
This only happens on this one computer with this one assembly.
The computer in question is a new Dell Precision M4600 (like a week old) running Autodesk Factory Design Suite Premium 64 bit (including Autodesk Inventor standard edition). Installing Service Pack 1 had no effect on the problem.

Oct 5, 2011I have some blocks (different exit signs) in a drawing. I want to make a table or excel sheet that sums up the number of equal blocks in the drawing. How can i make this?
I want to connect this tabel to excel 2010.

AutoCAD 2013 :: Printing PDF - Titleblock And Some Hatches Don't Show Up
Jan 10, 2013Whenever I plot this perticular dwg to a pdf, the pdf comes out perfectly fine. But when I go to print the pdf... the titleblock and some hatches don't show up. All the hatches are on the same layer and the titleblock is xrefed in the same as all the other sheets in the set, which all are fine as well.

Jan 2, 2014I have an issue where any hatch that I place on a tool palette comes in on the wrong layer. They all come in on the a-hatch-window layer despite the properties of the tool being set to the correct layer and the correct layer being present and being the current layer in the drawing.

Sep 6, 2012I cannot find the Standard Scale list anywhere in my 2010 version of AutoCAD. Only the Annotative Scale list is visible and usable. Note: it's not that certain scale values are missing, it's that the entire Standard Scale function is no where to be found!
I need to be able to change the scale of a viewport, but the Standard Scale list is not included as an option in the Properties Dialog box, nor is it in any of the other suggested places where it should be. I've used the Standard Scale list many times before in previous versions of CAD and from everything I can tell 2010 should have it.
3ds Max :: Deleting Xref Entry Completely In Order To Get Acceptable Interactive Frame Rate
Jan 20, 2013What is the point of Xrefs in 3ds Max if disabling the Xref does nothing to improve performance? Apparently everything in the disabled Xref is still calculated, because my viewport performance is crap. So I am reduced to deleting the Xref entry completely in order to get an acceptable interactive frame rate. This defeats the purpose of Xrefs. I might as well just Merge objects in and delete them when they're not needed.
This is 2013, I thought this sort of thing would have been dealt with properly by now. If the Xref is disabled, that means I don't want it to use ANY CPU time or ANY memory. As it stands, the value of Xrefs in 3ds Max is dubious at best.
Lightroom :: Random Sort Order For Pictures
Nov 28, 2007I am missing a feature to sort pictures randomly in Lightroom. Often, when I compile photos from different times/locations etc I would like to show them in a slideshow randomly. Today I don't find this sorting option in LR.

Apr 8, 2014When I import images as a sequence in AE CC (v.12.2.1.5), I select an image, then check the 'JPEG Sequence'. Sometimes I have folders that contain missing files, in that I case I also check 'Force Alphabetical Order'.
However, it seems that this is not working correctly now. Some part of the sequence is correct, but there are also some images that appear at random places in the sequence. Is this a bug? What should I do to avoid this?

Apr 6, 2012Just recently, my pictures located in folders have been coming up in random (not numerical) order when I try to open a file in Photoshop. Instead of bring listed in alpha/numeric order, the files are all mixed up.
If I click on the View Menu box that appears when I open a folder, and go to Details, I can get the images back in correct numerical sequence by clicking on the bar above the file name. However, when I try to open the next file, it has reverted back to a random sequence.

AutoCAD Print / Plot :: 2012 PC3 List Order
Mar 28, 2012I have all of our .pc3 files on a server, and have created them in the order I would like to see them, however they come in a random order. I have moved them out of the folder, and back in the order I want with no luck. I tried renaming them with numbers in front, and then with letters in front to try and populate the list in a certain order. I only have 16 .pc3 files and MAXSORT is default at 6000.
We are using page setups as well which are not a problem, but the occasional time we need to print to a specific .pc3 file gets annoying having to sort through the list to find the one we want.

Aug 17, 2008I've always opened files using File>open. I use the list view so that all filenames appear in alpha/numeric order regardless of the file extension(.psd, .jpg, ect). Sometime within the past week this has stopped working. The list now is ordered by the extension type - all .nef, all .psd, all .jpg, ect. Does anyone know how to get the original alpha/numeric order back? I can do it temporarily by choosing details, click on the filename column and then choosing list but this only works once. The next time I use File>open, it's back to ordered by extension type.

Jan 4, 2013When I first started, I noticed that EVERY time I started Acad (Civil 3d 2012 or Arch 2012), the MRU list showed nothing but DST files. If I opened a dwg, it would get added to the top of the MRU list. But then the next time I loaded acad, there would once again be no dwg files--just dst files.
I thought that maybe the profile where the MRU list is stored was being overwritten by a backup (maybe the mgmt here wanted to ensure the profile remained "standard"). But then I noticed that when I open a dst file that was not on the MRU list, it gets added to the MRU list and STAYS THERE when I close the Acad session and is still there the next time I start Acad.
Now the difference between my issue and the other thread (at least as far as I can tell), is that I think they're saying that as dst files are opened, the dwg file(s) get pushed out of the list. But most of the dst files I'm seeing in the list are there from before I started.
