Jun 15, 2013I have a building plan that needs to be in 1:100. When put my drawing into the new layout its there. Then when I change the scale, my drawing disappears.

AutoCad 3D :: Zooming In To Drawing Makes Objects Disappear?
Aug 14, 2012I try to zoom into an object with my mouse and it disppears. I zoom out and it reappears but it's too far away, I zoom in again and it disappears. Why is it doing this? I click zoom object and that works but I don't want to do that every single time and even that isn't zoomed in enough.

When I select content using the crop tool then hit enter (or the green checkmark) the picture just disappears. This happened all of a sudden a few days ago. I can do COMMAND Z to undo and the picture reappears. But every time I crop the picture disappears and the layer thumbnail just turns brown.

Nov 3, 2012I just put in a new Radeon 5770 card (PCI slot 1) into my Mac Pro 2008 Quad Core which is running Photoshop CS3. Now, the cursor (on all tools) disappears when mousing over any open PDS document. In Indesign, the cursor for all tools shows and works - as well as other pragrams.

I have a Revit 8.1 project that renderes the model just fine. When I import it into Revit 2010 it also remders the model but I have to reassign the custom finishes. But when I upgrade it to 2012 and render - the walls and floors are suddenly missing!

Illustrator :: 17.1 - Live Corners Disappear After Scaling Shape
Feb 15, 2014The Live Corners feature is welcome in Illustrator 17.1, but I find that it works inconsistently. One issue that I've isolated is that scaling a path makes the live corners disappear.
To reproduce:
Create a rounded rectangle
Select the path
Click the direct selection tool to verify that Live Corners are present
Click the selection tool
Scale the rounded rectangle (say drag up from the scale point in the middle of the bottom side)
Click the direct selection tool - where are the live corners?
Is that a bug? Is that a design choice?
Illustrator :: High Raster Effect Resolution In Large Document Makes Effect Disappear
Feb 18, 2013I'm making some graphics to be printed on a car. I have some lines with outer glow on them, but Illustrator won't render these unless I use 72DPI in raster effects reslution. I would like to go higher, but it won't give me anything. Guessing it's to heavy for Illustrator maybe? Is there anything I can do about this? I'm making my graphics in 1:1 scale, but I do it in a lower scale since it's just vector art anyway, however how would that effect my glow? Since it's a raster effect.

Apr 3, 2011What i have is a low polymodel that's quite small in scale, i'm modelling around a higher poly model, when i zoom in, the viewport clipping kicks in and parts of the model disappear, so i cant work on the small details. What i need to do is scale up both my low poly and high poly, work on the small details and scale it back down.
In maya there are multiple solutions to this; The first and most obvious would be to increase the near clip in the camera attributes.
The second would be to freeze transformations on the low and high poly, scale up the model, work on it and then scale it back to the value of 1.
The third would be to put both the low and high poly models into a group, scale up the group, work on the model, return the group back to its default size and ungrouping. Personally i would use this method to preserve the original scale values on the low and high poly models.
Is there a way of doing any of the above in 3ds max?

Aug 15, 2012Just yesterday one of my computers has had it's ctrl+S command making a file read-only. Using the save icon and typing "qsave" work fine. I tried looking at the save options and everything looks ok as well as looking at the shortcut keys in the cui. Everythign looks like all the others that don't have this problem. Is there something I'm missing or has something become corrupted?

Oct 25, 2011I though maybe this was a 2010 issue, but here I am in a brand new 2012 setup and experiencing the same problem. For some reason, my toolpalettes disappear on startup and sometimes when switching between projects. I have my workspace saved with the following anchored to the left side of the screen: Properties, External References, Layer manager, Project Navigator
Design Center, and Toolpalettes. When I close Acad (or it closes itself) and restart, sometimes the tool palettes are there and sometimes not. All of the other palettes are there save that one. They also have a habit of reordering themselves if you pin one open and the minimize it it drops to the bottom of the page. Very annoying when you think your PN is at the top, and it isn't, but i digress.
I am working with Windows 7, 64bit, dual screens. This happens with equal frequency in both 10 and 12. (Working in 12 to develop rollout for office and working out kinks. No I do not run them both at the same time.)
One more clue, I noticed in the command history that TOOLPALETTES loads and is followed imediatly by _ToolPalettes.

Oct 17, 2012Soms of the objects in my 3D view "disappear" when clicking on it. The edges are still visible while the rest of the objects get invisible. This is only the case for some objects in my 3D view. I have no problem with the visibility of the objects in the structural plans or elsewhere. How can I make all objects visible in 3D again when clicking on them?

On the computer of one of our users, the profile created in Autocad suddenly disappears :-(. We do not know why ... The user is obliged each time to recreate his profile, reconfigure all toolbars .Have you ever encountered this problem?
Second problem:
On another computer, from time to time the delete function of Autocad is no longer functional. We need each time between Pickfirst = 1 and that works.How to ensure that this function does not disappear?
Third problem:
On another computer, the user activates the 3D profile, he selects his palette, and when he clicks on the "more"window, autocad error appears "Error Report Autodesk,..." . Is it possible to display all palettes?

However, I have the same settings in another drawing file and they are the correct size. I have compared all the settings of the drawings that I can think of but still can't find an answer. It seems to be a scale issue but my scales from dwg file to dwg file seem to be the same.

Oct 1, 2013how to get the annotative scale to work with schedule tags.When I use attributes in blocks I draw the attribute definition with a height that I wish it to display in PaperSpace. Then when defining the block I select the annotative scale so that the block and text display correctly in any viewport.
However when I create Scheduling Tags using the Create Tags button on the Annotate/Scheduling tab it shrinks the text by 1/8" as soon as the tag is created. I've made sure that the scales are set to 1:1 when I create it. I guess I can just enlarge the text 8 times before I make the Tag.

Sep 17, 2012So I create a block on layer 0 and then create the block as a 1 inch by 1 inch block so it is easy to scale up to the size I need but when I try to insert the block at the scale I need it wont resize it to the correct scale. It stays at the 1 inch by 1 inch original block.

Feb 16, 2012Architecture 2009 running on Windows 7. Dell Precision T5400 with a Quadro FX570 graphics card.
I have lately been having some issues with text in Architecture 2009. I first noticed that within Mtext, when you hit the "UPPERCASE" or "lowercase" buttons, the text disappears in the editor, and no changes are made. Not the end of the world, but not handy.
Then it stopped letting me type in Mtext boxes at all. The return key seemed to work, but nothing else. Then it started converting text typed into Mtext boxes into (I think) Chinese characters. Really not handy. At this point I decided to try to reinstall. First I tried a repair, then reinstalled over the existing installation, then uninstalled completely and reinstalled from the disk. I've also done a windows restore, though as this has slowly been falling apart, I'm not sure when I should restore back to.
I have Mtext basic functionality back, but the "UPPERCASE" and "lowercase" buttons still make the text disappear.
Not sure if it's related, but I also get a Fatal Error e06d7363h at 758bd36fh about 4 or 5 times a day. Usually it's associated with the open command (ctrl+o), but sometimes it just happens at random.

Oct 12, 2012When I zoom in on a drawing, certain parts of the drawing will just disappear. Dimensions, title block, text...it doesn't matter, its different every time. It's not all the time but when it happens it's frustrating. Try dimensioning a part that isn't visible! When I zoom out to a full page view it always returns. When I zoom in again, parts will disappear. See attached screen captures and you will see the same file at different moments.

The page set-up for layout 1 was for 24x36 drawing size (typ.)I know need to make a layout 2 for a sheet size 11x17 but I can not get my viewport to scale correctly. So, if a 24x36 sheet size had a VP with scale 0.004 (1:250) then what is the scale for a sheet size 11x17 ?
