Photoshop :: New Radeon 5770 Card Makes CS3 Cursor (on All Tools) Disappear
Nov 3, 2012
I just put in a new Radeon 5770 card (PCI slot 1) into my Mac Pro 2008 Quad Core which is running Photoshop CS3. Now, the cursor (on all tools) disappears when mousing over any open PDS document. In Indesign, the cursor for all tools shows and works - as well as other pragrams.Â
I just upgraded to Photoshop CS6. In anticipation of this new version, I upgraded to a new graphics card, ATI Radeon HD 5770, in my first slot. I have my main monitor, which is a Cintiq 21UX, plugged into that card. I still have two older graphics cards, both NVIDIA GeForce 7300 GTs, in slots #2 and 4.Â
I have two Apple monitors connected to the card in slot #4. When I first opened the program I received a message stating "Photoshop detected graphics hardware that is not officially supported". I checked under Preferences-Performance and it is only detecting my NVIDIA GeForce 7300 GT and the "Use Graphics Processor" box is checked.Â
The new Radeon graphics card is not detected. I checked the list of Adobe tested GPUs and, if I read it correctly, it is listed as one of the approved cards. I'm working on a 2 x 3 GHz Dual-Core Intel Xeon Mac running OS Lion version 10.7.3.Â
My graphics card is dying. To be exact, the fan on my old Radeon 4650 card is making strange noises from time to time and when it does, the temperature on the card goes up. It is time for a replacement. Â After looking at the various cards, I settled on the Sapphire 100356OCL Radeon HD 7790 OC 1GB DDR5 PCI-Express Video Card seen here:[URL]...\
Beside normal display tasks, I have two programs that use Open CL on the graphics card - Photoshop CS5 and WinZip. any Radeon 7790 based card with Photoshop CS5? If so, have you encountered any difficulties with Open CL activated in CS5?
I'm having a lot of glitchy problems with Photoshop CS6. I believe it's because of the graphics card. The image keeps disappearing and reappearing as I make adjustments, the Waccom table controls (for sizing brushes) suddenly stops working. When I touch the Waccom pen to tablet the cursor turns into a spinning tarus. I reboot, and it's OK for a little while, then starts acting up again. I've changed the Graphics Processor Settings from Advanced, to Normal, to Basic. Same problem no matter what.
I'm running on Windows 8. Intel i5 processors. The program is loaded on an SSD drive. The scratch disk is 3 TB so it shouldn't be a memory/space issue. The card driver is up to date.
i've looked on the radeon website to see if there are any driver updates for the radeon 7750 card.it has all updates for the 700 series but not the 7750. Any link for 7750 driver update.i've had cs6 extended for 4 months and ive not really used it because of the problems im having.gone back to using my old cs5 extended which i have no problems at all.
I have AutoCAD 2013, and my laptop specs are as follows: Intel I7 Processor12 GB RAMATI Radeon 7670M HD Graphics Card Whenever I start AutoCAD with the Radeon graphics card installed and enabled, it crashes giving me the following error:
Fatal Error: Unhandled Access Violation Reading 0x0020 Exception at 5d79264dh
However, the moment I disable the graphics card from the device manager, AutoCAD works fine. I tried installing the latest drivers and everything, but still AutoCAD crashes. I was surprised to find the same thing happening with AutoDesk Revit 2013 as well. I know the problem is with graphis card
Adobe Photoshop Elements 10 for MAC. Â When I select content using the crop tool then hit enter (or the green checkmark) the picture just disappears. This happened all of a sudden a few days ago. I can do COMMAND Z to undo and the picture reappears. But every time I crop the picture disappears and the layer thumbnail just turns brown.
I have a building plan that needs to be in 1:100. When put my drawing into the new layout its there. Then when I change the scale, my drawing disappears.
I try to zoom into an object with my mouse and it disppears. I zoom out and it reappears but it's too far away, I zoom in again and it disappears. Why is it doing this? I click zoom object and that works but I don't want to do that every single time and even that isn't zoomed in enough.
Basically, when I Insert Edge Loops this morning, all of a sudden part of my object disappear. how to use the Hypergraph or how to get rid of whatever is causing this glitch.
What Revit 2012 setting makes walls and floors disappear when rendering is selected? Â I have a Revit 8.1 project that renderes the model just fine. When I import it into Revit 2010 it also remders the model but I have to reassign the custom finishes. But when I upgrade it to 2012 and render - the walls and floors are suddenly missing!
I recently started having this problem in Photoshop CS6 where using the transform or selection tools makes all the layers other than my background layer disappear so I can't see what I'm selection or transforming. This happens randomly out of nowhere. I can be using those tools all day with no problem, and then out of nowhere it starts making things invisible.
There doesn't seem to be any other programs running that would cause it (not that that should be an issue, my computer could easily run all my Adobe programs at once if I wanted it to), and the only thing that seems to fix it so far is restarting Photoshop. But that gets old really fast when I have to do it over and over again. I tried calling Adobe, but somehow they're always closed, even during their supposed hours of operation.
I am using Photoshop CS5 on a Macbook Pro Retina Mountain Lion. When I use the liquify tool, I want the cursor to NOT display. So I can liquify without seeing the crosshair or circle.
I'm making some graphics to be printed on a car. I have some lines with outer glow on them, but Illustrator won't render these unless I use 72DPI in raster effects reslution. I would like to go higher, but it won't give me anything. Guessing it's to heavy for Illustrator maybe? Is there anything I can do about this? I'm making my graphics in 1:1 scale, but I do it in a lower scale since it's just vector art anyway, however how would that effect my glow? Since it's a raster effect.
New to CAD, so probably typical newby problem. When I try to draw (in Nanocad, since it's the only one I can afford) I don't see what I'm doing, i.e. the lines and figures keep disappearing when I move the cursor. Trying again I see my drawings very briefly and then they're gone again. Tried all and every button, menu etc. and hardware is okay.
I was working on a scene and went to select the rotate tool and suddenly all the tools and the entire toolbar was gone! I tried un-checking and re-checking the main toolbar selection but to no avail. I am completely at a loss as to what to do since I can't choose my tools anymore! I put my tools back onto a custom toolbar but I can't find the dropdown box that you can choose what orientation the gizmos use (i.e. local, world,...) Without that toolbar, I really can't do anything and it would be nice to have all the tools back as I can't find half the ones that were there. As you can see in the picture, I put the tools I could find back in.
Am using Photoshop CS6 on iMac 27inch with Mountain Lion. Experiencing inability to use the move tool to place one image on another after extraction. I place the move tool on the previously extracted image and drag it into an new image, but the extracted image does not get placed on the new image. Also, cursor disappears frequently when using Photoshop for extended periods of time.
I am running Photoshop CS6. There is a "widget" that follows my cursor around when using certain tools . This was not present when I was using CS5. It's a little black box with coordinates inside of it that follows my cursor around.
Any fixes coming for PSCC when the cursor vanishes (Don't say it's an Apple prob, because it only happens in PS and all 6 of my machines.) Also the tools freeze quite often and won't come back until I touch the desktop. Then PS plays catch up doing every click or hit I happen to hit in frustration. Reinstalled it twice from a clean install. This is not a release ready product. BTW I have been using PS since 1994 to color comic books and with photography.
How do I remove three images on the cursor when I have selected certain tools from the toolbox in Elements 9? I have just gotten a new computer and 9 was transferred to it from my old computer. Have never had this problem before.
Occasionally cursor will not quit "+" so brush tools unavailable.Been that way thru every version of LR I have used. Need to restart LR every time this happens.LR 5 beta, haven't loaded 5 keeper yet. Mac osx.8.4
the 3rd time of asking about the tools pallete. Â I am using Illustrator CS5.1 on a iMac, I am working on 10.9 Mavericks, and now the crosshair/cursor/ various tools have almost dissappeared to a /faint grey in tint, will I have to wait for a fix from Adobe or Apple or is there something in preferences I can click to solve issue? Â I Have already reported this 'Bug' via Adobe website. Â I have to keep pressing my nose against the screen and squint my eyes to see where I am drawing and designing, it's not a pretty sight.
Does the ATI GPU Radeon 9600 XT compatible with CS4? Even after I have installed the last driver 9.3, I cannot turn on the Open GL in CS4 preferences.I know that video card is Open GL 2.0 and Shader 2.0 compatible.
Im buying a new video card for my Photoshop PC, and Im trying to figure out if Photoshop supports GPU acceleration on both Nvidia and Radeon cards. Ive heard in the past that it only supported CUDA (Nvidia). I currently use CS5, but will update to CS6 at some point.
