Dec 2, 2013even if i personalize the theme to make all my windows bright pink, AutoCAD 2009 just stays very light grey, with barely readable white writing.

AutoCAD 2010 :: Ctrl+s (QSAVE Command) Makes Drawing Read-only?
Aug 15, 2012Just yesterday one of my computers has had it's ctrl+S command making a file read-only. Using the save icon and typing "qsave" work fine. I tried looking at the save options and everything looks ok as well as looking at the shortcut keys in the cui. Everythign looks like all the others that don't have this problem. Is there something I'm missing or has something become corrupted?

AutoCad 2D :: LT 2011 On Windows Vista - Hatching Makes PC Hang
Jul 13, 2012I have a serious problem when hatching in AutoCAD LT 2011, it's making my PC hang but only when I'm using the 'Add: Pick points' command. It's so bad that I can't even call up the task manager to stop the process and I have to switch it off and on again to get it working.
I've never encountered this before with earlier versions of AutoCAD, is there a way around this? It's driving me nuts!
I'm using AutoCAD LT 2011 on Windows Vista.
Since opening my most recent backup file I think I may have found the cause.
I had inserted a .jpg image (150 x 150 @ 8KB) that I was using to trace around it and it was these tracings that I tried to hatch. I have since deleted the image and now the hatching causes no problems.

Dec 29, 2011I am working with M.Objects which is a very neat and comfortable picture show application.
Images that are exported under LR 3.6 can't be imported there. M.Objects is a Windows application.So I threw 3.6 into trash, and installed LR 3.5 again. Now it works again properly!!

Oct 14, 2012I use an external hard drive for my Lightroom images. When I travel I take that external (plus a second identical one for back-up) with me and use my laptop. When I return home, I use that external to view and edit my images on my desktop. Suddenly about 350 images show up as missing or offline when I view that external drive on my desktop. Nothing is seen as offline or missing. What can have happened? I use the same external, the same catalog and do not understand why the images are seen only on one computer and not the other. I am an Apple user but can't see what difference that would make.

At first i started to experiment my self with a simple only task (created a new project only for this) to draw 4 circles with the same center (radius1,2,3,4) in autocad with a simple click of the command button.

GIMP :: Application Windows Layout And Alignment
Jul 8, 2012it is the first time that i am installing GIMP on Windows, the problem is about application dialogs and menus alignment , i use Persian as my default windows language and it seems that GIMP detect my windows language and make all alignments to Right to Left as Persian default alignment , i tried to use the PreferencesInterfaceLanguage -> English United State but after reopen the application there is no change !
is it possible to force it to align everything in left to right alignment ?

Mar 30, 2009A couple of weeks ago I installed CS4 64 bit in the 64-bit beta of Windows 7. All I did was open it, look at it, do a bit of minimal adjustment to the Prefs, open a couple of photos and pretend to edit them.
I opened it 2 days ago, and it was still fine. It Photoshop had a standard Windows 7 Aero title bar.
Today it has no title bar, just a bit of space above the menu line. Bridge still has a title bar, however.

May 13, 2011I'm trying to make a standard block which will automatically read the co-ordinates! i have started making it trying to use fields, but when inserting the block into the drawing it stays at x=0, y=0, which is the point in the block. how do i get it to read the point in the drawing, and also how would i always get it to read the world ucs.
i have attached the block i've started, haven't added any dynamics yet as i'm just testing it.
AutoCad :: Determining Polar Coordinates On Hard Copy Drawing
Aug 19, 2012I just started my CAD classes. I have been doing basic 2d drawing and just learning the commands etc.
My question concerns polar coordinates. I know how they work, but are you expected to be able to get polar coordinates off lets say a hard copy drawing with no annotations.
My homework so far has always had the length of the lines depicted on the drawing but not the angles. So if I was required to replicate a drawing that had no annotation is there any way other than guessing or whipping out my protractor.
This is just a nagging thought as I strive to understand CAD.
AutoCAD 2010 :: No Refresh After Closing Drawing Until Application Window Is Resized
Apr 10, 2012My AutoCAD 2012 installation has been doing this for a while, but I don't remember it always doing this:
After I close a drawing (if it is the last drawing open), by using either the "close" command or by clicking the "x" on the window, instead of going to the generic gray-stripe background it just shows what the drawing looked like before close. This keeps messing with my head, as I think AutoCAD has just stopped responding.
If you look closely, though, you can see that the "AutoCAD" and "Autodesk" labels appear on the drawing, but I don't immediately notice this because my drawings are more complex than the sample drawing I've attached.

However, when I manually resize the application window (either by restoring or maximizing, or by draging the window edge, the application window refreshes to show the proper generic gray-stripe background.

Mar 30, 2013I wanted to get opinions on the most efficient way of creating & saving title blocks, with regards to using them in future projects.
1. Create a title block in model space then save it as a .dwt file

2. Create a title block in model space then save it as a block
I can't imagine there's a right or wrong way, just wanted get your input. Chances are you all know something I don't.
