AutoCad 2D :: LT 2011 On Windows Vista - Hatching Makes PC Hang

I have a serious problem when hatching in AutoCAD LT 2011, it's making my PC hang but only when I'm using the 'Add: Pick points' command. It's so bad that I can't even call up the task manager to stop the process and I have to switch it off and on again to get it working.
I've never encountered this before with earlier versions of AutoCAD, is there a way around this? It's driving me nuts!
I'm using AutoCAD LT 2011 on Windows Vista.
Since opening my most recent backup file I think I may have found the cause.
I had inserted a .jpg image (150 x 150 @ 8KB) that I was using to trace around it and it was these tracings that I tried to hatch. I have since deleted the image and now the hatching causes no problems.

Never had this issue when running past versions of Autocad but every time i try and hatch using 'pick internal points' the program crashes. Â "FATAL ERROR - Out of memory - shutting down" message comes up every time. Â Hatching by selecting an object works fine but most of time this option is unusable.

Unfortunately we had upgraded LT 2008 to LT2011. A lot of problems arose:
- LT freezes after starting wich we could only solve by upgrading .net framework to v4. Without v3.5 LT runs butÂ
we are not able to use the ribbons, only LT classic. Is this solvable?
- When using LT, after 5 to 10min the systems runs out of memory and shuts LT down. We are under a workstation
with VIsta 64 bits with 8Gb RAM, QuadCore Intel 2,4Ghz, and 512Mb graphics.

My colleague and myself have a problem with the font Lucida in the header of a plan we designed. He's running Windows Vista and I am running Windows 7. I designed the header, but now he has to make some additional plans with that same header but if he opens the file with that header, strangely enough the font Lucida he uses is not exactly the same as the one I've used although the properties show they're all the same. Another colleague with Windows 7 has no problem with it. As you can see in the attachments I've added, the '1' is not exactly the same as well as the '-' so texts don't fit the boxes they're in anymore. We also can't really alter the font, seeing as Lucida is the font our client uses and requires for this project. We've tried overwriting my colleague's font by my LUCIDA-font in the location C:WindowsFonts but this didn't resolve the problem either.

I have read in the database about Vista and CS2, "Installs and runs with minimal known issues." But it also states under Support for Windows Vista, "not officially." I have just loaded Photoshop CS2 onto my new laptop which has Windows Vista Ultimate 64 bit as its OS. All working well except I notice that,when I made adjustments to a layer (for example,using curves to colour adjust,or even just brighten midtones),it takes a long time for any change to take place to the values of colour sample points which I may have applied to the background layer. I usually place four colour sample points on my background image to monitor changes as I make adjustments. When I used Photoshop CS2 on my previous laptop which had Windows XP as its OS,changes were instant. I have the cache level set at 6 in Preferences with 70% available RAM set.

When I try to install on my new computer I just keep getting a dialogue box that says "You cannot install this product on the current operating system". I purchassed Autocad in about January 2011 and have a valid licence. The setup program gives me no other options. I just downloaded the program files rather than buy a hard copy.Â

I use a couple of systems for CS and LR only. They are running Windows Vista (Home Edition). I wanted to sign up for creative cloud, but the service tells me that Windows 7 (or 8) is supported, not Vista. If I upgrade my PC to Windows 7, will the current versions of CS6 and LR 4.4 still work? Or, do I have to buy a new version.

Goes straight to a black box that says not responding then gets to looking for data files and then windows takes over and searches for a solution before shutting the whole works down. Takes about 30 secs.
I just installed this because 2.6 was doing the same thing.

i am very desappointed that it is not possible to install inventor suite 2011 on windows 8.1.
I have made the update of windows 8 and inventor does'nt not start, even with acomplet  new install.
in my school, whe have inventor 2011 and the new students can't install inventor 2011 on their new pc.
the school don't change the version of inventor while the pc will not change (win xp and 32 bits, not good for inventor 2014).

When we were using X4 on Vista I had no problems with the graphic distorting. Since we moved our system over to Windows 7 we have had major problems, Â sometimes when we get art work the logo's will gradually distort to the point they are unrecongizable.
Even if we try and replace the logo with a new copy the same thing will happen. I have a legit copy of X4.
Most people are telling us its because the logo's we receive are corrupted but that doesnt seem to be the factor.

I just installed CS4 Design Premium and am having a problem with Photoshop images.
When I look in the file folder on my computer, PSD files do not have an image preview.
I checked in the preferences under "file handling" and "always save" is selected for "image previews."

I just received my Apple Cinema Display and I connected to a PC with Windows Vista.
The Apple Display does not have an OSD menu only a briteness (+)&(-) button on the side. If I wanted to calibrate my display with i1 Display 2 I can only use it in (Easy Mode). The reason being Easy Mode doesn't have the options for white point, gamma, luminance, contrast, rgb controls or briteness.

Just got my new work PC and I'm having issues drawing lines in AutoCAD LT 2011.
Much like other people, circles are fine, as is most everything else. Â It's just the lines (and who uses lines when drawing things?). Â So, as you can imagine, my frustration level is to the point where my head is about to explode.
Here are my PC Specs:
Windows 8
Intel Core i7-3770 3.40GHz - 8 CPUS
Memory - 16GB Ram
AMD Radeon HD 7770
2GB GDDR5 Memory
And this is coming from an old Dell that ran 2011 like a champ, the computer just got old and died.
I can't see any reason, component wise, why the CPU can't handle it, and, since it's just on lines, it leads me to believe it's a software issue where 2011 LT isn't playing nicely with Windows 8 or some other component.
Could it be that it's just time to get with the times and upgrade or is there some workaround?

I updated a working cad station with the lastest pathes. It loaded the new MS Dot Net framework 4. Now Acad crashes if you open it, see below. If you click on an existing drawing it opens and you can work with no problems.
My question is - Is Acad 2011 compatable with the new DotNet 4? The fault module below is DotNet. The old drawings were created using 3.51 DotNet so it looks to me it tries to use the dot net 4 on new drawing.

I have CS6 installed on Windows Vista 64x bit. Everything is fine except for some inaccurate metadata. Camera raw v 6.7 is displayed instead of the latest installed ver 7.1. Also lens serial numbers are not shown or are missing. In lens specification f/0 shows up which of course is wrong.
