Photoshop :: CS4 Download Doesn't Contain Program?
Feb 13, 2013When I purchased CS4 I downloaded it to my main computer and I think my backup one too. After a while I took it off my backup, and now I need it there again so I can travel with it. I went into my account and downloaded it onto the backup computer. It appeared as a blue photoshop square logo with a disc image in the right hand corner. When I opened it all it contained was language options and no other options. I double clicked on English and it opened to a folder containing 'Goodies' and that's all. No installation protocols. Also there was an icon looking like a Text edit icon with a hard drive icon superimposed on it, I double clicked it and all I got was the language selection again. I'm running mac 10.5.8 on a Mac Book.Â

Jun 7, 2009I have just loaded Photoshop CS2 onto my new laptop which has Windows Vista Ultimate 64 bit as its OS. All working well except I notice that,when I made adjustments to a layer (for example,using curves to colour adjust,or even just brighten midtones),it takes a long time for any change to take place to the values of colour sample points which I may have applied to the background layer. I usually place four colour sample points on my background image to monitor changes as I make adjustments. When I used Photoshop CS2 on my previous laptop which had Windows XP as its OS,changes were instant. I have the cache level set at 6 in Preferences with 70% available RAM set.

Nov 18, 2013I use a couple of systems for CS and LR only. They are running Windows Vista (Home Edition). I wanted to sign up for creative cloud, but the service tells me that Windows 7 (or 8) is supported, not Vista. If I upgrade my PC to Windows 7, will the current versions of CS6 and LR 4.4 still work? Or, do I have to buy a new version.

Aug 8, 2008I just received my Apple Cinema Display and I connected to a PC with Windows Vista.
The Apple Display does not have an OSD menu only a briteness (+)&(-) button on the side. If I wanted to calibrate my display with i1 Display 2 I can only use it in (Easy Mode). The reason being Easy Mode doesn't have the options for white point, gamma, luminance, contrast, rgb controls or briteness.

Jan 22, 2013Power Mac G5 crashed, we could not afford another, and he had just purchased CS5. So we could only afford the IMac now, we again needed to upgrade to CS6. The install alows you to use it on two computers, a computer and laptop.We tried explaining to the sales people when he finally got through, that we need an install for just a Windows laptop, we can not afford another Mac, we need a laptop for him in bed, if he will be able to do anything, he wants to work on his art.
They, Photoshop, were very unsimpethtic, we just purchased an upgrade for CS6, because of the IMac, yet, now we can not install and use our second choice on a Windows platform. Again, we would need to pay full upgrade price again. Yet, he only has it installed on Imac, they told him he would have to de-actiate it, WE KEEP COPIES ON A EXFAT32 harddrive too, and Mac, to share and show clients.
The people of Photoshop did not even care he is dying, literally, slowly,,, but he is keeping positive that all will be well, and survive.Timothy and Marcia Cannon we will no longer be a customer for Adobe.

Dec 23, 2011I saved a photo book and while I was working on it it got closed by accident. Now I cannot open it back up into the photobook program I was working on it in. I can find the "photobook" in my saved files and when I open it, it separates each page as a file so I have to open each page separately and work on them instead of having the whole book to look at and then I can flip through the pages of the photobook and decide which page to put my photo on. I have typed this into all the help systems but nothing comes up.
