how I can print the manual, also how do I download the manual into the program…I downloaded the zip file opened it with 7 Zip but couldn’t get it to work…I lost my Photoshop 4.0 when my computer crashed and a friend told me your program is much better and free…on my very limited budget that was good news, but I do need to print the manual because I have difficulty reading things on the computer.

Is it possible to write a program for cross section by manual input of data like below. Objective is to draw a cross section with grid lines and labels of section data and datum value.
Program will ask for :
Datum value ?
Grid line spacing ?
Datas are :
Section Left

and so on.....

When I purchased CS4 I downloaded it to my main computer and I think my backup one too. After a while I took it off my backup, and now I need it there again so I can travel with it. I went into my account and downloaded it onto the backup computer. It appeared as a blue photoshop square logo with a disc image in the right hand corner. When I opened it all it contained was language options and no other options. I double clicked on English and it opened to a folder containing 'Goodies' and that's all. No installation protocols. Also there was an icon looking like a Text edit icon with a hard drive icon superimposed on it, I double clicked it and all I got was the language selection again. I'm running mac 10.5.8 on a Mac Book.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI'm a paleontology student and in my work I have to create reconstructions and pictures of fossils, most of them stippled (similar to URL..... I used to work with Gimp 2.6, using paintbrush fading set to 1 px (i.e. every click of a mouse making one, perfect dot). I'm using a mouse, because I find it more comfortable and precise than a graphic tablet. Unfortunately, after Gimp update to 2.8 the brush options changed, the brush fading ceased to work as it used to, and I can't find a way to turn it on (tweaking the dynamics settings would probably work for a tablet, but I find it useless for a mouse). I know there are some plugins for automatic stippling/halftoning, but unfortunately they are not what I want, as they obviously mix information about shape (shading) and color, while I need my pictures to show only the shape of the specimens. Is there any way to make the paintbrush fading work in Gimp 2.8 as it worked in Gimp 2.6?

Purchased from Adobe via internet. Akamai interface downloaded and then Photoshop Elements 11. Both icons on Mac desktop. Double clicking on PE 11 does not launch program. Is it fully downloaded? I get Read Me file in four languages as well as a PE 11 icon after double clicking the desktop icon.

I went to see what the default browser but it only shows "Reg_SZ" in the HKEY_CLASSES_ROOThttpshellopencommand. I want to verify what my default browser is. Isn't that what GIMP will use as the browser? Why does GIMP use the NotePad program to display the user manual when I have the preferences set to local access (on my computer)? The name of the NotePad file is "gimp-concepts-usage".
I never before had any problem to download Gimp in to my iMac Intel, Tiger, Leopard and Snowleopard.

It seems I got all the results I expected all the way and all seems right as far as I can tell.I uninstalled Gimp (and lost the User Manual Guide in the process and can't find it again), reinstalled Gimp2.8, followed all the steps described and ended up with:
Gimp2.8 in "All Programmes". It opens but Resynthesizer is not there.I go to New User/Downloads/.gimp2.8/plugins and the three files I downloaded as instructed are there - Heal Selection.py, a python file, resynthesizer and resynthesizer-gui, both executable files. (Other instructions say to put one of those files in the "scripts" folder and to change one file to another updated one but...) Happy that they're where they're meant to be I close all and reopen Gimp.
From all I've gleaned in my search for a good Editor Gimp seems to be at the top of the list. I know others have managed to do this so I don't understand why I can't.
I typically use GIMP 2.6. Computer crashed recently so now I've downloaded 2.8. When I download ABR files into the brushes folder, the program won't start. It wigs out and doesn't work. I copied abr files just fine into my GIMP 2.6. Why is this happening?
I even went so far as to find GIMP 2.6 on the web for download. But the same problem. There are strange 'VBR' files now that didn't used to be in my old brush folder but are suddenly there now.
(and 'gimp doesn't accept abr files' my old 2.6 accepted them JUST fine. No fancy converter or anything).
i bought adobe cloud and i started downloading all the software and deleting old version. I didn't know there was a special way to delete adobe application so i just dragged it into a program called app cleaner and it deleted all the files. But it won't let me put cs6 photoshop on my computer because it still thinks i have cs6 photoshop beta. how can i get photoshop back onto my computer.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI am having a problem with copying a transparent layer and then Pasting it from the clipBoard to any graphic program (irfanview and WebPlusX4).
The Transparent layer contains a cloudBrush graphic. The foreground color is white, and bg color is black.
When I paste it into webPlus, it shows up as ALL white. Then I change the pasted image as Transparent with white a bg. The ALL white disappears. And so does the cloud image.
How come I can't see the image? What must I do in Gimp to be able to pass the imageLayer via clipBoard.
Is there a way to use this program to create a double exposure effect? Ican do it with my 35mm camera manually while taking pics. But was not sureif you can create the same digitally?
