Jul 16, 2008My new Windows Vista is a 64 bit. Can I safely install my old Photoshop 7, which is probably 32 bit, onto my new Windows Vista?

Photoshop :: Can't Install CS2 On Vista.
Feb 10, 2009I just bought Photoshop CS2 (the Polish version) on the internet. I am trying to install it on my HP Pavilion dv7-1080ew laptop. I can't get past the end part of the installation process, though. When it gets to registering (the very last part of installing), it starts rolling back the changes. I turned off my AV, tried running it as administrator, in compatibility mode for XP... still doesn't work. Is anyone else having this problem?

Mar 20, 2008I have downloaded the trial version of PhotoShop CS3 but when I try to install it unzips ok from the initial setup file, but then when I go into the created folder on the desktop and run the setup program in there a dialog box appears, nothing else happens, then it disappears after a few seconds. The process for it appears then disappears in Task Manager also.

Feb 19, 2008having trouble getting the trial i downloaded to extract onto my system. It tells me i either haven't got enough room or administritive privileges to run the set-up. Both of which aren't true.
this is the exact message i'm getting
"a problem occured while extracting some files. check available space on your computer and the write privileges on the destination folder"
I tried running that regsvr script, didn't help though.
I've now tried downloading it off of ie7 as opposed to firefox and I've got past the stage i got to previously.

This will mean a formate of my C: drive (160 gb programs disk) and clean install of Vista.

Jun 7, 2009I have just loaded Photoshop CS2 onto my new laptop which has Windows Vista Ultimate 64 bit as its OS. All working well except I notice that,when I made adjustments to a layer (for example,using curves to colour adjust,or even just brighten midtones),it takes a long time for any change to take place to the values of colour sample points which I may have applied to the background layer. I usually place four colour sample points on my background image to monitor changes as I make adjustments. When I used Photoshop CS2 on my previous laptop which had Windows XP as its OS,changes were instant. I have the cache level set at 6 in Preferences with 70% available RAM set.

Nov 18, 2013I use a couple of systems for CS and LR only. They are running Windows Vista (Home Edition). I wanted to sign up for creative cloud, but the service tells me that Windows 7 (or 8) is supported, not Vista. If I upgrade my PC to Windows 7, will the current versions of CS6 and LR 4.4 still work? Or, do I have to buy a new version.

The Apple Display does not have an OSD menu only a briteness (+)&(-) button on the side. If I wanted to calibrate my display with i1 Display 2 I can only use it in (Easy Mode). The reason being Easy Mode doesn't have the options for white point, gamma, luminance, contrast, rgb controls or briteness.

Also lens serial numbers are not shown or are missing. In lens specification f/0 shows up which of course is wrong.

Nov 29, 2008I have two PC's running Windows Vista that I work with and both have photoshop CS3 installed, but for what ever reason on one of the PC's the Windows Photo Gallery application displays really desaturated colors when views jpg's and the like (the other PC's displays them fine).
I've googled and haven't yet found out a quality solution, lots of info on simply combining and replacing drivers and the like and nothing really set in stone from Adobe, or Microsoft etc

Dec 23, 2011I saved a photo book and while I was working on it it got closed by accident. Now I cannot open it back up into the photobook program I was working on it in. I can find the "photobook" in my saved files and when I open it, it separates each page as a file so I have to open each page separately and work on them instead of having the whole book to look at and then I can flip through the pages of the photobook and decide which page to put my photo on. I have typed this into all the help systems but nothing comes up.

CorelDRAW X4 :: Logo Distorting On Windows Vista?
Mar 11, 2011When we were using X4 on Vista I had no problems with the graphic distorting. Since we moved our system over to Windows 7 we have had major problems, Â sometimes when we get art work the logo's will gradually distort to the point they are unrecongizable.
Even if we try and replace the logo with a new copy the same thing will happen. I have a legit copy of X4.
Most people are telling us its because the logo's we receive are corrupted but that doesnt seem to be the factor.

Jun 7, 2009I've been using Photoshop Elements 5.0 for a few years now on my PC running Vista. Beginning just a few days ago (and unconnected to any updates of which I am aware), I started getting an error when I tried to delete or import files in the Organizer. The error says: ODBC data source [Microsoft] [ODBC Microsoft Access Driver] Cannot open database "I". It may not be a database that your application recognizes, or the file may be corrupt. The photos are there - I can see them in Windows Photo Gallery. I can delete photos from there as well. Just not in Organizer. Wondered if anyone might be able to point me in a good direction for a fix?
