AutoCAD 2013 :: Xreferenced Colour(s) Displaying Wrong

I am editing a drawing i have inherited from the previous drafter who is no longer working here. this drawing references 2 other drawings. one is the title block, the other is the engineering drawing. both of these drawings have white objects in them, namely, some text and some solid hatching.
Instead ot those white objects appearing as white in this drawing, they are appearing as a grey colour. i have double and triple checked that these objects are coloured by layer and the layer is white in both of the xrefs. they appear white in the xrefs but not in the final drawing.
since we are using colour dependent line weights in our printing, i would like to get this colour problem sorted.

i open a image file in Photoshop CS4 it looks all jumbled and has diagnol lines going through it. Even when i open just a blank file it has a huge black triangle going through it.

when I opened up a picture I had drawn to start colouring it, it was being displayed in wrong colours.
It seems to be lighter and has more yellow and red in it.
I dont recall changing anything.
This is only how the image is displayed though when you look at it on photoshop. Because after you save it, you can open in in paint or whatever and its back to its original colours.
If i start a brand new picture from scratch, and then save it and open it up in another programme the picture is significantly darker and bluer.
So I think it has something to do with the way that photoshop is viewing the picture.

I created a surface with the style showing slopes as 2D solids. I extracted the slopes from the surface and moved them to their own file. They look fine in the file where they reside. When I xreference them into a drawing, they no longer show up as solids. They just show the outlines of the triangles.
I know I could change the style to to 2d hatches instead of solids, but I'm more curious as to why this is happening and how to fix the 2d solids.

Every time I use a command which opens a window, like _options or _open, the window appears on my second monitor. What can I do to make the windows open on the same monitor as the primary window?

I've recently begun using the "DWG to PDF.pc3" plotter/printer for making PDF files of my AutoCAD 2013 drawings because it's quite a lot faster than using the "Adobe PDF" plotter/printer that I have been using up to now.
But today I noticed something very odd: After I create a PDF file using the "DWG to PDF.pc3" plotter/printer, when I go into Windows Explorer (the file manager) and click on a file to select it, the file shows the "Date Created" and "Date Modified" as being "11/27/2007 9:11 AM" even though the file was actually created today, 4/18/2013 at 3:01 PM. If I right-click the file and select Properties, the General tab shows this incorrect date and time for the Created and Modified data, as well as the Accessed data, which you can see in screen capture 1 attached.
Before you ask the obvious: yes, my computer's date and time ARE set correctly. This is as if AutoCAD has some sort of "internal" clock that's set to the wrong time, the wrong dthe wrong year, and is assigning that wrong information to the finished PDF file... very weird.Â
And then opening the file in Acrobat itself, when I click on the File menu and then on Properties, the Document Properties window appears and shows the data contained within the file: and it is the CORRECT Created and Modified date & time! You can see this in screen capture 2, also attached.
So it seems as if the "DWG to PDF.pc3" printer/plotter is creating the file correctly, and placing the correct Date and Time data inside the file for Acrobat's use, but is coming up with this bizarre time on a date over 5 years in the past as the data that Windows "sees" in the file's Properties.
I'm simply baffled by this. It wouldn't bother me so much except for the fact that we make many corrections and updates to files without changing or "dating" the file name, and my boss frequently asks me to sort the files within a folder by the Date Modified, so we can find the latest revision.

They have one file xrefed into another but the text is not showing up. It is a block and the text is an attribute - but it is exploded.
I have attached 2 images - the first one - of the original file the second - where it is xrefed into another file with the text missing.

I am having trouble with getting the quick properties box to display. Â I have turned the feature on at the bottom taskbar, and tried Ctrl+Shift+P, and changed settings so that it displays to the top-right of the cursor, but I get nothing when I select any object. Â It used to work on 2012 but not now.Â

We are in the middle of implementing AutoCAD 2013 to replace 2010 so at the moment I am converting / modifying our own code to suit the AutoCAD 2013 API.
One of our routines collects data from drawings (drawings are not fysically opened in AutoCAD) using the system variables 'LimMin' and 'LimMax' in order to collect all objects drawing within the titleblock.
Point2d min2d = (Point2d) Application.GetSystemVariable("LimMin");
Point2d max2d = (Point2d) Application.GetSystemVariable("LimMax");
Only the objects in the titleblock area need to be processed and this gives the engineers also the opportunity to add extra information outside the titleblock. We have used this method in 2007 and 2010 releases of AutoCAD succesfully.
But with AutoCAD 2013 I have run into a snag. As said does this routine not fysically open the drawing in AutoCAD it merely adresses the 'autocad database' Â so to speak. It seems that 2013 selects the variables from an opened active drawing instead of the 'opened' drawing by the routine. What do I need to modify in the lines of codes stated above to get this rouine up and running?
The workaround for this moment is to skip the collection in the titleblock area al together and select all objects in the entire drawing which does not speed up things very much Â

The major and minor station alignment labels keep disappearing in my drawing. I've had some luck by removing and re-adding the labels but this has stopped working. Is this an issue that will be resolved by Service Pack 1?

While loading any dwg file in autocad 2013, the preview is wrongly showing after select some shortcut file in same dwg folder. and its not back to the dwg preview. its only happen in window 7 machines only.

I am currently in urgent need to open an autocad file (.dwg) that has Chinese characters in it, but no matter I tried to download many different .shx fonts I still couldn't get it displayed.
I tried to talk with the maker of the file, but for some reason and addition with my poor Chinese language, I cannot get him understood what I need him to do (send me the .shx files). I am attaching the .dwg file.

I've searched this Discussion Groups area on the site and have found a couple solutions. I've tried them all but I can't seem to figure out how to get ALL of my labels to display when I plot or when I export to PDF. It seems that only the POLES layer labels are having trouble showing up...
I understand scaling and it doesn't seem to be the issue. I've tried plotting under different scales, and I still get the same thing.I've attached an image showing the outcome.
On the left is the PRINT PREVIEW in AutoCAD.
On the right is the EXPORTED PDF.
I've checked in the administrator under POLE LABELS, and changed a couple things around but I can't seem to get the pole labels to show up.

When programming in Autolisp, I like to view the values set to my variables so you type an exclamation point followed by the variable name on the command line to have it display the value.   My command line will not display the value. I have to hit the F2 key to bring up the text window to view it. how to get the command line to view this information?  We have other computers that show it, but mine will not.

I'm trying to explore possible options for displaying 3D geology models. In the attached I want to chop out the yellow solid and leave the other solids "as is" to reveal the various strata when the yellow solid is removed. I have removed the yellow solid but the results are not quite what I was hoping for.

I have a drawing that is displaying the origin with XYZ and the drawing seems dimmed. It also is running very slow. Â I feel like I've gotten into an editing mode and was unaware. Â I've tried chanding views and UCS. Â When I open other drawings things are normal and faster.

I'm finding a problem with solid fill, drawn in model space its fine, but viewed through a viewport and all I see is the outline of it in wireframe.
I'm not having this problem on other drawings, it's limited to this file, but a colleague has also had as well it so not my workstation. This narrows it down to this specific drawing being the problem.
As regards variables, FILL = 1, FILLMODE=1.
It is just solid objects with the problem, polylines with a width display OK as does fill text.

We had a project folder named A. We created a new project folder named B and copied the AutoCad files from A to B. On one of our workstations if you open a drawing from folder B, then click save as, the dialog opens to folder A.
Not a big problem, but since the files are named the same it can be confusing...Â

If Inventor is on the screen when the pc locks (win+L) Inventor will not display properly after unocking the pc. Moving the mouse around will change what is highlighted in the feature tree and things like that, but I cannot at all see the actual object I am working on. Changing from one open component to another does not work. I have to restart each time this happens. I have updated both Inventor and my display drivers to a supported version.

I'm been unable to find what controls the display of the boundary of a section (volume type) object. A section object that does not show it's boundary, when copied to another file shows the boundary.
Same layer states, visual styles, and other setting between both files.  There must be some setting I'm overlooking... but a search of the so-called help file was not very informative.Â

I have autocad running on my partitioned mac and I have just created a multileader style with Datum triangle filled as the arrowhead symbol. In the view panel the symbol looks correct, but when I select the multileader with this datum style and add it to my drawing it appears as an unfilled triangle!Â

I am experiencing problems with AutoCAD Architecture when drawing a standard wall. When I change the display to read High Detail nothing seems to change - I cant see the hatch patterns for brick/block.
I have ensured that I am on the correct templateÂ

The icon dispayed on the ribbon for my addin seems to be the large (32x32) icon and i'm not sure how to fix that.
In IV2012 it was fine and i can't find anything in the programming that suggests anything was changed.

They turn very dark. See the attached files.
It's important to us that white really shows as white.

I clicked on Auto Hide in property palette settings, and now can't bring it back. I click on ribbon where is the property icon or type in command line, the property palette doesn't show up.Reinstalling program didn't work either.Â
