Photoshop :: CS4 Images Displaying Wrong
Apr 9, 2009i open a image file in Photoshop CS4 it looks all jumbled and has diagnol lines going through it. Even when i open just a blank file it has a huge black triangle going through it.

AutoCAD 2013 :: Xreferenced Colour(s) Displaying Wrong
Sep 15, 2012I am editing a drawing i have inherited from the previous drafter who is no longer working here. this drawing references 2 other drawings. one is the title block, the other is the engineering drawing. both of these drawings have white objects in them, namely, some text and some solid hatching.
Instead ot those white objects appearing as white in this drawing, they are appearing as a grey colour. i have double and triple checked that these objects are coloured by layer and the layer is white in both of the xrefs. they appear white in the xrefs but not in the final drawing.
since we are using colour dependent line weights in our printing, i would like to get this colour problem sorted.

Nov 23, 2003How do you people constantly attach images to your posts? The feature only way I can see allows up to 768000 bytes, and I can't for the life of me get an image (.jpg) down to that little... do you guys use some compression program, or does the size limit increase by posts or something? I'm having problems posting stuff in other threads, so I thought I'd ask. ^^

Feb 22, 2008I use CS-3 on a Windows XP Home platform which uses 2 monitors, the second of which is not color-calibrated. I was just sorting through a number of lunar eclipse images, which I opened in miniature windows on the main monitor. In order to make more room for the most recent image, I dragged one of the images to monitor #2. Now, I cannot move it back to the main monitor. Moreover, all images now open onto monitor #2, regardless whether I open from ACR or from PS itself. I have maximized and minimized the image on monitor #2, but this does not help. Although I can move the image around within monitor #2, I cannot move it back onto monitor #1.

1. Take a screenshot of something in your web browser (macintosh CMD+SHIFT+4) to the clipboard.
2. Select File > New from the menu. Clipboard should be the selected Preset.
3. Notice how in CS6 the color profile under "Advanced" is "Display" and NOT "sRGB" — in CS5 it is sRGB.
4. Paste from the clipboard into your new document and get the color profile mis-match warning if you are in CS6.

It is either not picking the color space of the clipboard properly like it will in CS5, or I am missing something somewhere.

Nothing I do in an attempt to fix this is working. I have sRGB set as my default profile in color settings, and nothing I do changes this setting for the "Clipboard" preset.

I am getting sick of forgetting to manually select "sRGB" every time, opening up a new document sized to my clipboard and then getting the color profile mismatch warning when I paste in the clipboard contents!

I take so many screenshots as I develop websites this is a CONSTANT problem as I am constantly creating new documents from the clipboard to check alignments, zoom in to get color samples, and many other reasons.
AutoCAD Civil 3D :: Aerials Images Come In Wrong
Jul 3, 2013I have been using [URL] to download aerial images and then insert them into my drawing using mapiinsert. Usually they come in perfect, but sometimes they come in way off. In this case I downloaded image it came in way off. Then i used project base jump and in came in where it should, but the quality is not good enough for what i am trying to determine. so i downloaded an image from [URL]inserted it using mapiinsert. It came in once again way off, but i noticed it came in where the other image did. What am i missing. I do not fully understand how these images choose where they land. I understand there is a world file that gives them xy coordinates, but that is the end of my knowledge.

Lightroom :: 4 Exports Images To Wrong Folder

I'm using Lightroom 4, just upgraded, have this problem: when I export to Folder1> Subfolder 1, it puts the export images in the next up hierarchical folder, i.e. Folder1. I select the folder I want in the Export dialog, and I don't have any subfolders selected or created, but it always sticks the shots in the next folder up the tree, it's happened every time I've exported.

I have a multi-artboard Illustrator file that is placed in the document. Every chapter has an image in front of it, every image is an artboard in the .ai.

When I export to EPUB, some artboards are correctly inserted, while one repeats multiple times in a few chapters completely randomly. It has appear only once, but InDesign inserts it many times.

whenever i edit an image with gimp and try to view it in mobile phone ,it's not displaying. it's really a weird problem ...i have tried editing using other softwares such as krita and photoshop and they display correctly. I have also tried editing using gimp 2.6 and it also works fine .

Lightroom :: Displaying Images Belonging To One Keyword?
May 21, 2013There seems to be a minor bug in Lightroom (since version 3): If I have no filter enabled and click on the little arrow next to a keyword, I get a result that is unrelated to the keyword. If I click it again, it works. So it seems that the feature was only tested with the metadata filter already switched on.

Mar 1, 2013I have just moved from v3.6 to v4.3. When using the library window, grid view, I use the filter bu selecting a specific date but images are being returned incorrectly. For example: When I select a date i.e. 25/05/2011, I have images being shown for that date but also others with a capture date of 06/02/2012. How can this issue be corrected? I have over 60,000 images to review.

Jul 12, 2013I don't know if this is just a Windows 8 compatibility issue, but when I save an edited photo it is stored in whatever orientation I opened it. Also the thumbnails only show the original imported image, not the edited image.Â
For instance if I took a picture in a sideways orientation on my smart phone then opened it in PPX5 I can rotate, edit and save and it will show the original image in a sideways orientation. If I post the image on Facebook it will show up sideways. If I put it on a forum it may look okay but people with iPads and iPhones see it sideways.

so if i make something red in photoshop, it ends up truely being more purple.

Photoshop :: Thumbnails Not Displaying
Apr 25, 2008My old laptop tried to self-destruct, so I was forced to move a huge amount of art files to a new laptop. Now, I have no thumbnails in Photoshop (PS3 using XP Professional) and oddly enough, it appears that often entire folders and files aren't showing up when they're actually there. The only thing I'm seeing is the PSD logo. .tifs, .jpgs, and other formats aren't even showing up as being on the disk.
I've gone through all settings that I know of and can't seen to find the 'fix'.

The capture is a bit laggy so both brushes look a little delayed, in reality the CS6 cursor paints exaclty where you'd expect it to, the CC one is offset and it feels very unnatural. It's most evident on the first 2 strokes.Some system info, if it's of use:

Sep 22, 2013I'm having problems with PS showing red and purple as blue. The RAW's are oversaturated with blue and nothing I do can reverse the colours. Both camera, PS and monitor is set to aRGB and the RAW files is showed correctly in the Windows folder. both the highlight and shadow warning are turned off!

Nov 29, 2012user now using CS5.1.I develop webpages and quite often pend much time optimizing my imagesI have a small 20 x 20 picture used for a repeatable background. I try to save it as a gif and manage it go get all the way down to 200 bytes... Well thats at least what Photoshop tells me. Cos when I check in OSX 10.8.2 it tells me its acutally 1.2 kb... I originally made this picture in 40 x 40 which at the moment is 700b, so this makes no sence, that its not smaller than my 40 x 40. And I can see its not the wrong options I choose when saving.
I've also uploaded the image to my server, so see if it was a OSX-issue, but its still over 1kb... Is it a known bug or?
