Photoshop :: Selected Color Profile For New Images From Clipboard Is Wrong In CS6

Steps to reproduce:

1. Take a screenshot of something in your web browser (macintosh CMD+SHIFT+4) to the clipboard.
2. Select File > New from the menu. Clipboard should be the selected Preset.
3. Notice how in CS6 the color profile under "Advanced" is "Display" and NOT "sRGB" — in CS5 it is sRGB.
4. Paste from the clipboard into your new document and get the color profile mis-match warning if you are in CS6.

It is either not picking the color space of the clipboard properly like it will in CS5, or I am missing something somewhere.

Nothing I do in an attempt to fix this is working. I have sRGB set as my default profile in color settings, and nothing I do changes this setting for the "Clipboard" preset.

I am getting sick of forgetting to manually select "sRGB" every time, opening up a new document sized to my clipboard and then getting the color profile mismatch warning when I paste in the clipboard contents!

I take so many screenshots as I develop websites this is a CONSTANT problem as I am constantly creating new documents from the clipboard to check alignments, zoom in to get color samples, and many other reasons.

Today I took some pictures, mostly RAW, but a few JPGs. Lightroom 4.1RC, Windows 7 64bit..When I use the Lens Correction feature on the RAW photos, the proper lens is selected, a Nikon AF-S NIKKOR 16-85mm f/3.5-5.6G ED VR.

When I use the Lens Correction feature on the JPG photos, the proper lens is NOT selected, instead I see it has selected a Nikon AF-S DX NIKKOR 14-24 f/2.8G ED. In fact, next to "Model", I cannot even select the proper lens (the 16-85mm lens) because its not in the list.

The color space on the selected images appears to be changing when I use the Lightroom flash gallery in the web module of LR4.1. This stays the same when the gallery is uploaded. In previous version of LR I have seen color changes in the web module but they have been corrected (and correct) when the gallery is uploaded to the 'net.

I have read that this was (previously) a problem with the flash gallery specifically becuase it was not colour magaded, but I understood that this had been corrected for LR4. As far as my use is concerned it's actually more problematic now than it has been previously.

This is a subject that I have now talked to 3 people at a print lab and 5 local Pro Computer photography about and cannot figure out.
My images are all sRGB color format automatically by my camera.
Somehow my images are coming into PX5 with the sRGB, but the second I do anything to them even just going to save as and renaming them.... then they no longer have a color profile attached.
I have checked this every which way. I make sure the options box under save as has the box checked for "embed ICC profile". They still go out and then have absolutely NO color profile attached.
This was brought to my attention by an outside lab telling me that my photos were printing wrong because of no color profile being on them.
I tried going through After Shot Pro and can view them with any ICC profile including one from this specific lab, but then even on that program if I try to attach a color profile to my photos that have already gone through PX5..... then after shot can't embed a profile, the box is checked but nothing happens.
I have worked on this non stop for a week now and can't figure it out.... the box to embed the profile is always on and not one of my photos has any type of color profile on it after it has been in PX5.
Oh and it's the Ultimate PX5 and all patches etc have been uploaded. I even uninstalled and re-installed once to try and fix.

occasionally, after going through some painstaking object selection, I accidentally choose the wrong action, for example, Rotate instead of Scale. This is because I don't always use typed commands, but will use the left-click menu for some actions, and Rotate and Scale are right next to each other (mouse is a bit jittery sometimes - yes, I need a new mouse). Even with simple object selections, it is annoying to have this happen. If I find that I have made the wrong command choice, I simply want to undo the command choice but keep the objects selected. Is there a way to do this besides clearing it all and starting over? Kind of like the OOPS command, but for actions, not erase?
On a related note, if I have several actions I intend to use on the same set of selected objects, I have to re-select them after each one is completed (not always, but this is sometimes true). Is there a quick re-select command that selects the same group of objects I had last selected?
FYI, I use AutoCAD 2012 LT

When I enable lens profile correction, choose default, auto or custom, LR5 will assign Tamron 28 75. However, the correct lens is the Tamron 24 70 (nikon). I checked my Lightroom 5 lens profiles list and the Tamron 24 70 is listed. How do I get LR5 to recognise the correct lens?

I've been trying to reproduce this color blind conditionfor a long time now and I still didn't figure out how I can do this. I've searched for cluts but didn't find any, only this, which has some previews of them, but no any files I can load into Photoshop's Color Lookup adjustment. I've looked into Pixel Bender plugin, but I'm using CC so that doesn't work either... I've also tried it with the Index Color mode, but that really messes up my image as it has a really low color range (256). I've even tried reproducing the same effect with adjustments, channels, etc, but didn't figure it out.

Since there's a way to perfectly color proof images with this condition, I'm guessing this has to be some kind of ICC profile or something similar. Is there a way I can use it as a color profile?

I created an index for every grade break in my profile, and when I delete a PVI with geometry tools the numbering of this labels starts in the consecutive of the last one that the profile has. How can make this index numbering to keep starting at 1 when I delete one, instead of starting at the next to the last index label?

I'm using Civil 3d 2010, in profile curve details are coming worng, PVI station is OK but LOW PT station of curve is wrong, also in Civil 3d 2009 no any curve details are coming. I'm sending the secreen shot of profile.

I have a pipe network (data shortcut) showing in the profile.
The pipe network was designed from station 98+65 to 100+00.
But the first pipe (from station 98+65 to 99+30) is shown going from station 99+30 to 102+60.
The pipe has a lenght of about 65' and some how it is being projected incorrectly.
The profile is shown going from right to left.

Is there a way to apply a color to selected objects without having to search for the color in the color palette. So say if I am working with an image that has multiple colors but want to use only one of the colors in that image, is there a way to apply it without having to create or add it to the palette.

Running Lightroom 4.3 on my Mac, I have my D600 set to shoot using "Camera Neutral" profile. However, upon import into LR, for some reason, it changes to "Adobe Standard" profile. I can change it to camera neutral, but it's difficult.

I use CS-3 on a Windows XP Home platform which uses 2 monitors, the second of which is not color-calibrated. I was just sorting through a number of lunar eclipse images, which I opened in miniature windows on the main monitor. In order to make more room for the most recent image, I dragged one of the images to monitor #2. Now, I cannot move it back to the main monitor. Moreover, all images now open onto monitor #2, regardless whether I open from ACR or from PS itself. I have maximized and minimized the image on monitor #2, but this does not help. Although I can move the image around within monitor #2, I cannot move it back onto monitor #1.

Suddenly my Photoshop CS5 Color picker has gone wrong. It wouldn't let me change Foreground or Background colors and goes back to gray all the time. I have not changed any settings, but last time I used it was yesterday and all worked ok.

In Lightroom 4.1 when rating (flags, stars or colors) a selected group of images all images selected will have the same flag applied. For instance if I select 10 images to view in the survey mode to compare and select 1 to be flagged as rejected all 10 will be flagged rejected, not just the one. Is there a way to turn this off to select a group of images and flag each differently?

My eyedropper started picking the wrong color! I ahve reset and reinstalled PS - and still have this problem. No matter what color I click the eyedropper on, it picks a shade darker than what I want. Like I said, I am running PS CS6 on OS Mountain Lion.

I just (re)installed Photoshop on my computer after a fresh install of Windows (damn that 2 year rule...) and now the color white on the screen comes out as a light yellow. When i save the files and view it in another program, or print it, it comes out as white, and the numbers (whatever they're called) are set to 255, 255, 255, yet it still comes out as a yellow.

For family history purposes, wish to improve the legibility of some hand written 1930 telegrams; the ink has faded with time so I want to change its colour to black. The form printing has not faded.
The user guide draws attention to the fact that the color selected for replacement must be in the image. Using the Dropper tool with sample size 1 pixel I position the dropper where I want it, see the color in the preview window, then right-click and the selected color appears in the background window on the Materials panel. So far, so good. I then place the Dropper tool over black in the swatch on the Materials panel, click and black appears in the Foreground window of the Materials panel. I think I'm set.
When I select the Color Replacer tool the background window immediately reverts to another color, usually white.Incidentally, the user guide suggests you read up on selecting colors with the Dropper; when you do this you learn that its OK to pick colors from the Materials panel.

We have recently installed Civil 3D 2014 Service Pack 1, and while for the most part it works great, we are noticing one significant issue with profiles. Â In particular, when we have a design profile actively selected with grips showing, and then select one of the grips, the PVI you are editing becomes offset from the cursor. Â When you select a point with the cursor, the profile syncs back up as you would expect.
Just thinking out loud, but it seems like it would be some sort of graphic card issue, but we are seeing it across multiple machines.

I have been using [URL] to download aerial images and then insert them into my drawing using mapiinsert. Usually they come in perfect, but sometimes they come in way off. In this case I downloaded image it came in way off. Then i used project base jump and in came in where it should, but the quality is not good enough for what i am trying to determine. so i downloaded an image from [URL]inserted it using mapiinsert. It came in once again way off, but i noticed it came in where the other image did. What am i missing. I do not fully understand how these images choose where they land. I understand there is a world file that gives them xy coordinates, but that is the end of my knowledge.
