I'm using Civil 3d 2010, in profile curve details are coming worng, PVI station is OK but LOW PT station of curve is wrong, also in Civil 3d 2009 no any curve details are coming. I'm sending the secreen shot of profile.

I created an index for every grade break in my profile, and when I delete a PVI with geometry tools the numbering of this labels starts in the consecutive of the last one that the profile has. How can make this index numbering to keep starting at 1 when I delete one, instead of starting at the next to the last index label?

I have a pipe network (data shortcut) showing in the profile.
The pipe network was designed from station 98+65 to 100+00.
But the first pipe (from station 98+65 to 99+30) is shown going from station 99+30 to 102+60.
The pipe has a lenght of about 65' and some how it is being projected incorrectly.
The profile is shown going from right to left.

Seems like a bug on Autocad Civil 3D 2013. I followed all the tutorials to design a circular vertical curve on a profile and it just dont work. I put circular on settings, click on circular curve by PVI button, the software even ask the radius and it end up designing a parabolic curve.

How can we delete an element within a connected profile.
View 2 Replies View RelatedOn our road profiles, we have to show that low points and high points are adjusted to maintain a minimum of 0.6%. see attached screen shot. Currently, I am calculating the adjusted low point and editing the profile label. Since I can't figure out how to edit one label in a data band, I've been wiping out the old elevation and typing in the new elevation over it.
Is there a way to get C3D to do the calculation for me and populate the labels with the adjusted elevation?

I'm creating finished roadway profiles by setting the PVIs then going back and inserting vertical curves (Free Vertical Parabola, PVI Based). When I insert the vertical curve, it displays as 1-5 tangents depending on length (not a smooth parabola). I've changed the curve tessellation distance under the Edit Profile Style - Design tab, but it doesn't smooth it out. What am I missing here. I don't have this problem in other drawings and I'm using the same template/drawing settings.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI have a large scale industrial project with multiple road profiles and sections sheets. I find that when I plot my drawings manually by opening the drawing everything comes out fine. But when I publish the drawings manually or thru Sheet Set Manager, it shifts my vertical curve labels on my profiles down, which then conflicts with the profile linework (see attached image). Unfortunately manually plotting these drawings is not an option. Because of the amount of information in each drawing it takes 3-4 mins to open and we have 200+ drawings in a single set of drawings, which we have multiple sets of drawings for the project.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI created a road centerline profile and corridor and then created a profile of the two curb lines from the corridor. The road profile that I made has a vertical curve in it but the curb profiles do not show that information, just grade breaks every 25 feet based on the corridor sampling distance.
I would like to have the vertical curve information on the curb profiles.
For a monthly magazine on uncoated paper, our workflow is as follows:
- convert every photo to uncoated cmyk (PSO Uncoated) + apply some corrections to look nice in this profile
- apply a fixed correction curve to the photo's
- (resize images + apply proper sharpening for print)
- export pdf: convert colors to destination, preserve numbers
The correction curve step is critical. Without it, everything is printed much too dark.Unfortunately our printer can't provide us with a correct profile for the paper that is used. That's why the correction curve in photoshop is needed.The profile + the correction curve give a good, predictable result.
However i don't like the workflow with the correction curve, because only photoshop links can be corrected.We would also like to put a digital version of the magazine online, so i have to replace all links if i won't to have them displayed correctly.
Can i somehow combine the icc profile with the correction curve into a new icc profile?I did some research and found about "Custom CMYK" in photoshop (see screenshot), but i think an existing profile (PSO Uncoated) can't be edited or replicated in this dialog box.
I have ran an analysis and SSA gave me Error 607 on the report. It says "Inlet A9 gutter capture curve is not a valid curve."
A couple things I did different from the video lectures...
I selected user define for the Tc to figure out Q. i computed those manually.
For the Inlets I have selected Maximum Capture Cutoff.
There are some inlets in this model I created that do not capture 100% of the flow so i created conveyance links to account for the bypass flow.Not sure why is not recognizing the Curve?
I'm using 2004 and drawing a profile for a utility. I need a 25' radius for my vertical curve for this utility line. I'm wondering how people draw this radius if there is a vertical exaggeration in the profile. Horizontal scale is 1"=20' and Vertical scale is 1"=5'.

View 2 Replies View RelatedToday I took some pictures, mostly RAW, but a few JPGs. Lightroom 4.1RC, Windows 7 64bit..When I use the Lens Correction feature on the RAW photos, the proper lens is selected, a Nikon AF-S NIKKOR 16-85mm f/3.5-5.6G ED VR.
When I use the Lens Correction feature on the JPG photos, the proper lens is NOT selected, instead I see it has selected a Nikon AF-S DX NIKKOR 14-24 f/2.8G ED. In fact, next to "Model", I cannot even select the proper lens (the 16-85mm lens) because its not in the list.
Steps to reproduce:
1. Take a screenshot of something in your web browser (macintosh CMD+SHIFT+4) to the clipboard.
2. Select File > New from the menu. Clipboard should be the selected Preset.
3. Notice how in CS6 the color profile under "Advanced" is "Display" and NOT "sRGB" — in CS5 it is sRGB.
4. Paste from the clipboard into your new document and get the color profile mis-match warning if you are in CS6.
It is either not picking the color space of the clipboard properly like it will in CS5, or I am missing something somewhere.
Nothing I do in an attempt to fix this is working. I have sRGB set as my default profile in color settings, and nothing I do changes this setting for the "Clipboard" preset.
I am getting sick of forgetting to manually select "sRGB" every time, opening up a new document sized to my clipboard and then getting the color profile mismatch warning when I paste in the clipboard contents!
I take so many screenshots as I develop websites this is a CONSTANT problem as I am constantly creating new documents from the clipboard to check alignments, zoom in to get color samples, and many other reasons.
I have an alignment label that I normally use to show the PVI's of a profile in the plan view.
This is a little unusual, but in a specific case I wanted to design my profile at one alignment, but show it at another. I designed my swale profile in the pathway profile view and then superimposed the swale profile on the swale profile view. I then went back to the swale alignment to add these labels.
It's a no-go AFAICT. The only profile available for me to select for these labels is the original ground profile from the surface.
I'm working with a structure profile label style and it seems like the only way to anchor the position of the label is based on offsets from the structure itself... Any way to position the label based on the top of the profile view, so that I could make all of my labels horizontally aligned above the profile view?

While creating this bandset I see that the text component editor properties only has code for profile 1 elevation and profile 2 elevation in the properties area, which the code for this looks like below.

Ive tried to write my own code using the profile 2 as an example but it doesnt seem to work as a 3rd surface/profile and only seems to mimic the profile 2 elevation when placed in the band
My questions are as follows
1) does Civil 3d only allow 2 surface elevations in any band set? if it does allow more profiles/surface elevations what am i missing to create it?
2) if Civil 3d does alow for multiple surfaces to be shown in the band set how do i get the text component editor to supply the extra profile elevation codes? or would i need to create from scratch
3) if i need to write the code from scratch does any listing of the codes and meanings of each code ie what does RN, Uft, Sn and so forth do and mean .
I have a group of profiles in a drawing and I want to change how one of the profiles is displayed through the profile view style manager, but I do not want to change how all of the profiles look. Is there a way to change the way a single profile looks without changing all of them?

View 3 Replies View RelatedI am working C3D 2012. I have a proposed alignment and profile design by another firm that I had to tranfer into C3D. I had no problem getting the horizontal alignment to display from a text file. I tried to do the same with the profile by using the 'create a text file and create the profile from file' command. I got the POB, PI's, and POE to display. I then defined the VC. I wanted to verifiy that the profile was indeed accurate compared to what we were provided. So I tried to execute a profile report PVI Station and Curve Report - I keep getting an error that "No FG profiles in dwg".
I know the Proposed profile is indeed set to proposed in the properties. I have noticed that the icon next to the profile I create from the text file is different than the profiles created from scratch.
Is there a way to convert this profile to be recognized as a FG profile?

I try to make curb return profile without profile view like a intersect command.
I was make curb return alignment but I can not find profile command without profile view.
The intersection wizard makes dynamic EOP profiles based off of the cross slope from the centerline. Well the intersection tool doesn't always work with funky intersection layouts. Is it possible to manually create a dynamic EOP profile based on the cross slope from the centerline profile?

I have yet to produce a profile. I created a polyline and turned it into an alignment.
Looking at alignment Sample(3), I see that it is not superimposed over your surface. The polylines are, but the alignment is not. That will disallow creation of a surface profile.
Is the sample5 an alignment that sits on the surface? how come there is still no profile?
