I just (re)installed Photoshop on my computer after a fresh install of Windows (damn that 2 year rule...) and now the color white on the screen comes out as a light yellow. When i save the files and view it in another program, or print it, it comes out as white, and the numbers (whatever they're called) are set to 255, 255, 255, yet it still comes out as a yellow.
View 8 RepliesI am using AutoCAD 08. I have been noticing that when I create a Multi-page PDF by creating a New Sheet Set. That some of the Items(Text, Numbers or Lines) in Paper Space are not appearing on the page that they should but instead appearing on the next page. In the location where it should be on the previous page. Is there a way to fix this bleed through or is there a better way to create a Multi-Page PDF other than what I have been doing?
View 0 Replies View RelatedI have three seperate catalogs on my desktop, each with different collections, clients etc. Generally I'll use 'import from another catalog' when I want to import a new shoot from my laptop. This works great, however sometimes I find that all of my smart collections from another catalog suddenly appear in the catalog that I am using e.g I'm using my Sculpture catalog, I import a new sculpture shoot. It imports and shows up fine but so does 20 smart collections from my Portfolio catalog. The 'alien' Portfolio smart collections obviously show as holding 0 images (as the images are where they should be - in the Portfolio catalog). Is it something to do with a preference file that all catalogs access?

View 17 Replies View RelatedThis just started happening and I don't know if I inadvertently have changed a setting. I open a file in Photoshop and the file is obviously open because I can see it in the history or layers panel. However it does not appear on the screen. I've tried changing my viewing and other things, and it just isn't there.
My only solution is to shut Photoshop down completely, reopen Photoshop and reopen the file. Very inconvenient.
Steps to reproduce:
1. Take a screenshot of something in your web browser (macintosh CMD+SHIFT+4) to the clipboard.
2. Select File > New from the menu. Clipboard should be the selected Preset.
3. Notice how in CS6 the color profile under "Advanced" is "Display" and NOT "sRGB" — in CS5 it is sRGB.
4. Paste from the clipboard into your new document and get the color profile mis-match warning if you are in CS6.
It is either not picking the color space of the clipboard properly like it will in CS5, or I am missing something somewhere.
Nothing I do in an attempt to fix this is working. I have sRGB set as my default profile in color settings, and nothing I do changes this setting for the "Clipboard" preset.
I am getting sick of forgetting to manually select "sRGB" every time, opening up a new document sized to my clipboard and then getting the color profile mismatch warning when I paste in the clipboard contents!
I take so many screenshots as I develop websites this is a CONSTANT problem as I am constantly creating new documents from the clipboard to check alignments, zoom in to get color samples, and many other reasons.
Everytime I select a color in Illustrator it has the "Out of gamut" warning and the color I want appears darker and different then how It looks in the preview of color picker. It is making the colors of my design really ugly. This problem also seems to be happening when I select a color in Indesign, but I'm not sure if this is caused by the same thing.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI Keep having this reoccuring problem today - white lines keep appearing attatched to certain & all layers in photoshop files that I have, the only solution that seems to get rid of them is to put a mask on the layer and mask the line away, these are appearing on text, smart objects & rastersized layers.
They were not there when I previously saved the file and they should not be there now, I then went to open another file I had and white lines started to appear on the files. This is really frustrating because some of the website documents have alot of layers. I have attatched an example below, they only appear to be 1 pixel and can range up to 2500pixels wide and they overlap making the line look thicker sometimes.
I'm trying to change the color palette of a sprite's gif in GIMP, but I can't get the bucket tool to put the right color in to each layer.
Here's a screenshot of the gif opened up in GIMP with only the first frame visible.
Next, I selected one of the colors in the frame.
Then, I clicked on the new foreground color and set the blue and green sliders to 0.
Then, I selected the Select By Color tool, and selected the area with the old color.
Last, I used the Bucket Fill tool (making sure that FG color fill and Fill whole selection were chosen on the left) to add the new color, but I got a completely different color in its place.
I've placed an rgb image and on top of that a vector square which I wanna give the same color as the bright green one in the rgb image. So I used the eyedropper tool on that bright green color. But as you can see it give a more dull greenish color. The document is in rgb mode. I would expect this more when I was working in cmyk but I ain't. Why isn't the eyedropper tool picking the bright green color? The image is in rgb, illustrator is in rgb, in photoshop I can see the bright green color in the rgb image. So why isn't illustrator using this bright green color with it's eyedropper tool?
Turns out the eyedropper tool only works correctly (while illustrator is in rgb color mode and the image placed is also in rgb), when the image placed is embedded and not just linked. After I dragged the image on the page and go to Links to have the image embedded and then use the eyedropper tool, I get the exact same color.
I created an action that:
Opens a psd document
resizes to a specific height
Saves for web and devices as a jpeg high quality
When I run the batch on that action it seems to be simply opening the psd document and saving as psd in the output folder, without converting to jpg.
I've been playing around with Exif orientation data, and CS4 always shows the orientation as "Normal" in File -> File Info. However, looking at the same EXIF information with other programs (e.g. Picasa), I see the appropriate rotation information, which is consistent with how I took the photos. Is this a bug in Photoshop CS4? I took the photos with an iPhone 4, by the way.
View 6 Replies View RelatedI selected all photos in a Tag in the Organizer then selected Create. No matter what I try to create, only about 1/3 of the selected photos appear in the project bin at the bottom of the page. I refreshed thumbnails for all photos and it still happens.
There are blank spaces with numeric filenames (not actual file names) between the thumbnails which display. When I double-click a blank, I get a message "Cannot open '[filename.extn]' because it is the wrong type of file." All of the files are jpgs edited in PSE. The only reference to this message I have found was a FAQ about Cannon files, but these are not.
Photoshop CS6, running on 2006 iMac, OS X 10.7.5. Opened a .tif file (which did not have a Date File Created in its file properties. Saved it as a .psd file using "save as". In Bridge, Date File Created shows 12/31/03 7:00:00 PM.

I don't know how it was generated and what to do to remove it.
I have recently installed X4 after using X3 for a number of years, and it was working fine until suddenly the color pallet has changed to harsh very bright almost unreal RGB-like colours. It is distorting all my work as I cannot see real colours, especially in Photopaint, so impossible to color edit.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI just bought a HP Designjet Z3100. And I can’t get the colors right. Everything looks great on the screen but then I print I get this ugly strong light green color. I have really tried different settings without success I have also tried X4 and X5 with the same result.
Everything is ok if I export the file to PDF and then print, but then I print from the cdr file its get very ugly.
I have the same problem with other printers but then I change the printer’s own settings to Saturation in the color settings.

PDF output = The same file as the CDR that looks good then I print it.
ugly green = This is how the print looks like (I get these colors then I use my Nitro PDF printer)
while working on a new file, which only has our 4 standard textstyles, something happened at some point during the work period where multiple textstyles named "AUDIT_1_12030....." and counting up appeared. over 40 of them.
they are all somehow embedded within the each object in the file, even lines, which confuses me. Noweven if i wanted to just copy most of the project excluding blocks, dims, leaders and text, (which was my original assumption that the textstyles were in there somewhere), I cant. I usually am able to remove unwanted textstyles through the TXTMRG LISP/VBA macro. It has no effect this time.
I created a new mtext leader and it is set to one scale of 1/4" it shows fine in model space and paper space. Then when edit my drawings to try to add hatch or dim. there is a large text that appears in the background.

I've got about 4 hours of work into solving the dreaded "Photoshop: CS6 saves in wrong file format on MacOS when trying to load obsolete plugins" (Aside: I don't suppose I can send Adobe an invoice for billable hours?? Naw, never happen.)
I could still not get CS6 PS to open and "save as" correctly. All of my plug-ins were current and the only linked ones were reinstalled after PS was updated. URL.... I saw multiple mentions of the "Standard Multiple Plugin" as a possible source of the problem. Found this file in /Library/ Application Support/Adobe/Plug-ins. (Mac OS X 10.7.5) Removed the file and PS does what it should: defaults to all file formats on open and allows any format to be selected on "save as."
Get Info identifies this file as an Adobe plugin ver. 12.0.2 created and modified 7/18/11 obviously well before I got CS6. It also shows an Adobe copyright (2003-2010) message so this is NOT a third party plugin, nor is it a bad symlink, nor is it an outdated 3rd party plugin. Since this was placed there by the Adobe install and not modified by the CS6 upgrade, I can only conclude that Adobe wanted it there.What - if anything- will happen without this file in place and if it is necessary where does one obtain a new one?
I did not copy any old plug-ins to the new program nor did I have any bad aliases nor did I have multiple copies of anything.
I have a new camera Nikon D7100 24 mg Pixels. Elements 10 says "wrong type of file" can not bring file into elements 10. My updates are current!

1.While opening any file an alert message is appearing on the screen, for closing the same I Have to use ( X) close many times.
2 After opening the file every time I have to set the AUTOcad default setting once again, it is taking too much time,
