Jun 18, 2013I have a new camera Nikon D7100 24 mg Pixels. Elements 10 says "wrong type of file" can not bring file into elements 10. My updates are current!

Jul 31, 2013After much work, and after I convert my Nikon D7100 NEF files to DNG, Camera Raw starts when I open the DNG file. What is very strange it that it indicates I am using Camera Raw 7.1 with a Nikon D7100 file.
(Strangely enough, I have not found a way to launch Camera Raw directly.)

Anyway, I have only 2 tools in camera raw: Basic and detail.
I absolutely need the chromatic aberration tool. And a few others would be great.
Where do I get this ? How do I install it ?

Feb 26, 2014I recently upgraded from a Nikon 7000 to a Nikon D7100 DSLR camera. Historically I was able to open and process NEF files in Photoshop Elements 9 from my D7000. But now it will not open those files. I clicked on the Update link and it says my version is fully updated. What do I have to do to be able to open these NEF files as I did before with those files from my D7000?

Feb 2, 2013For Nikon D50 cameras Adobe Creative Suite 6 does not read "As Shot" white balance data whether it's specified or not. It defaults to "Automatic". We have the problem only for Nikon D50 and only in Photoshop CS6, Adobe Camera Raw 7.3 and Photoshop Lightroom 4. (Not in CS5. Not for Nikon D5100 or D7000 or Canon S95) .

When I run the batch on that action it seems to be simply opening the psd document and saving as psd in the output folder, without converting to jpg.
Photoshop :: Wrong Type Of File Error Message
Mar 15, 2008I selected all photos in a Tag in the Organizer then selected Create. No matter what I try to create, only about 1/3 of the selected photos appear in the project bin at the bottom of the page. I refreshed thumbnails for all photos and it still happens.
There are blank spaces with numeric filenames (not actual file names) between the thumbnails which display. When I double-click a blank, I get a message "Cannot open '[filename.extn]' because it is the wrong type of file." All of the files are jpgs edited in PSE. The only reference to this message I have found was a FAQ about Cannon files, but these are not.

Jan 24, 2014I Just bought my Nikon D610 and had been using Elements 11 up to this point and was very hapoy with it. However I quickly learned that Elements 11 does not support the new RAW files and read that Element 12 does, so I purchased the upgrade. I am so dissapointed that after the download Elements is still not able to read the files. Did I just waste my money? Can you get the Camer RAW 8.3 plug in for Elements 12?
