Jan 4, 2014I'm using LIghtroom 5.3, and raw camera 8.3, the latest update available. I found from Adobe's site that this version supports D7100 raw image imports. But when trying to import D7100 raw images, I get a message that "the file is not recognized by the raw format support in LIghtroom."

Feb 18, 2014I have a Nikon D7100 with the card slots allocated for Raw (Slot 1) and JPEG (slot 2). When Importing I would like to convert the raw images in slot 1 to the Adobe DNG format and to have the JPEG images simply imported as JPEGs. I cannot find the correct combinations of preferences/options to make this happen. What happens today is the both images import with the second labeled as a -2 copy of the first image.

Jul 31, 2013After much work, and after I convert my Nikon D7100 NEF files to DNG, Camera Raw starts when I open the DNG file. What is very strange it that it indicates I am using Camera Raw 7.1 with a Nikon D7100 file.
(Strangely enough, I have not found a way to launch Camera Raw directly.)

Anyway, I have only 2 tools in camera raw: Basic and detail.
I absolutely need the chromatic aberration tool. And a few others would be great.
Where do I get this ? How do I install it ?

But now it will not open those files. I clicked on the Update link and it says my version is fully updated. Mar 23, 2013I have been using Lightroom 3 since 2011 and haven't had any trouble importing Nikon NEF files until today when I got an error message saying, "The follwing files were not imported because they could not be read." I tried importing from several different CF cards so I don't think they are the problem. And I'm using a D700 which is supported by LR3. I also tried uninstalling and reinstalling LR like some have suggested but I'm still getting the same error message.

The progress bar gets stuck on building smart previews and I see a greyed out box. When I choose one greyed out preview box and go into develop then the preview appears and I can edit the image.
