Sep 17, 2013My PSE11 will not recognize/convert RAW images from new Nikon D7100 despite trying to download PSE update. Have had NO prior problem with RAW using D80.

May 26, 2013LR 2.7 does not bring up images from Nikon D7100 which I have just purchased. I have downloaded latest DNG raw converter 7.4 but does not work. The images come through fine in Bridge but not Lightroom.

Jul 31, 2013After much work, and after I convert my Nikon D7100 NEF files to DNG, Camera Raw starts when I open the DNG file. What is very strange it that it indicates I am using Camera Raw 7.1 with a Nikon D7100 file.
(Strangely enough, I have not found a way to launch Camera Raw directly.)

Anyway, I have only 2 tools in camera raw: Basic and detail.
I absolutely need the chromatic aberration tool. And a few others would be great.
Where do I get this ? How do I install it ?

But now it will not open those files. I clicked on the Update link and it says my version is fully updated. What do I have to do to be able to open these NEF files as I did before with those files from my D7000?

When Importing I would like to convert the raw images in slot 1 to the Adobe DNG format and to have the JPEG images simply imported as JPEGs. I cannot find the correct combinations of preferences/options to make this happen. What happens today is the both images import with the second labeled as a -2 copy of the first image.

HW & SW: Nikon 3200: Apple MacBook Pro OS v. 10.8.5, Adobe Photoshop Elements 11, Adobe Lightroom 5, Adobe DNG Converter
I had a Nikon D60 and used a removable card to store images. No problem. One week ago, I bought a Nikon D3200 and still use the same memory cards I had used with the D60. I have taken about 100 pictures in Aperture, Shutter and Automatic mode, all in RAW format.
Am using Nikon Transfer to import the images from the card to the MacBook.
Photoshop will open JPEG images captured from the D3200 in the JPEG format, but not those captured in RAW format.
I can preview the images on the D3200, but when I download to the Mac, the images do not open in Photoshop Elements 11, or in Adobe DNG 8.2, or in Adobe Lightroom 5.
Photoshop failure message is: “Could not complete your request because the file appears to be from a camera model which is not supported by the installed version of Camera Raw. Please visit the Camera Raw documentation for additional information.”
DNG Converter failure message is: “The source folder does not contain any supported camera raw files.”
Adobe Lightroom failure message is: “The files are not recognized by the raw format support in Lightroom.”
I have downloaded most recent versions of Adobe Camera Raw and Adobe DNG. I have also uninstalled and then reinstalled Adobe Photoshop Elements 11. When I try to open or import the images, the same failure messages occur.

The error I get when trying to open in PSE 12 states that the file I am trying to open appears to be from a camera that is not supported by the installed version of camera raw. How can I open my raw images in this program? If I cannot and will not be able to, how can I get reimbursed?
