Photoshop Elements :: Using Nikon D5200 NEF Images In PSE
Mar 22, 2013
I currently have PSE8 which will not read the NEF images from my Nikon D5200. I know that I can use the Adobe DNG Convertor 7.3 to convert them to DNG outside of PSE8 then work with the DNG images in PSE8. if possible, to work directly with the NEF images as a plugin. URL..
Q1 - Based on the above am I therefore correct that it is not currently possible to use Nikon D5200 NEF images directly in any currently available PSE?
Q2 - Whether its likely in the next version of PSE? Or would I have to save up for the full Photoshop program to do what I want?
I am currently using PSE 10 and have just upgraded my camera to a Nikon d5200 from a d5100. I cannot open the raw files for the d5200. Do I need a more up to date PSE or which plug in update I require.
I am trying to edit several RAW images in PSE 11 on my new PC running Windows 8.1.
When I try to open one of the images from my Nikon d5200, I see a pop up that says I need Camera Raw documentation. I assume that this means a download. Looked at the list available & did not find one
I have CS5 and have downloaded the DNG raw convertor 7.4 but it doesnt convert all the files in a folder and I am in a mess - my new camera Nikon D5200 is not supported in CS5 I was looking to upgrade to CS6 but cant find a genuine product anywhere
I have been using Lightroom 3.6 for a few years.I recently bought a Nikon D5200. I shoot exclusively in RAW. When I tried to import my RAW images, a message says it does not recognize the Nikon D5200. I tried converting my setting to import as DNG and it still doesn't work. Am I going to have to purchase a more recent version of Lightroom?
just bought the Nikon D5200 and i always shot in RAW but have now found after my first shot with the new camera that Lightroom 4.3 wont support Raw Files from this camera
Recently purchased Elements 11 and cannot load Raw images from also recently purchased Nikon D600. Is there a download and if so where is it and how does it work?
HW & SW: Nikon 3200: Apple MacBook Pro OS v. 10.8.5, Adobe Photoshop Elements 11, Adobe Lightroom 5, Adobe DNG Converter
I had a Nikon D60 and used a removable card to store images. No problem. One week ago, I bought a Nikon D3200 and still use the same memory cards I had used with the D60. I have taken about 100 pictures in Aperture, Shutter and Automatic mode, all in RAW format.
Am using Nikon Transfer to import the images from the card to the MacBook.
Photoshop will open JPEG images captured from the D3200 in the JPEG format, but not those captured in RAW format.
I can preview the images on the D3200, but when I download to the Mac, the images do not open in Photoshop Elements 11, or in Adobe DNG 8.2, or in Adobe Lightroom 5.
Photoshop failure message is: “Could not complete your request because the file appears to be from a camera model which is not supported by the installed version of Camera Raw. Please visit the Camera Raw documentation for additional information.”
DNG Converter failure message is: “The source folder does not contain any supported camera raw files.”
Adobe Lightroom failure message is: “The files are not recognized by the raw format support in Lightroom.”
I have downloaded most recent versions of Adobe Camera Raw and Adobe DNG. I have also uninstalled and then reinstalled Adobe Photoshop Elements 11. When I try to open or import the images, the same failure messages occur.
My PSE11 will not recognize/convert RAW images from new Nikon D7100 despite trying to download PSE update. Have had NO prior problem with RAW using D80.
From the website, it states that PSE12 would be compatible with camera raw plug in through version 8.3, which my camera requires. The error I get when trying to open in PSE 12 states that the file I am trying to open appears to be from a camera that is not supported by the installed version of camera raw. How can I open my raw images in this program? If I cannot and will not be able to, how can I get reimbursed?
I recently upgraded to the Nikon D600. With that, I’m unable to open RAW images in the programs that I currently have (PS Elements 9). Does Photoshop Elements 11 have the correct software (Camera Raw 7 and higher)? Or will I need to get the full version Photoshop CS6?
I 'm running some images from a model show through CS, they were shot with a Nikon camera. The images on my hard drive are colorful just as I see it in CS. When I upload them to my webserver, they lose saturation. Unfortunatly I can't attach a pic here only link from my site. I don't know if I'm saving the pics the wrong way? Or does the color profile have something to do with it?
I just shot my first batch of RAW images using the new Nikon D800. When I downloaded the images using Bridge the thumbnails in the download dialog shows the images. But after download the images are not being shown. Instead I get an icon. If I double click on an image I get a message that camera RAW doesn't recognize the file and a recommendation to update.
I have checked updates from within Bridge and from Photoshop and both tell me that everything is up to date. Photoshop tells me the camera RAW plug in is 6.6 and that is the latest shown on the Adobe download page. According the the information page 6.6 is compatible with the D800.
LR 2.7 does not bring up images from Nikon D7100 which I have just purchased. I have downloaded latest DNG raw converter 7.4 but does not work. The images come through fine in Bridge but not Lightroom.
GIMP won't recognize images I downloaded using Nikon Transfer. They are in the Pictures library and a Nikon Transfer file shows with everything else when I click File Open, but I can't bring them up to work on in a normal way. I was able to physically move one of the images, listed as DSC, from Nikon Transfer to the Gimp window and modify it normally, but the image was very tiny in a full-screen Gimp window, (which lately I can't permanently get back to the normal size). Saved the image as xcf and jpg and placed in a new file, but still can't work on it.
I have Lightroom 3 version 3.6 installed on my MacBook. I just upgraded to OS X10.8.2. Now when I try to import raw images from my Nikon D3100 camera I get images to preview but after I select images to import and then select "import" I receive error messages and then a notice that there are no images to import. The import function then totally shuts down.
I also just downloaded the most current version of Java Run. How do I fix this problem?
