Nov 14, 2011I want to setup my camera, Nikon D5100, for pole aerial photography. I want to have the ability to connect my laptop to the camera up on the pole so I can adjust zoom, etc.
Can I achieve this with Lightroom?

How do you share (e-mail) NEF files shot with a Nikon D5100 that have been downloaded into Adobe Photoshop Lightroom 4.4.? Isn't there someway to convert to JPEG for sharing. I have 50th wedding anniversary photos taken and want to share with family and can't.

Must I purchase the PS upgrade (about $179) to CS5 or can I open the NEFs without additional purchase? Aug 12, 2012GIMP won't recognize images I downloaded using Nikon Transfer. They are in the Pictures library and a Nikon Transfer file shows with everything else when I click File Open, but I can't bring them up to work on in a normal way. I was able to physically move one of the images, listed as DSC, from Nikon Transfer to the Gimp window and modify it normally, but the image was very tiny in a full-screen Gimp window, (which lately I can't permanently get back to the normal size). Saved the image as xcf and jpg and placed in a new file, but still can't work on it.

Oct 18, 2012As I have done for years I shoot in RAW and use Nikon transfer to load images from the card to my laptop and external drive. AFter I sort the images by subject I import them to Lightroom for the final touches. Not so with Lightroom 4.2 and Nikon D600..Adobe says if yousue transfer than 4.2 will not recognize the files and too bad ...as a company they are going downhill..I hope they correct the problem so I can import the 1500 images into Lightroom for final conversions.

select image, right click to "edit in", then selected "open as a smart object in ps" and then PS opens BUT no image is in it..I have checked for updates but it says it's all good. I have also tried just "edit in PS CS3" but same thing!

The only change was that I upgraded to 4.4 recently. Feb 2, 2013I have Lightroom 3 version 3.6 installed on my MacBook. I just upgraded to OS X10.8.2. Now when I try to import raw images from my Nikon D3100 camera I get images to preview but after I select images to import and then select "import" I receive error messages and then a notice that there are no images to import. The import function then totally shuts down.
I also just downloaded the most current version of Java Run. How do I fix this problem?

I had initially hoped that the move from LR 4.x to LR 5 would improve things but this wasn't the case - so when will Adobe finally catch up with the development in cameras with ever bigger files? The Nikon D800 came out one full year ago...

It looks fine in the develop pane, but when I move to library module the sharpening and spot removal disappear (and reappear when I switch back to develop). The exported images are the same as the view in Library mode. How do I get the exported images to have the sharpening and spot removal that I've done in develop?

Example, I type Los Angeles and get: Angeles, Los
Nothing I try works. I know it is common since I imported 200,000 images and I see lots of word combos used as keywords.
