CorelDRAW Graphics Suite X3 :: Wrong Color On HP Designjet Z3100
Aug 29, 2011
I just bought a HP Designjet Z3100. And I can’t get the colors right. Everything looks great on the screen but then I print I get this ugly strong light green color. I have really tried different settings without success I have also tried X4 and X5 with the same result.
Everything is ok if I export the file to PDF and then print, but then I print from the cdr file its get very ugly.
I have the same problem with other printers but then I change the printer’s own settings to Saturation in the color settings.
I have uploaded some files to: [URL] ...
CDR file = This is one example of the files I can’t print.
PDF output = The same file as the CDR that looks good then I print it.
ugly green = This is how the print looks like (I get these colors then I use my Nitro PDF printer)

I have recently installed X4 after using X3 for a number of years, and it was working fine until suddenly the color pallet has changed to harsh very bright almost unreal RGB-like colours. It is distorting all my work as I cannot see real colours, especially in Photopaint, so impossible to color edit.

If you take blend tool to gate one color to other or same or gray scale it give correct result. But if you use New color style and new gradient it show wrong effect in CMYK.

I import dxf file created in CadKey or SolidWorks. I have done this thousands of times but all of a sudden they do not import in the correct orientation x/y plane. They appear to be importing on the edge. I have gone back to old dxf files that have worked perfectly in the past and they no longer import correctly.
Have I, unknowingly, changed some setting on Corel that effects the import of dxf files?

I have been using CorelDRAW 12 and 13 for about 7 years. I have a new problem. It's only become apparent recently, and I think it could be related to my recent change to Win7 from XP.
When I publish a file to pdf the colours do not translate properly. I use a lot of pantone colours, as I do fashion illustrations and textile designs, and for that reason it is important that my clients receive accurate colours.
Lately the colours have been coming up wrong. For example a green/blue aqua colour came up as a very darkish sky blue colour. Brown looked navy. All colours are either off or completely wrong. If I print from the cdr file, however, the colours are fine.

I'm using CorelDraw X5 to generate the eps file for my thesis, written in LaTex. When I draw a vertical arrow, an then export the draw in eps format, the arrowhead is pointing the wrong direction (left - right and not up-down), and this is always the case. If I open again the .cdr file, everything is correct.
I had the opportunity to try also CorelDraw X3, and the same behavior appears.
Have you ever experienced it? It is actually quite annoying because I have to fix all the eps images containing vertical arrows with ink scape, but it is time consuming.

I don't know if this is just a Windows 8 compatibility issue, but when I save an edited photo it is stored in whatever orientation I opened it. Also the thumbnails only show the original imported image, not the edited image.
For instance if I took a picture in a sideways orientation on my smart phone then opened it in PPX5 I can rotate, edit and save and it will show the original image in a sideways orientation. If I post the image on Facebook it will show up sideways. If I put it on a forum it may look okay but people with iPads and iPhones see it sideways.

Is there a way to apply a color to selected objects without having to search for the color in the color palette. So say if I am working with an image that has multiple colors but want to use only one of the colors in that image, is there a way to apply it without having to create or add it to the palette.

I still use Corel Draw 12 and my question is is there an easy or automatic way to make the outline color of an object the same color as the fill color? I do it the hard way of trial and error until I get the right outline color from the color dock/pallette.

I'm having a major issue here, I use custom colors (created in my custom palette), X^ used to hold it very nicely, even in PDF exports etc.
Now - with the latest update, X6 "forgets" the custom colors, it resets it to default color, I have to manually set every object to the custom color all over again.

Is there anyway to transform a 4-color CorelDraw picture into a 2-color one at reasonably good quality?
The problem I met is at the galley.
I could, or might, only be able to get a 2-color printer at reasonably good price.
The original design is 4-color. But the actual detail is not very important.
They are book covers, which only need to protect the book.
The exported picture is shown below:

To create 2-color artwork from any colored vector clipart I used to be able to:
import colored clipart convert to CMYK if needed select entire graphic and create new styles with 2 parents change (edit) the colored parent to a named Pantone spot color (the child colors automatically become percentages of the Pantone spot color) "find and change" the remaining CMYK to Grayscale, and then back to CMYK (this ignors the spot color and converts the annoying rich blacks to percentages of K) export to a PDF file--which when imported into, say, InDesign, will separate on the K and Spot Color Plates only, in all its glorious shades of gray and tints of Pantone spot color.
I'm completely at a loss on how to do this in X6, and I'm on a short deadline.

Although automatic rotating is on, the HP plotter DesignJet 500 plus uses the paper wasting method.
In the layout preview of Civil 3D 2012 the result looks good, but I need one meter of the paper roll for this plot.

Yesterday CD upgraded itself as I turned it of to go home from work, when starting it the day after all seemed to be as it was util I should print out a color separation. Suddenly I now have to check every color that I want to print out, the only color that doesn't need to be checked is black(cmyk black) all pantoen colors have to be checked.
Why is this changed?
Can I set it up so all colors is to be printed as default?
Also having some trouble in exporting to EPS, when exporting all seems fine, but the file appears to be empty, the next exported files seems to be fine thou. First export is always empty.

For our sublimation printing, we use Corel X3,
For some time we have problems with the colors.
As standard pallette we use Pantone Coated, but after I export a .cdr to .eps some colors are replaced with a new color with the same name, when I open it in Coreldraw again afterwards. The colors are placed in a new user pallette and have different CMYK values.
How knows how to keep my PMS coated pallete?

I know there must be a way to change the colors of multiple objects without doing each one manually. But I am not finding the instruction. Say I have 17 parts of a drawing that are blue, and decide I'd rather have them blue/green.

I'm just checking back in to see any updates on how to quickly and easily clear all color styles in a document. I've tried the following:
Os's nifty color styles patch (comes with recentfilesDecBeta macro)
saving as CMX (that bites because it converts underscores to objects and other mean things)
manually (takes too long and sometimes replaces colors in current document then save settings as default (I not like this).

When I open or import a DWG into CorelDraw X6 it changes the colors (see image).
I tried changing the Color Management Settings to Minimal Color Management which is suppose to preserve the original color when opening, importing, and pasting, but that doesn't work.

I'm working with CorelDRAW 12 and am having trouble with a frustrating issue. If I create a logo from my work computer, using pantone colours and everything, the colours are really rich and vibrant. When I open that very same file in Corel at my house computer, however, all the colours display in a pastel, watered down way.
My home monitor is much better than my work one, and if I export the file from work into a .png it still displays as it should, rich and vibrant, when I open that on my home computer. However, if I leave the pantone colours as they are but export it from my house... it then keeps it as the pastel, watered down version on every single monitor. How do I fix this? Is this a monitor issue or a CorelDRAW problem - have I somehow not set up my Corel the same at home?
