How do you people constantly attach images to your posts? The feature only way I can see allows up to 768000 bytes, and I can't for the life of me get an image (.jpg) down to that little... do you guys use some compression program, or does the size limit increase by posts or something? I'm having problems posting stuff in other threads, so I thought I'd ask. ^^

i open a image file in Photoshop CS4 it looks all jumbled and has diagnol lines going through it. Even when i open just a blank file it has a huge black triangle going through it.

whenever i edit an image with gimp and try to view it in mobile phone ,it's not displaying. it's really a weird problem ...i have tried editing using other softwares such as krita and photoshop and they display correctly. I have also tried editing using gimp 2.6 and it also works fine .
Not sure what happened but my vector images are coming out really low res...

There seems to be a minor bug in Lightroom (since version 3): If I have no filter enabled and click on the little arrow next to a keyword, I get a result that is unrelated to the keyword. If I click it again, it works. So it seems that the feature was only tested with the metadata filter already switched on.

We've discovered that the JPG image does not display in Inventor View (which our co-workers use to view/print drawings).
Just installed X6 and tried CONNECT for the first time and it doesn't display the thumbnails of the vector images only bitmaps etc.. Any way to correct that?
View 7 Replies View RelatedI've run in to a strange problem since the 4.1 upgrade.When displayed in the Library view, images are not appearing correctly. In my case, there is a huge amount more noise in the Library view compared to the Develop view. This is also affecting Exports.
View 7 Replies View RelatedMy old laptop tried to self-destruct, so I was forced to move a huge amount of art files to a new laptop. Now, I have no thumbnails in Photoshop (PS3 using XP Professional) and oddly enough, it appears that often entire folders and files aren't showing up when they're actually there. The only thing I'm seeing is the PSD logo. .tifs, .jpgs, and other formats aren't even showing up as being on the disk.
I've gone through all settings that I know of and can't seen to find the 'fix'.
My classroom is running CS5. We just started working in Photoshop. Tool Tips only display for a few minutes, then stop working. Show Tool Tips is checked in preferences. How can I get Tool Tips to work consistently? I have read some info about an update called 12.0.3 and one called 12.0.4.

View 4 Replies View RelatedWhen I Save For Web the color shifts. It becomes more vibrant (which I would prefer...). I have reset the settings for photoshop followed by a uninstall/install of photoshop and am still getting the color shift. I got new monitors somewhat recently but set up the color profile via adobe gamma's thing ( I had to download that seperatly, I couldn't find it in the Control Panel).I don't think it's the color profile of the monitor because everything else seems fine. I have never had to use any of the settings for color management before so I've never opened those (I've hit Ctrl+y on occassion on accidnet..) Here is a jpg of the difference(of course it's been processed 2x..so it's a little bit more vibrant but it's still visible)I included the settings I have in the jpg.
View 5 Replies View RelatedI am a Fireworks user who fears the discontinuation now that adobe has acquired macromedia so I'm finally gunna learn photoshop.
I downloaded the try-out version of PS CS2 and loaded up a photo but it displays incredibly dark, and no amount of messing with edit->color is fixing it.
If I view the image in fireworks, or just in windows xp default image display, the colors are fine. When I load the image in PS, it is extremely dark.
It is not my monitor. I downloaded PS and put it on my other computer and the colors displayed fine - not dark at all.

No matter what I do it looks dark. This is extremely strange. It is not my monitor - as images look fine outside PS, ane they continue to look dark even if I switch the monitor to a CRT.
I've done several uninstalls of PS and reinstalled.

When i change the bits from the standard 8bit (and 16bit) it displays the colors wrong - HOWEVER when i make the file 32bit - it displays correctly!? Why?

When opening a photo with some bright yellows in the foreground, the yellows all become "hot", and show up like it's some sort of a filter being applied. This is making it impossible to work with the photo & make adjustments in the Camera RAW lab. The same thing does not happen when the photo is opened to "edit" directly (versus working with it in Camera RAW lab).Â

When I open some files, some shades of BLUE colour is displayed as BLACK However the same file opens and displays correctly if I open it using Photoshop Elements V9.0.3.When I save the file as JPEG and re-open it, the problem returns.Opening the JPEG file in any other application, including PS Elements, does not cause the problem

Source of files The original files came from a Nikon camera, saved in RAW format. It is possible that the original files were corrupted in some way as the shots had an unusual blue cast - which was easily resolved by Photoshop when I originally opened the RAW files.problem is not universal as I've not been able to reproduce it with any other files (RAW or JPEG).

I like to have Bridge set up to display the Metadata for each image, and when I view the metadata, it is not as complete as what I see in the CS5 version of Bridge.

Specifically, I like to be able to see the Subject Distance, which is recorded for the camera/lens combination I'm using. In Bridge CS5, the Subject Distance displays just fine, but it is completely absent in CS6.

Also, I like to see the ISO as well. In Bridge CS5, it shows nicely as "ISO Speed Ratings" while in Bridge CS6, it shows as "(ISO) Photographic Sensitivity" - kind of excessive.

To verify this, I made sure *all* metadata options were chosen to display, but Subject Distance is not showing up anywhere, and the ISO is a bit wordy.

How to get it to display Subject Distance, which is contained in the metadata.
I cannot see my photo in my display/work area when I open one, what could be causing this? It displays that a photo is open in my layers panel, but I can see nothing on my screen.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI downloaded an image of a web template to look at the colours more closely before possibly purchasing it and when I opened the image in CS4 it had a bunch of triangular blocked out areas - kind of like a mask of some sort I think. I then tried creating a new document and opening an existing, unrelated PSD file and now they have the same triangular blocked out areas.Â
View 4 Replies View RelatedI am creating a website template which usually consists of a HEADER, FOOTER, (perhaps a LEFT, RIGHT) and a CONTENT center region. What I am CURRENTLY been doing is the following:
Let's say I am working on a Decoder page called Decoder.psd and in order to create the website layout, I create 5 folders in the layers pallete which contain the contents of each region of the layout.
1. HEADER
2. FOOTER
3. LEFT
4. RIGHT
5. CONTENT
Now SURE I can ignore the header, footer... but it makes it MUCH EASIER to work with designing wise when I can see exactly what the finish product will look like in realtime in the same screen. Unfortuntely there is a DISADVANTAGE to this which hense the reason for this posting. If I decide I want to change something in the ie. Header and footer design, I would have to edit each of the psd files individually and basically copy/paste the HEADER and FOOTER layer pallete folders so each of my template pages are updated.
What I am wonder is if there is a way to have say a DECODER.PSD file which only had the contents of the decoder deisgn in the layers pallete, and then be able to SHOW other layer contents (or perhaps just the end result) of another psd file in the design workspace?
Similar to how a FRAME would work in html. You have each layout seperated into individual html files (in this case individual psd files for each part of the layout regions) and DISPLAY other html pages (in this case, other psd contents) in specific areas of the page (In this case the workspace).
I just installed CS4 on a lovely new Dell notebook with WUXGA display (1920x1200) and am having a problem that I have never seen before. When the brush tip is small (up to 35 px at 100%)Â I see the entire circle defining it, but as I move into larger and larger tip sizes the circle starts to disappear from the bottom right, becoming just a smaller and smaller circular fragment until it disappears entirely at around 300 px. If I select the center crosshair, this also disappears around 200px (when only a small circular crescent is left), and then reappears at around 400px (minus any trace of the circle). It is obviously some sort of display issue: if I change the image size the behavior is the same when the circle is the same size onscreen, so it is the display size and not the absolute pixel size which determines it. This happens whether I choose normal or full-size tip. Has anyone experienced this? It is not only annoying, it is positively serious, since at certain sizes I cannot even tell where or how large the brush is. Clear type on or off makes no difference. I have not noticed any odd display behavior with any other program.

When I copy and paste the text into Photoshop, certain characters are missed out or replaced with an incorrect one. I have tried downloading fonts that support the Greek character set, but still no luck. If I paste this text into any other applications (Word, explorer etc) the text displays properly. I was wandering if there is a setting or anything in photoshop that I need to change?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have installed Elements 12 and successfully indexed my media files and performed facial recognition, however now in the organiser, not all files are displaying.  Some are and others come up with an image like a broken link (See image). All the photos are fine (not corrupted) and can be viewed by other media viewers.
