I'm using Cad and i'm trying to get a floorplan drawing into Lightscape 2007. The CAD drawing appears fine when loaded into Lightscape 2012, but because of the project we have to use Lightscape 2007. Unfortunately only parts of the floorplan appear when loaded into Lightscape 2007, I've played around with layers, I've saved it as the earliest version of CAD that I can and nothing works. How to load a CAD drawing into Lightscape 2007?
I’ve just worked on a series of clients drawing using AutoCad 2009. They are using AutoCad 2013. out of 20 or so drawings several drawings when opening with 2013 open up with Errors requesting recovery is required due to any number of errors ranging from 3 to 7 on average. The error message asks [yes] to recover and it aborts or [no] to continue and the drawing opens ok without further error. If I recover the drawings, and save-as 2013 or other, the same errors appear regardless. However if I open the same drawings using my version of 2009, I didn’t get any errors. The original drawings were compatible with 2009 without conversion.
My place of work recently changed from Autocad 2007 to Autocad 2013 (big jump.. i know), when we try to plot old drawings the .ctb files that were used in 2007 now says missing beside it. We also only have a few options in regards to .ctb files, whereas in older versions we had hundreds to choose from. Any function to get our old .ctb files back or where to download them?
I have a small office and 2 of the associates are using autocad lt 2014 1 is using 2013 and I am using 2007. Up until a few months ago we were all on 2007.
Now when I open drawings from the 2007 version, I cannot see some of the text. I have tried the following: Checking layers to make sure they are onChecking font to make sure they are availabemaking sure annonotation is visiblemaking sure proxy graphics are onMaking a block of just the drawing objects and opening that I am not that familiar with 2014, so I cannot figure out what is happening. Note - when i look at the drawing in the preview window, I can see the text. But when I open it, it is not there. If I save in 2014, the text no longer shows up in the preview.
I just completed my first topo using Civil3D 2013 (yay!) and now I want to send it to a client. However, when I save it as an ACAD 2007 file and go to open it using ACAD 2007 the spot elevations and all text and symbols associated with them disappear. I can't imagine that you have to have Civil3D to view a Civil3D file. Is there something I can do here?
I did not create a survey database with these points, just imported the .txt file from the field.
Had a system crash. I had Norton 360 using a slave HD as my automatic backup source. To reinstall windows, master HD was overwritten. I thenfound out Norton 360 didn't save my autocad files to the slave HD. Their definition of "other files" didn't cover dwg files unless you did an extremely detailed setup process, which, was not in the Norton instructions. Anyways, local computer service was able to recover about 60% of the "lost" autocad files.
Of those recovered files, about 60% will not open up. Only get a message "not a valid file" The file details show its an autocad file, its size, and the last date of revison.
Convert a GPS file (.ssf)? I am attempting to do this by converting the .ssf file, which contains GPS data point information into a DXF file. Then from the DXF file, I tried opening in AutoCadd Lt 2007, but nothing shows up on my screen. There are no layers turned on, frozen and I did a zoom extents, but its as if there is nothing in the file??? I was thinking that maybe I should try converting the .ssf GPS file into a DXF and then placing it into an DGN file.

my user has AutoCAD Inventor 2010 and she wants to open a file created using AutoCAD 2007 but always failed with the error message that system running on low memory then Autocad will close. The file can be open without problem using AutoCAD 2007. I'd tried using a computer with Xeon Processor and 4 GB RAM but still facing the same problem so I guessed it's not the hardware problem. Is it a bug and how to solve it?
Had a crash eariler today and saved the A.R.M. file through the dialog box. Where again does it save to or what file type is it? I've searched the Corel Program folder but don't see it, isn't it in the user folder or some temp folder for CorelDraw?
I was subject to a 10 minute power outage and lost the computer. when power returned, I tried to recover my corelDraw X4 file. No Luck. Inspite of the "backup" being scheduled every 5 minutes. the one backup file was 1 hour old. The documentation said that the CorelDraw system stored a recovery file elsewhere and that I should go to the "File Recovery Dialog Box and "Click" the recovery file. Where is this "File Recovery Dialog Box" ?
So my time has come and I have just been bitten by the Illegal Operand failure upon opening a document. The doc was created in AiCS3 but I'm trying to follow the recovery procedure in AiCS6, described here: URL>....The problem is that at step 3 when I'm holding down the three keys, and hitting Open, Windows 7 is triggering the country suffix behavior and appends the country code to the selected file name, in my case - .pl. This makes my file selection invalid (myfile.ai.pl). I guess this comes from a web browser (I have almost all of them installed).
What lead the file to corruption was the spiral tool. WHen I drew the shape, all of a sudden the entire pasteboard (usually filled with dense, tiny checkerboard pattern) got filled with the stroke or fill color. I saved the file and that was it.
i accidentally Shift+Del a folder with my AEP's in it. i used a data recovery program to recover those files. now when trying to open them i get this error:
Unable to import file "..." as project (bad format or not readable)i kind of got my hopes up while using the recovery program, can this error be worked around or is the file stuffed ?
I have created a .png file using AI (CS6) for a friend. She cannot get the file to insert into any software programs she has. I am having no problem doing so, and I have got a few people to test it for me. It appears that it could be a MS 2007 thing. how to create a .png file that will insert for her?
I have successfully saved my file, shut down Photoshop without incident, and yet upon opening CS6 it starts opening the latest autorecovery file. I need to have autorecovery on for the work loss protection it provides, but it can get confusing to have an Autorecovery file open instead of the file I had meant to open. ( This is also happening on a colleague's computer.)
I'm running Mac OS X version 10.8.3 2x2.66 GHz 6-Core Intel Xeon 64 GB 1333 MHz DDR3 CS6 Version 13.0.4
It's happened several times with a variety of files. They are all Grayscale layered PSB's, in the 1.5 - 3 GB range.
I'm trying to import a powerpoint 2007 file in X4, but coreldraw says that it doesn't support pptx format. the pdf of the powerpoint created is not upto the mark. my file contains flowcharts. I tried using the office pdf maker [the microsoft one] and doPDF 7 to create pdfs which were of bad quality. I want to import the shapes as vector which ain't happening
I have been migrating dozens and dozens of .pat files from one version of AutoCAD to the next for many, many versions. Most recently in AutoCAD 2013 the .pat files were stored in the C:Program FilesAutodeskAutoCAD 2013SupportPatterns - worked fine. During the migration to 2014 I received an install error report stating that this subdirectory did not exist and could not be created. Alternately it stated that the new default path C:UsersUsernameAppDataRoamiongAutodesk|AutoCAD 2014R19.1enuSupport will be used instead.
At first I created the Patterns subdirectory where it could not be done automatically. No luck. Then I placed the Patterns subdirectory in C:UsersUsernameAppDataRoamiongAutodesk|AutoCAD 2014R19.1enuSupportPatterns and no luck.
Trying to utilize a .sid file within Standard AutoCAD 2013, all suggestions point to an Object Enabler but notice that for 2013 all are for Civil 3D, Plant...
The "X"'s in the minimize, maximize, close space are missing from drawings and the recovery manager. I have to close Acad and restart to get them to reappear.
I had a hdd crash, I took the hdd to data recovery and they did recover something but some of the important dwg files are invalid.
From my understanding, computers use two files: pagefile.sys and hiberfil.sys to store data used at a given time, for quick access (and other reasons). I have these files from the broken hdd but I don't know how to open them.
How they can be opened? How to successfully recover dwg files from them? the computer does it all the time so there must be a way.
