This is going to be a pain for users. I can't see a way to add a folder as a trusted source in LT.
Using 2011.
I have lists of Documents I am altering and saving automatically in a loop, The problem is that if the file needs to be migrated you get a dialog box in your face for every file in the list. How can I temporarally turn the dialog off?
ThisApplication.SaveOptions.PromptSaveForMigration = False
Does not do it.
Is there any way to turn off auto-recovery in LR4 2012 process engine? When shooting on white seamless, I gradually bring up the background lights until I see the raw file just blowing out as I want it, at my shooting aperture. With LR4 and auto-recovery - using this method of 'metering' if you like - I'm adding 2-3 extra stops of light than I would expect before this happens, which then gives me wrap around and flare problems. I'd like to take back control of this, so I'm not guessing where my pure white is any more..

View 1 Replies View RelatedSo, I got a bad drawing from a vendor today, which locked up autocad. Now, each time I start, it tries to "auto recover" and gets hung again.
Is there a way to start Autocad in "safe mode" or something similar?
Had a system crash. I had Norton 360 using a slave HD as my automatic backup source. To reinstall windows, master HD was overwritten. I thenfound out Norton 360 didn't save my autocad files to the slave HD. Their definition of "other files" didn't cover dwg files unless you did an extremely detailed setup process, which, was not in the Norton instructions. Anyways, local computer service was able to recover about 60% of the "lost" autocad files.
Of those recovered files, about 60% will not open up. Only get a message "not a valid file" The file details show its an autocad file, its size, and the last date of revison.
I have a few viewport on a drawing and when I hit Print I get the following warning:
" some viewports do not fit the right zoom conditions. Do you want to update them before plotting"
It then proceeds to print correct.
What is the reason for this error message and how do I get rid of it?
How to get rid of this warning dialog:
It appears at startup. I recently installed software (Simtra PathPlanner) that works with AutoCAD that may have caused this.
Using AutoCAD 2012 on Windows 7 64-bit.
The user is running Autocad 2010, and she was able to perform this function last week. Nothing has changed, and a system reboot did not correct the issue.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI've been having a problem with my AutoCAD LT 2010 completely deleting files after I have saved them and closed them. There is no file in the recovery manager, no back up file, nothing. It has happened three times without warning and it always happens to files I've been working on for awhile and have opened and closed multiple times. Is there any way to recover these files and how do I keep it from happening again?

View 8 Replies View RelatedA selection box has appeared out of no where in AutoCAD 2011. Whenever I enter a command then select an object a dialogue box called 'selection' appears with a list of possible objects for me to select.
It is extremely annoying. I have attempted to turn it off in options> setting but nothing seems to turn it off.
Something I did today now causes "2D Frame" to appear near the upper edge of an active Viewport.
I can't draw a line under it, I can't do any command under it.
I hoped that VISUALSTYLESCLOSE would stop it.
It doesn't.
I've unlocked the Viewport.
I've Regenerated.
All the User Interfaces choice are unchecked.

In Inventor dwgs when I turn the visibility of the harness assembly off (the icon turns gray) the harness still remains visible in the View on the dwg. My co-worker is having the same problem. This is happening on several different inventor dwgs where the harness is not visible (the visibility is turned off) but once an edit is made to the assembly (such as making a part visible) the harness becomes visible even the the visibility is turned off in that View. I don't know if this is related to the recent installation of service pack 4 for inventor 2010 as this problem recently began occurring.
View 2 Replies View Relatedhow to turn off the little flyout menu that comes up when I am trying to use the LAYFRZ command and am selecting an object that is either extremely close to an object on another layer, or directly on top of an object on another layer. I am trying to quickly select a lot of layers to turn off, and when zoomed out I keep having to pick from the drop down menu which one I want to freeze.
I do not need to have this option on most of the time and would LOVE to turn it off as it is slowing me down a lot.
