Is there another way to turn off dynamic UCS than hitting F6. My ucs change frequently so I constantly have to change it back to world when modeling in 3d.
Is there a way to lock the UCS to world or to a saved UCS permanently. I have no useage of other UCS than world and the ones i saved.
If I get a solution on this problem
I can't seem to turn on the dynamic input. I followed the advice to go through Tools-Application Options - Sketch Tab, but then it references a 'Settings' box that doesn't seem to exist (see the attached screen shot). Is there some other option that needs to be turned on?

View 8 Replies View RelatedI have recently had my 2007 upgraded to 2010 and I'm finding it annoying that everytime I use the distance command the DYN button turns on and I get too much information on the screen as well as a little box I have to exit everytime. How to keep the DYN button switched off? I'm just happy to have the distance information in the command bar at the bottom.
View 5 Replies View RelatedI have three sketches. Two are 2D sketches and the third is a 3D sketch created by the intersection of two surfaces created from the previous two 2D sketches. The order of the browser is as follows:
Sketch1
Sketch2
Revolution (surface)
Extrusion (surface)
3D Sketch 1
When I go back to edit Sketch 2, Sketch 1 is always showing...regardless of whether or not I turn on/off visibility. The visibility toggle has no effect. Sketch 2 has no projected geometry from Sketch 1.
Since changing to Inventor I seem to be unable to turn off visibility of parts in assemblies on a drawing. Usually I just expand the view in the browser then right click on parts and turn off visibility. When I try this the visibility option is grey.
View 5 Replies View RelatedI cannot get Dynamic Input to work correctly on my AutoCAD 2013 installation. Polar Format is always the default no matter what the variable DYNPIFORMAT is set to. Neither using 0 or 1 as the setting will enable Cartesian Format to be the default for the second or next point. Changing the settings in the Pointer Input Settings dialogue box to Cartesian Format also has no effect. 2nd point always is entered as Polar Format. The over-ride for cartesian (,) does work though. I simply want the default to always be cartesian .

I'm using Autocad 2012 and I cannot get rid of the shortcut menu when using the
distance command. F12 works initlailly but only for first part of command.
Shortcut menu always appears.
In Inventor dwgs when I turn the visibility of the harness assembly off (the icon turns gray) the harness still remains visible in the View on the dwg. My co-worker is having the same problem. This is happening on several different inventor dwgs where the harness is not visible (the visibility is turned off) but once an edit is made to the assembly (such as making a part visible) the harness becomes visible even the the visibility is turned off in that View. I don't know if this is related to the recent installation of service pack 4 for inventor 2010 as this problem recently began occurring.

I am trying to quickly select a lot of layers to turn off, and when zoomed out I keep having to pick from the drop down menu which one I want to freeze.
