AutoCAD 2010 :: Turn Off 3D Functions
Feb 1, 2012We never use 3d. Is there a way to turn off all of these features? I feel like it makes my Auto CAD lag and my drawing size (and PDF sizes) too big.

AutoCAD 2010 :: Mouse Wheel Pan Functions?
Dec 18, 2012When you use the wheel autocad zooms in and out. Is there a way to make it so when you hold ctrl and move the wheel Autocad pans left and right? ANd a shift+wheel pans up and down?

AutoCAD 2010 :: Edit Lisp File For New Functions
May 1, 2013add a line to the code you wrote so I could use iunembed or detach the old image in the begin of the lisp command. Iunembed command ask what to name tif after it is unembed. Is there a way to detach the old embed image and run the other parts of the command? Keep in mind I change the lisp little bit.

AutoCAD 2010 :: Ribbon-layers Drop Down And Hatch Edit Functions Not Working?
Sep 5, 2012I was working on a drawing file when my ribbon went haywire. My layer drop down seems frozen so it only shows the current layer and the hatch edit ribbon does not function properly.
The issue with the layer drop down is if I select a line, fill, etc. on any layer the layer drop down on the home ribbon does not change to show the layer that item is on and if I select multiple items on different layers which usually causes the drop down to go blank it still shows the current layer. The object color, line thickness and linetype all change on the properties tab to show the properties of the selected item so the entire home ribbon is not frozen. If I scroll through the layer drop down and select a layer to move the selected item to a new layer AutoCAD responds *Invalid selection* Expects a point or Window/Last/Crossing/BOX/All/Fence . . .
The hatch edit ribbon is completely useless. The angle and scale boxes are greyed out and if I select any of the buttons (Set Origin, change hatch pattern, etc.) AutoCAD again responds with *Invalid selection* . . .
The only CUI shown is the ACAD.CUIX and I have done a Reset and Restore, changed the workspace, restarted AutoCAD and restarted my computer. What am I missing?

Apr 8, 2010Is there another way to turn off dynamic UCS than hitting F6. My ucs change frequently so I constantly have to change it back to world when modeling in 3d.
Is there a way to lock the UCS to world or to a saved UCS permanently. I have no useage of other UCS than world and the ones i saved.

I can't draw a line under it, I can't do any command under it.

Aug 29, 2011In Inventor dwgs when I turn the visibility of the harness assembly off (the icon turns gray) the harness still remains visible in the View on the dwg. My co-worker is having the same problem. This is happening on several different inventor dwgs where the harness is not visible (the visibility is turned off) but once an edit is made to the assembly (such as making a part visible) the harness becomes visible even the the visibility is turned off in that View. I don't know if this is related to the recent installation of service pack 4 for inventor 2010 as this problem recently began occurring.

Dec 15, 2011how to turn off the little flyout menu that comes up when I am trying to use the LAYFRZ command and am selecting an object that is either extremely close to an object on another layer, or directly on top of an object on another layer. I am trying to quickly select a lot of layers to turn off, and when zoomed out I keep having to pick from the drop down menu which one I want to freeze.
