May 6, 2013I am guessing this will be a no but is there a way to change page setup for more than 1 page at a time? I have multiple pages in a drawing that I want to change to all the same page setup.

AutoCAD 2013 :: Sheet Set Deleting DWG Files
Mar 11, 2013At first I thought it was user error, but its happening while I'm editing the sheet set.
As I'm numbering the sheets, it gets stuck and won't allow me to advance to the next sheet. Next thing I know the sheet is greyed out and then the DWG file disappears from the foolder. Different sheet sets, different jobs, different drives on the network.

May 30, 2012In using 2013 I noticed when I delete a feature line which is added to a surface as a breakline it does not delete it from the surface. Even after a rebuild the surface does not update. I am having to go into the toolspace and manually delete the breaklines from the surface list.

AutoCAD 2013 :: Transfer Page Setup From One PC To Another
Jul 18, 2012I just gave one of my drafters a new PC with AutoCAD 2013 and 2012 on it. We migrated the settings from her old pc with with 2012 to the new PC. All settings are correct except for the plotter. She had custom page setup that was used on all her drawings and that did not transfer. We setup a new one with the same settings but that requires us to reapply to every drawing.
Isn't there an easy way to do transfer these settings? If we choose the page setup most of the time it just goes back to none and a lot of the time it isn't even an option.
AutoCAD 2013 :: Page Setup For Different Printers?
May 1, 2013My drawings typically have 5-10 pages(layouts). The page setup on the layouts have the printer name set to my printer in my office. So I can pulish all layouts and print them all at once. I would like to be able to send these drawings to others with different printers and have them be able to print all layouts at once without going and and changing page setups or anything like that, its mostly non autocad people. How can I set this up?

Mar 3, 2013I have just downloaded the 3 year trial of AutoCAD for students. I have managed to create a floor plan but struggling to amend the layout. First of all, I would like the page setup to be A3 but that is not an option on my Page Setup Manager as it will only connect to my printer size.
I am also trying to add a Title Block but again do not know what I am doing, or where to download template ones for free?

1. I can't change my page setup in layout view its showing me strange window where i can't click and do any changes.
2. when I'm trying to scale my drw in 1:10 my page is A1 size its scales way to big so it doesn't fit the page.

Mar 29, 2013Using Autocad - I am not a designer or engineer so have no experience using the software. I am working on a translation of an autocad file. However when I open the document I can only see the 'front page' of the document and Can't find any way to navigate through the different pages (even if I know there should be a lot more than 1 page)
I realise it sounds like a stupid request, but as mentioned, I have no experience with this software.

Jan 11, 2013getting consistent crash when clicking on "new" in page setup manager dialog box.
Happens regardless of which drawing is open. Even for new blank drawings.This prevents me from creating new pagesetup overrides for Publishing. MAJOR PROBLEM.
At this point I have to get other people in the office to create new page setup for me. Editing existing page setups works find, only the "new" setups are a problem.
AutoCAD 2013 (G.114.0.0 SP 1.1), Windows 7.
Also, AutoCAD internal crash reporter is not called. Goes direct to Win 7, "Application has stop working" dialog.

Our company as a .ctb file that has been in use for some time. I have upgraded to 2013 and now...
When I open up old files that contain sheets and page setup.
If I attempt to "Modify" or "Create New" Page setup "Page Setup Manager" goes into lock down and freezes everything.
I am unable to change the setup to re-assign the proper .ctb.
I checked with a new document and I am able to access and use the right .ctb.
This is duplicated on everyone of the machines in our office that has 2013 running on PC.
The one machine with Autocad for Mac 2013 works just fine.
right now we out of four computer, we only have one computer running 2008 that do any printing or PDF'ing.
I tried changing the .CTB to an .STB, with no success. Changing the color space does not appear to work.
Is there a problem with my .ctb file that makes it not compatible with 2013?

May 31, 2012I am trying to plot a drawing on a tabloid sheet. I don't remember how to do so.Heres is what I have tried:
I went to "Page Setup Manager" in the options from right clicking on the Layout tab and then went to modify. From there I chose my Paper Size as "ANSI B (17x11 Inches). Then from the "What to plot" tab I chose extents and when I preview the print it doesn't incorporate the whole drawing, but only a portion of it. It does the same thing if I choose the other options (window, layout, etc...).

Sep 24, 2013Copied the printer configuration (pc3 and pmp) from AutoCAD 2013 to AutoCAD 2012. Plot the same drawing with that same printer configuration. With AutoCAD 2013, it plots out fine - page orientation landscape. In 2012, it plots out wrong. The orientation of the drawing is correct, but the paper is changed to portrait?
The plot setting are exactly the same in both versions.

Is there a way to remove the *Model* page setup entry from the list of Page Setups in the Page Setup Manager? This is the first time I am seeing *Model* in the list, and I suspect that it the reason I am not able to generate a PDF for this particular drawing. When I try, I get the following error:

I have this idea that removing *Model* from the list will do it. In addition to causing PDF creation failure, I believe it is also responsible for forcing the Model to always be in the Publish list, even though I have unchecked the "Include model when adding sheets" option. I can remove it from that list manually, but it comes back every time.

Oct 16, 2010I quite often need a separate ruler scale on each page of a multi-page document. The only way I know how to do this is to create a separate document for each drawing that requires a new scale.
I request that you add the ability to change the ruler scale on a per page basis within a single multi-page document.

Jan 28, 2012Several times a week I need to take a PDF (single-page doc), then convertto a page-sized PNG with quality good enough to read the text (and atransparent border), and then convert to a SWF. I have a PNG-to-SWFutility, but when I used it on the PNG saved after I opened my PDF andexported from GIMP, the end result was not good enough. A co-worker saidGIMP couldn't make a PNG (w/transparency) with enough quality. He said we'dhave to use some other software. Part of the issue was not being able toresize without losing quality before the PNG export. True or false?

Mar 14, 2014After moving a page in my document the master page elements no longer display on screen or in print. If I move the page to a different location in the document the master displays but if it is in the specific position that it needs to be it will not display. The document has multiple Masters and others do work on the page but the one that I need will not. I've tried deleting the page and adding a new one and that does not fix the problem. I've checked and "Hide Master Items" is not checked. The page in question is in position 48 with F-Master applied. If I move it to position 49 it works, 50, it works, 51, or any other it works. If I apply a different master to the page, it works. If I delete the page, add a new page and apply F-Master it still does not work. The only page that this problem is happening on is page 48.

Apr 1, 2014Trying to set up a datamerge file to create multi page spread documents with fields on different pages. Attempting to set it up so it's as automated as possible as there are up to 20 different merge documents needing to merge with up to 100 different csv records from the same file each week . The merge documents have different and repeated merge fields on most pages.
I've set it up so that the document has facing pages, and most pages have images spread across the whole of the spread. the pages preview fine, they are created ok when using 'Create Merged Document' although the page numbers continue from one document to another (another problem). but when I come to export to pdf, then the merge only shows the image on the left spread but on both left and right spread single pages, and the page numbers don't show the correct page numbers eg it will go p1 p2 p1 p2 etc all the way through the document instead of p1 p2 p3 - p20 etc. I don't want to have to merge first then pdf but can't understand why the images and page numbers are not showing correctly.

Mar 30, 2012If it's a bug, then I cannot believe it wasn't caught before the release. So here it is. I simply put artistic text down on page 1. Select the text and copy to clipboard. Add a new page and paste the text. On my computer, the text changes from artistic text (as copied to clipboard) to paragraph default text left justified across the center of the page. It doesn't matter how much text I select, it always pastes on the new page as paragraph text left justified and across the center of the page.
However, if I select artistic text and any other object, copy and paste to a new sheet, it works erectly. Apparently, I now have to select text and an object to insure that the paste feature works properly?

Mar 4, 2014Indesign CS6: I've years of extensive experience using Master Pages. Now, however, when I insert a single page in a facing page document, the headers shift off the page. I've tried everything I can think of to stop this. I'm not using liquid layout or any of those layout things.
This is very problematic as I do textbooks with hundreds of graphics and I either have to manually move all the master page items on every page after an insertion; or I have to shift all graphics manually to the next page after moving those to the next page, and the next, and so on.
I'm praying this is just a "hey, you must have X set to X and by deselecting it you'll be fine."
