At first I thought it was user error, but its happening while I'm editing the sheet set.
As I'm numbering the sheets, it gets stuck and won't allow me to advance to the next sheet. Next thing I know the sheet is greyed out and then the DWG file disappears from the foolder. Different sheet sets, different jobs, different drives on the network.
Is there a way to get rid of the unreferenced image files from a drawing from the command line. I have thousands of dwgs to batch edit using a script and Script Pro and need to automate the "right click and detach" on the command line.
having major issues with sheet sets in Autocad 2013 (actually we're using Autocad MEP 2013... but haven't gotten any responses to my post over in that forum so trying it here too). We use them constantly, and up til now they've worked great. In 2013, we can't get a .dst file to stay valid for more than 2 hours. You can create them & work with them just fine, but once you close & reopen AMEP it says the .dst is invalid, and it creates a new .dst of the same name in the same directory w/ 0kb file size. After that, nothing works... view names, sheet titles, etc., everything that is driven off the sheet set. And of course every time you have to recreate a sheet set, you have to recreate every detail callout, sheet title, detail title, etc. in the set of drawings.
We've installed AMEP 2013 SP1, doesn't make a difference.
All of our machines are Win7 Pro, mixed 32- & 64-bit, with plenty of processor/memory/graphics capability. Our standardization stuff runs off of our network/NAS drive.
I am using AutoCAD 2013 and I working on a project of approxamitely 80 pages and I have a Sheet Set Manager set up.There are about 40 pages that have text saying Continuation on Sheet XX of YY. I managed to use a field for the total count (YY) however I need to link the XX to the another drawing. I have researched and failed miserably.
I'm trying to set up a title block template that will be used between several different sheet sets. I have entered the custom properties, then when I go to the title block and try to insert the fields with current sheet set custom the drop down box is empty and then when I try to type in the custom property name the link still does not function. Is there some trick that I'm missing, or is this function broken on AutoCad 2013?
I'm fairly new to Autocad and getting used to using sheet set manager. What I'm experiencing is, when you insert a model view it brings in an xref of that model, but i'm then unsure how to add additional xref models into the same view.
For example I have a separate ground floor plan file and OS data file which I want to show in the one sheet view without nesting the OS data to the original ground floor file.
In using 2013 I noticed when I delete a feature line which is added to a surface as a breakline it does not delete it from the surface. Even after a rebuild the surface does not update. Â I am having to go into the toolspace and manually delete the breaklines from the surface list.
I am having duplicate objects in my files and I am wondering if they could be deleted. I think that I saw the option to select these kind of objects but now I need a remainder so I can get rid of the unnecessary stuff.
I'm trying to modify a surface I built from drill hole data of a cavern by deleting unwanted triangles from it. Everytime I select the delete lines command it tells me I need to have the triangles displayed for the surface, and they are displayed.Â
Deleting files and saving files brings up an error message. Files can't be deleted from lightroom which makes editing a nightmare. Also Saving Files (raw of jpeg), brings up an error message everytime.
I've been having a problem with my AutoCAD LT 2010 completely deleting files after I have saved them and closed them. There is no file in the recovery manager, no back up file, nothing. It has happened three times without warning and it always happens to files I've been working on for awhile and have opened and closed multiple times. Is there any way to recover these files and how do I keep it from happening again?
I downloaded a Copy of AutoCAD Recent Documents Manager.exe from the autodesk website and it won't run on any of the computers in our system. I was thinking about writing a LISP routine to delete the filenames with a DST suffix by replacing them with the next filename in the list. My question is If I replace the file with the next one above and the filetime, filepinned and class respectively. When I reach the end of the list can I just use "" for the file, filetime and class and integer 0 for filepinned (it looks like it requires a double).
All of my files were backed up and easily transfered to my new computer. Today I was doing some cleanup and wanted to move or delete some older psd files. These were created in CS2 (I have CS3 now) and haven't been opened since getting my new computer. Windows will not allow me to delete, move or rename several of these files. It tells me that they are "open in another application" even when photoshop isn't even open. I have tried opening a couple of them in CS3 and then closing them to see if this changes their status but the result is the same. How can I change their "open" status, delete, move or rename them at this point.
How do i delete old images in my gurus folder here, i have loads in there now and its taking ages to load before i can upload my next victim, i mean great member
I have VideoStudio 11 running under an XP Virtual PC.
I'm sure that there is a command to delete temporary files but I can't for the life of me remember how to access it.
Alternatively, would it be easier to go straight to the VideoStudio working folder. I've just had a look there and was staggered to find no less than 24GB of various files in the CvtedTitle folder.
I have just moved my years worth of images off my laptop by exporting the catalogue throught Lightroom and everything that goes with it to a exteranl drive. Now I would like to delete the catalogue and all files associated with it. Do I need to do that through Lightroom or can I just delete the year 2012 in the pictures folder.
I use Aperture 3 and am thinking of switching to Lightroom 4. I do not store my photos in the Aperture 3 library. Instead I store my photos in my own folder system on an external hard drive and I reference the files in Aperture. This works well for most functions, but when I delete a photo from Aperture, it simply removes the thumbnail and all versions from Aperture, but does not delete the actual photo file on my hard drive. If I want to delete the actual photo file I must click "show file in finder" and manually delete it from the finder window.  Is the process of organizing photos in your own folder system, and deleting unwanted photos, more seemlessly integrated in Lightroom 4?
Photoshop/Bridge prevents deleting files. After I'm done with a job I store it on the server then try to delete the folder or files I've finished from my desktop. No can do. Â I found I have to shut down Photoshop and Bridge then I can move the stuff into trash.
I am currently testing Lightroom on my computer and found a lot of useful features. Â 1. Does Lightroom have a function against accidentally deleting of files or pictures? Â 2. What about synchronisation? Can I use Lightroom on two computers, I mean when I work on the one computer, will all changes be available and visible on the other computer? Â 3. Can I use one catalogue on two or more drives in my computer? Â 4. Does Lightroom have a back-up function? Â 5. Can Lightroom recognize faces of people so that the software finds all photos of the same person?
For some reason when i am editing clips (COD Clips) and other gameplays, files sometimes randomly delete on me. I go to the file and it's not there. Its basically like After Effects is deleting my files, i dont understand.
how to edit a solid with opening a hole only one face and deleting an another face..
I added a drawing file which has a coloured face solid,I put a circle on blue face and making a hole on this face, and I want to delete red face without exploding solid, after all this I want to mesh this solid with maximum 25 units.
I was extracting a portion of a picture when I started getting the messages that my temp files may be full. Â I could not save, save as, or export what i had done. Â I am using Corel Draw Suite 12.
I am getting "trash is not supported on this volume" errors when trying to delete rejected photos from two different firewire volumes on OS X 10.8.4. Â This is not an issue with internal hard drives and is not an issue in LR4.4 on the same external drives.
I accidentally click/dragged the sheet set manager palette really quickly and it totally vanished...The thing is I googled this, and every solution involved going to the CUI, expanding "Palettes" in the workspace and realigning it etc
However there is no Sheet set manager in my palettes menu..Is it called something other than "sheet set manager"?Also I've tried typing every command, even did a repair install.
My company just purchased AutoCAD 2013 and I'm in the process of converting our titleblock to work with the sheet set manager. Here are my steps I've taken:
1. Edit existed titleblock to add fields. Example: set our existing project name field to "CurrentSheetSetProjectName"
2. Create a sheet set using the titlbock DWT as my template for new sheets.
3. Typed "Test" into the default project name field that is created with new sheet sets
4. Clicked "Update fields" in the ribbon
After following those steps, I expected the project name to update to "Test". Am I missing something?
