But my question is I would like to continue to use navis manage 2012, is there a way to export revit 2013 to navis manage 2012?

View 2 Replies View RelatedIs there a way in Revit to export or import settings much like a profile in AutoCAD and how I set up the icon to point at that profile when the program opens? I would like to know how be able to customize where the program looks for the families and other items over the network, so all users can see the same thing, in options.
Attached is the properties of the AutoCAD icon. The Target is set-up to point to the "AutoCAD Architecture (US Imperial)" profile. I would like to do something similar in the Revit icon.

I'm currently working on a project that requires modelling in revit but exporting the final drawings in Autocad format. As a requirement from my client, I am demanded to export the entire paper space into the model space as Autocad entities.
When I export the drawing, the composition that I model in Revit is shown in the paper space, Is there a way to automatically export this composition into the model space?
I have this file that won't open in AutoCAD Architecture 2012, well let me rephrase that, it won't finish opening. It has 4 or 5 xref's attached. I was able to open this same file using 2010. Through process of elimination I was able to determine that a file that was exported from Revit MEP 2012 was the problem. When that file was detached the drawing would open just fine. To make things more interesting, I am able to open the Revit Export file just fine using 2012. What diabolical combination of event has happened to cause this SNAFU.

View 2 Replies View RelatedWe are a couple of students just starting at our finale thesis at the university. We got some problems that we can't find a resolution to.
We are going to use Ultramarine MOSES to simulate a ship. We got the drawings as 2d construction lines (.dwg) and 3d (.igs) of the ship, and need all the coordinates, x,y,z of all lines, to the coding in MOSES.
Our problem is to get these coordinates from autocad. We have tried to open the dwg in autocad and use dataextraction to get the coordinates without any sucess. We have also tried the igs without any sucess there as well.
I am wondering why RPC content in Revit Architecture 2013 is not exporting, or linking when I open up the project in 3Ds Max Desing 2013. I have tried FBX, and linking that, as well as linking an .RVT file, =either "imported" the RPC objects.
Why doesn't 3Ds Max Design support these objects and is there any way to get them into 3Ds Max.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have a strange one here. Installed 10 seats of Inventor 2013 on Win 7x64, all but 2 cannot export an AutoCAD DWG. When you go to export the file, clicking on Options does nothing. On the one I have tried a repair install, this did no0t work, I then did an uninstall/reinstall, this fixed it. On the second machine, I was hoping I could get away with copying the dwg export .nin file. This has not worked
View 1 Replies View RelatedWe have recently started having issues with our sets coming back from the printers. We are using ACA 2013. We us the "Arial" font for all of our noting.
When we need a check set printed we typically send a PDF of the set to our printer for reproduction. Lately I have been using the "export > to pdf" function under the drop down. The problem is, when we view the PDF in our office, it is perfect but when we ship it off to the printer he see's missing letters and open boxes in some areas instead of letters.
I am assuming that this is because the font is being substituted with something else. When I recreate the PDF using the plot command and use the Adobe PDF printer I can uncheck the "Rely on system fonts only, do not use document fonts". This seems to remedy the problem and the printer is able to print and view the PDF just fine.
So, is it possible to set the default settings of whatever the "export to pdf" uses to convert the dwg into a pdf so that is will embed the fonts. There is not an option for that under the Export to DWF/PDF options.

I need to export a layout to a new model -as a new drawing-. I did ths after bind all the X-ref files and explode them all then with "Export layout to new model" command from the right click menu on Layout tab. But the file is slightly big, the file has more than about 105 layout , the AutoCAD gets hang and after about 10-15 mins it shows a dialogue box contents"Unhandelled exception has occurred in a component in your application. If you click continue the application will ignore this and attempt to continue" I clicked on "Continue" and a file has been created with 0 bites. And that file cannot be opened.
