I have installed AutoCAD in few of the machines using one of the User id.
Now i would like to know, on how many machines AutoCAD is installed using that user id.
Where I can get information on this.
I've got CorelDRAW HOME & STUDENT SUITE X5. According to EULA I'm allowed to install it on 3 Computers athome. Actually X5 is installed only once on my Notebook under WinXP.
Now I'm going to upgrade the Notebook to Win7 or Win8 and re-install the CorelDRAW HOME & STUDENT SUITE X5 then. Will this re-installation be registered as a 2nd installation? If yes, how can I de-register the old XP-Installation? I plan to provide the other two installation options to my 2 children and don't want to loose one, therefore.
How to “synchronize” the ‘layout number” with “sheet number”?
As in most cases, the arrangements of “lay outs” reflects the way they are regularly printed, then how could we renumbering the sheets such that the first lay out takes number 1, the second lay out takes number 2,…and so forth.

I was rolling out 2013 in one of our offices during the brief time SP1 was available. I went ahead and included SP1 in the office's network deployment (using the append option) and installed on all the machines in that office. Now that SP1 has proven to to be a problem, is there any way to uninstall the SP without having to do a complete uninstall and reinstall at each machine? Tried checking thru control panel (with and without "show updates" turned on), but the SP does not appear in the list to uninstall separately.

I downloaded the version I had purchased from My Adobe and everything seemed fine. After running the Setup program it came back with a dialog box saying that the Installer Database was corrupt and that I should contact customer support.
I have since attempted to download it two more times, with Akamai and without. Both time with the same result.I was told when I finally reached a support person that this is the only vehicle for support of CS4.

How can you limit the number of open drawings in a session of AutoCAD. Now I can open up 35 drawings in 1 session which will take up a huge amount of memory.

I've got a large job and Object Isolate has been good for our drawing prodeuction but now we're running into some glitches on a regular basis the last few weeks.
1st Undo is being disabled. Thia really only started since we've begun plotting drawings and Isolating objects.
2nd We can't isolate everything. Is there a limit to the number of objects that can be isolated? or anything that controls that?
Why autocad always starts up with 2 layout tabs available on the drawing. In the template that I have created only one layout tab is available and if I create a new drawing according to that template after startup, only one layout tab is available. The template that I have created is set as the basic template for autocad, so it starts up using this template.
Now I want autocad to startup with only one layout tab available.
Is there a quick and easy way to number items in a drawing? I have attached a pdf and would like to number the seats 1-100.

My quick properties palette is only showing about 4 lines...(actually about 4.2 lines - explained below)
I've already changed the minimum number of rows to 20, under 'Palette Behavior', under 'Quick Properties', 'Drafting Settings', and' Tools'.
I've closed and reopened Autocad several times since i've set this, but QP box will still not show more than 4 complete lines.
I've also gone to the CUI and changed the number of attributes i want to show for each different kind of entity, so i know it's not because i dont have enough lines to show....in fact, i can see a bit of the next line....i just can't drag the window any bigger!
Is there a way to make any number,letters, or a series of both or each as subscripts?

I have a plat map that I used topopgraphy to create polygons of all the lots. Each lot has a lot number created as text (not mtext or a block) on a layer that is separate from the layer with the polygons. I need to export the polygons as a shapefile and be able to access them in reference to their lot number. This information should be included with the .dbf file. I can export the lot polygons as a shapefile but the lot numbers are not included. I suspect that I need to do something with getting the centroid to include the lot number text (which I was not able to do successfully.) And then include that with the polygon/data export.
I am creating a drawing that has some 40+ notes on it. Maybe half of these notes need to have a square, squircle, or some shape around them so I can later use that same shape enclosed number to point to a feature on the drawing that it is referencing. In the past when I had fewer notes I would just use the user symbols and losely place the squircle number in line with the other text and then use that same squircle number to point to the desired feature. The problem it is hard to align everything properly and if I move the text I then need to move the squircles.
In Pro/E I remember being able to type "@[1@]" and it would create a box around 1 in the text. Is there anything similar in Inventor?
In our company if we put a component in 5 different assemblies, we want that component to have the same item number no matter where it is in the parts list. In addition we group components to have a special item number... Meaning hardware like washer, bolts, and etc. to start with 500 series number.. Piping components would be 800 series...
