AutoCad 3D :: Create Series Of Trays In Shape Of Letters - Unable To Sweep 1 Selected Object
Aug 14, 2013I need to create a series of "trays" that are in the shape of letters. I am having some success with certain letters, but zero success with others.
I am creating these letters using a curve brought in from illustrator, and sweeping the profile that I want to use around the curve to create the outside.I am then using presspull to create the base of the tray.
However, sometimes the sweep command will simply say "unable to sweep 1 selected object" with no explanation as to why.
Sometimes I will get the shape that I want, but it is facing the wrong way, and I cannot fix it. Other times it will simply stall and then delete both the curve and the profile.

Oct 27, 2011We are using AutoCAD Architeucture 2010. We would like to be able to use exisitng room numbers for a renovation project. Currently the building has room numbers with letters in them, ie AS112, T112 or C112. Unforunately the letters change multiple times on 1 level. So we can not simply change the desigination on the construct level. how to do with with 'spaces' in AutoCAD Architecture?

I cannot figure out how to get SUBscripts into an attribute, I have searched all over the web to no avail.
Perhaps an alternate way is converting Mtext with subscripts to an attribute? Any routine to convert text to an attribute for use in blocks?

Mar 3, 2012I'm using ACAD 2012 3D. I want to color in some letters and symbols, but whenever I do they get muffled away by the material I selected for my object.

As you can see the black arrow is partially yellow, which I do not want. The problem doesn't only happen after rendering, but in my model space as well. I tried all kind of things to get it all black. Hatch, make a solid out of it, different layer, draworder, apply other materials, but nothing seems to work. What goes for the arrow goes for all the words in gray/white too.
In case you wonder, I've made an effect pedal for guitar.

Sep 26, 2012I have a problem with text along an arc.
I want to make a series of numbers around the edge of a medallion. I first make a temporary circle (the size of medallion) then curve my numbers to "fit to path". Then I delete the circle. But when I want to edit (make new numbers) they don't fit to the curve anymore. Is there a better way to do this?

1st Undo is being disabled. Thia really only started since we've begun plotting drawings and Isolating objects.

In the template that I have created only one layout tab is available and if I create a new drawing according to that template after startup, only one layout tab is available.
