I have a file that opens only in CS6 and I need to open the same file in CS5.5, is it possible to save the file in CS6 as a format that will open in CS5.5? This is urgent as my cs6 trial will run out soon. The file was oroginally started in cs5.5 then opened and saved on a trial of cs6 which is still on going.
View 3 RepliesI have made some sheets in 1 revit file and made elevation views and put them on the sheets. Now I want to move those sheets to another file.
Is it possible or do you just have to make new sheets and views? It doesn't look like is works within 'Transfer Project Standards'.....
I have been trying to export some files (all morning - note my frustration) to a new stock agency, but when I do a File>Export my Lightroom 4 generated Keywords are not in the files. I have tried to problem solve this on my own and looked online but I am having no luck at all. I am not very savy with all of this keywording protocol to start with. I am sure it is something simple like a box that needs to be checked or unchecked.

I have created keyframes from audio file and used them to generate some effect, all works fine, it is amazing how easy it is However, I would like to generate flash (?) so that these effects would be dynamic to different audio files after export.
What I want is basically to create effects that can be used in life event to the streaming music.
I have edited my video using after effects. I have been unable to export my file to youtube using a valid file name. All of the results have issues with sound and quality.
View 2 Replies View RelatedAE CS5 is saying a file path is too long when I do a collect file.The image sequence in question is only 7 directories deep -- which doesn't seem too buried considering how AE wants to structure collected files: /Volumes/HardDrive/ProjectName/CollectFileFolder/(Footage)/CompName/Pr ecompName/results/3Dimage_multipass0000.tif
Is it number of directories deep or overall number of characters in the entire path that's the issue?
I am using Creative Suite 6 Trial, and I made a 3D shape of a cylinder and put a label on it by using symbols, it looks great. But now i feel I have this 3D product (the file itself) in it which I really want to use in After effects to create an animation and fully take advantage of it 3Dness, spin it around, etc. I want to make a product showcase of it, but I am not able to do it.
How to export it into AE in 3d?If its not possible directly can I export it into blender and then save it as an .obj somehow? I tried using photoshop but I couldnt make it work.
How to have the perfect file in illustrator and be able to spin it around but not being able to make that happen in AE.

In other Mac Pro with Mac OS X 10.6.8 and the same version of After Effects CS5.0 there are not problems.

On computer 1, I import a MTS file and it has sound. All good.
On Computer 2., iimport the same MTF file and it has no sound.
Both machines have CS6. Windows 7 and as already mentioned, same MTS file ( coming from Panasoic Camcorder)
When I'm rendering some video for example about 10 second with simply effects it gives me much more file size about 5 gb but video is 10 second without some particle effects why? URL....

View 8 Replies View RelatedAE crashed during the rendering process, a window came out and asked if I would save the file, I did but unfortunately I did not turn it into a new project. After all, AE shutted down.
Then there I was trying to open my project which was saved, although it turns out to be an error which said "missing data in file"
I tried to google it and I looked into like 20 forum pages, I tried putting the project on a new disk and importing instead of opening and stuff.Well I at least learned I should backup the project next time.
But still wondering if there's a way to save my project?
Btw, what does it mean by pressing capslock when importing the project?
i accidentally Shift+Del a folder with my AEP's in it. i used a data recovery program to recover those files. now when trying to open them i get this error:
Unable to import file "..." as project (bad format or not readable)i kind of got my hopes up while using the recovery program, can this error be worked around or is the file stuffed ?
I am importing a large avi file into After Effects. It is 50 minutes long. When I import it into after effects, it only loads 32 seconds of it. I've tried renaming the file, reloading the program, but it still will only load that small portion of it.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI had my Mac crash on me a few days ago and since then I've been only able to work on my current project for ten minutes at a time before I get the above dialogue come up.
It's not just this file that suffers from this and there doesn't appear to be a pattern to which file is affected. The files that are mentioned in the dialogue are outputs from both FCP and from AE itself, they are always Quicktimes and they are compressed with the Animation codec, although I've used a number of other codecs and it doesn't seem to make any difference. If I quit and restart AE, I can continue working for a while on a composition with the same file that caused the dialogue to appear, until it happens again, often with a different file mentioned in the dialogue.
We have re-installed the CC suite after an uninstall and clean-up, but to no avail.
Do we need to reinstall the OS? Could it be a quicktime thing?
How to make a synchronization between the scene in After Effects and PSD file?
Such a problem - was created composition from PSD, I made animations in AE, and then in the PSD appeared new layers that are not picked up automatically like old layers.
I need to produce about 100 videos from a single project changing some images and texts.
I found out that editing aepx files for the project I can change the images paths and do the renders with aerender.exe without needing to enter AE.
The problem are the texts, I found the text part in the aepx, even in Hex format, but when I try to swap one hex word with another, the change simply doesn't reflect in AE nor aerender. It just display the original text.
Is there a way to change the text content directly in the aepx to let me automate the 100 avi production without even entering After Effects?

View 2 Replies View RelatedI have opened After Effects CC multiple times, created and saved .c4d files from Cinema 4D Lite and dragged .c4d files onto both applications. I have also restarted the computer many times. The system is running on a new installation on Mac OS on a drive formatted just 2 weeks ago so there should be no issues from strange system changes.
The .c4d files still appear with a Terminal icon and association on Mac OS X. Even when I use "Open With". This is annoying because it is hard to visually find these files without the proper icon on them. They even have the Terminal icon when imported into After Effects.
How can I change the icon system-wide to be correct?
Yesterday AE CS4 crashed and told me to save the project. Unfortunately i overwrote my only existing file.Now i can't open it any more, i always get the error message displayed above. Anyway, im surprised by the fact that the file still has the same size as before, so there has to be the same data in the file, hasn't it?
I also tried the capslock method and the importing method, non of them worked.At the capslock method AE only imported one audio file, but not a single composition. How to restore it?
