I have 2 computers.
On computer 1, I import a MTS file and it has sound. All good.
On Computer 2., iimport the same MTF file and it has no sound.
Both machines have CS6. Windows 7 and as already mentioned, same MTS file ( coming from Panasoic Camcorder)
1) After importing any video to After Effects CS5 , the SOUND is missed as well as import also. The problem arises after import.
2) While moving Current Time Indicator and selection of colours , the preview is not shown although preview is ticked. after selecting colour and clicking ok only the colour is applied. and after placing the time indicator at a any place only it shows, but video is played from preview bar on RHS.
When I play the video from "importing video frames into layers" the audio doesn't come out anymore.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have some R3D files here from my Red Scarlet and Epic. I used the A Box from wooden camera and a microfone with xlr to record sound direct on footage. In Redcine X and Premiere i got the waveform and the sound, but in After Effects i got only a dead spine. No visible waveform. I can activate sound button on and of, also can change the DB, but nothing happend. I also got no sound with Ram preview or rendering. If i put the footage in a Premiere project and import this Pr Projekt to after effects, than i got the waveform. But that is not the way i want to use my footage. Now i lost al the RAW abilitys from my R3D files and some other specials. Why i got no sound/waveform? I have the latest CC version of AE.

I would like to know how to do to preview sound in AE without RAM previewing all the clip I'm working on. I have a clip of 3 mins and I need to preview it all from the begining to modify something at 2min45.
How can I RAM preview only a part of my clip ?
I have made a short film of 6 minutes (in 6 parts on after effects) I have added all the effects and the camera work on AE, but it needs a lot of editing here and there, which I find impossible to do on AE since you can't cut and join scenes like Premier pro. I need to import all these sequences onto premier pro for editing now. The problem is once I import the files, it imports in the right order in systematic folders etc, but it doesn't show any of the camera work or the special effects like gaussian blur etc. All my hard work has gone.
There must be a way you can import the after effects file on premier the way it looks on AE.
Another problem is I read some boards and it has been suggested to edit the clips first on premier and then add effects on AE but I read this really late and I've already composited the whole film on AE. I just need premier for cutting now.
P.S: I also thought about exporting the AE sequences as TGA files but there's ZERO space left in my internal hard disk for that, and it would take forever to export them all anyway. Any other kind of export would reduce the original quality which I dont want, and which I dont have space for anyway, so that option is out as well.
Video-Studio X5.. Using: -> Auto Music Icon above timeline: -> Scope = Sound Effects - Filter = Any -> No Sound Effects Listed.
I do have Music, Beats & complete access to the remaining smart sound features, cant find any sound effects though. Question ? Do any effects come with Smart Sound for VS-X5. I searched Smart Sound and found there website, and I'm not positive but it looks as though they are charging 29.00 for each sound Effect
In VS x3 I had the ability to tweak voice sounds. The voice track could be made to sound like chipmunks or various other sounds. Now with X$ that ability seems to be gone.

I have read that the 3d import is no longer available from CS6 onwards so I have downloaded Cinema 4D lite plugin for affer effects. I have managed to get the photoshop 3d object into Cinema 4d as I would expect but now I am struggling to find a way to export that object and import it into After Effects?

If i preview the files before putting them into the project, there is no sound, movie plays fine.
If i add them to the project and select "project" instead of clip there is sound...

I updated my VSX5 with SP1 but it didn't work...
Can I attach an mp3 or wav file to an image in Photoshop or Iamage ready, if so how?
Or do I need another program for that?
No type of sound file i try to add to my animation is working.

Basically, I just import my 3D model into Photoshop and save it as a PSD, then import the PSD file into AE. This is the ONLY way to import 3D files into AE without having to buy plug-ins, etc, since AE doesn't accept the most common 3D file types. However, everything I've read is that Adobe is eliminating this. How Adobe is going to address this problem in CS6?

View 2 Replies View RelatedIt seems After Effects CS6 suddenly stopped accepting DNG files during import.
Just the day before, I was imported DNG sequences generated by the raw2dng app (Magic Lantern RAW video, shot on a Canon 5D Mk III), but AE suddenly stopped accepting DNGs over night (they are greyed out on import).
After Effects CC will still import DNGs, and opens the ACR window immediately, as it should. I'm running OSX 10.9.2, and all of my Adobe software is fully updated.
I have created keyframes from audio file and used them to generate some effect, all works fine, it is amazing how easy it is However, I would like to generate flash (?) so that these effects would be dynamic to different audio files after export.
What I want is basically to create effects that can be used in life event to the streaming music.
Running Ulead Video studio 10 Plus and have used it well for the last few years, on Windows Vista Home ed. Have put the audio on to the project as i always have and ever had any problems wih it. Now though it will only play the sound when the audio clip is selected and not when project is selected, although the coloured lines move on the mixer in both sourround sound and non-surround sound when project is selected.
