In VS x3 I had the ability to tweak voice sounds. The voice track could be made to sound like chipmunks or various other sounds. Now with X$ that ability seems to be gone.
View 3 RepliesI have noticed that it is possible to overlap sound clips. Just wanting to know does this automatically add fade to the end of the first clips and start of the second clip - my testing could not confirm that. Also is there some documentation on overlapping sound clips as I could not find anything in the handbook.
Also a possible problem I have encountered (I could repeat it too). When I add a video clip to the overlay track at times when I select it (left mouse click) VS Pro X4 appears to FREEZE and I cannot do anything within VS such as select something else. If I then select 'Show Desktop' (from the icon in my quick start bar) and then click anywhere in the desktop and then reselect VS from the bar at the bottom of screen I am returned to VS and it is not in freeze mode again.
Video-Studio X5.. Using: -> Auto Music Icon above timeline: -> Scope = Sound Effects - Filter = Any -> No Sound Effects Listed.
I do have Music, Beats & complete access to the remaining smart sound features, cant find any sound effects though. Question ? Do any effects come with Smart Sound for VS-X5. I searched Smart Sound and found there website, and I'm not positive but it looks as though they are charging 29.00 for each sound Effect
I have been unsuccessful in adding voice over to a project that I have created. Have tried using both the built-in microphone on my laptop and a plug-in one. When I activate voice-over the adjustment for volume does not function and nothing is recorded when I try.
View 6 Replies View RelatedAt the EDIT step, the voice level of each HD clip is in reasonable level, but during playback of the entire project the voice level droped down. Also after rendering the voice level is still low. On the other side, the voice level of imported music from audio CD doesn't changed. Is it suppose to be so? I am using the Pro X4 program.
View 8 Replies View RelatedRunning Ulead Video studio 10 Plus and have used it well for the last few years, on Windows Vista Home ed. Have put the audio on to the project as i always have and ever had any problems wih it. Now though it will only play the sound when the audio clip is selected and not when project is selected, although the coloured lines move on the mixer in both sourround sound and non-surround sound when project is selected.

View 3 Replies View RelatedDoes it make an audible difference if I use the voice over track for music?I do a lot of audio synch and I sometimes put the music track in the voice-over track. This happens because the audio track that I am using comes from a video clip. One video has good quality video and bad quality audio; the other one has poor quality video, but good audio. So I keep the video from one and the audio from the other. After synchronizing the 2 videos, the sound is also synchronized. When I split the audio from the video file, it automatically drops into the voice over track and if I don't move it the the music track, it stays there.When listening to the final result, I don't hear a noticeable difference, but is there one?In other words, is one of these tracks more suitable for music.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI have some R3D files here from my Red Scarlet and Epic. I used the A Box from wooden camera and a microfone with xlr to record sound direct on footage. In Redcine X and Premiere i got the waveform and the sound, but in After Effects i got only a dead spine. No visible waveform. I can activate sound button on and of, also can change the DB, but nothing happend. I also got no sound with Ram preview or rendering. If i put the footage in a Premiere project and import this Pr Projekt to after effects, than i got the waveform. But that is not the way i want to use my footage. Now i lost al the RAW abilitys from my R3D files and some other specials. Why i got no sound/waveform? I have the latest CC version of AE.

On computer 1, I import a MTS file and it has sound. All good.
On Computer 2., iimport the same MTF file and it has no sound.
Both machines have CS6. Windows 7 and as already mentioned, same MTS file ( coming from Panasoic Camcorder)

View 8 Replies View Related1) After importing any video to After Effects CS5 , the SOUND is missed as well as import also. The problem arises after import.
2) While moving Current Time Indicator and selection of colours , the preview is not shown although preview is ticked. after selecting colour and clicking ok only the colour is applied. and after placing the time indicator at a any place only it shows, but video is played from preview bar on RHS.
In VideoStudio 6, how does one connect the voice track to the video during the editing process?
My specific issue is that I have to go back and edit material sometimes that precedes the voice track I already have laid down, but when the time frame of the material after my new edit I have to go back and drag the voice track to the proper location. I would like to be able to permanently "attach" the voice track to the specific video clip and have it follow that clip as it is moved, time wise, during the editing process.
Is there a means to make this happen?
PS - I realize there is a work around way - just publish each clip and then rebuild the final project but that is NOT what I want to do.
I have imported a clip from imovies and cannot play back the sound in preview. What have I done wrong?
View 3 Replies View RelatedI have recently completed a new project and made a video file (using the DVD option). This video file plays perfectly with media player etc., but when I the burn a DVD from the file all I get is the pictures with no sound.
I am using VS Pro x4 ultimate - what I am missing (apart from the sound! )
I'm using a freshly installed VideoStudio Pro x5, so all settings are standard.
I imported XXX.MTS files (AVCHD) from a camcorder into VSX5.
Info on the files

Audio Type: Dolby Digital
48khz , 2 ch
Bite rate 18.00Mbps
If i preview the files before putting them into the project, there is no sound, movie plays fine.
If i add them to the project and select "project" instead of clip there is sound...

I updated my VSX5 with SP1 but it didn't work...
Suddenly Pro X3 will no longer play audio.
I import any mpg file which are known to have sound and when i ty to play it there is no audio at all from Pro X3. This has been working all along and it just seems to have stopped. I have made sure of the obvious things.We get sound from other apps so the computer and speakers are fine. I have checked the sound icon from within Pro X3 and it is turned up to max.
Whenever I import an AvI file into Corel Video Studio Pro X5 there is no sound whatsoever. Other file types work fine, but any and all AVIs I try will not play back any audio. I have tried at least a dozen from different origins and no success.

I have been outputting to upload the files to Vimeo as:

MPEG AAC Audio: 128 Kbps
My question is if there's any benefit or drawback to outputting at 256 Kbps sound instead of 128? The file sizes are pretty similar (I guess the extra sound quality takes a bit of the picture kbps instead?) but I can't notice a difference with either image or sound quality.
I'm using Video Studio Pro X5.
I have a short project which I am trying to burn on to a DVD. When I play the DVD after I have successfully burned the project, I get video but no sound. I have tried both normalize audio checked and unchecked with the same results. I am using DVD-video as the recording format. I am running VS Pro x4.
View 3 Replies View RelatedUsing VS Pro X2 on a 2.67GHz i5 with 4GB of memory running Windows 7 Home Premium.
Had lots of problems creating this project as during rendering to DVD or to a file it would get about 80% and then get the dreaded "Program not responding" message from Windows 7 Home Premium. I solved that problem by reducing the size of the many images that I had in the project and successfully rendered to an mpg file which has sound ok.
Now when I try to render to a DVD, at the preview stage there is no sound, but there was sound before I reduced the size of the images in the project.
I am using VideoStudio X5. Generally video clips in various formats play properly in VS - except for MPG clips. In the case of those, the sound is very "echoey". In other words all the sound is repeated just a second or so later even though I know it is fine in the original. I do not have the same problem in other formats such as avi or wmv.

I'm using win7, and just from today, x4 has stopped giving any sound output. Playing mpg files I can see the sound levels in the mixer, but there's no output audio. I can hear mpg audio in other players, just not in Corel.
I am attempting to transfer old VHF video to DVD. Using Hauppauge win Tv capture I achieve a surprisingly good quality sound and vision when capturing and all appears well. But! when I play back the VSP, after approx 2 seconds the sound starts going out of sync and progressively gets further and further out of sync, at worst approx 1 min separation. I hoped that after rendering this would correct itself, but no. I am using UVS 1.

I just used it for the first time after upgrading from X3. I rendered a short video and when I tried playing it back the slide moves across the "time bar" BUT there is no motion on the screen. The same when I tried to play it w/Windows Media player.
I started coverting MPEG 4 video to DivX which always worked in X3. No I get no motion at all and no sound. Do I have a bad download?
